Reviews for Les Palatines

Review 1:The check in time on the booking confirmation was inaccurate. The location address was inaccurate and we had difficulty finding it. We arrived at 6pm and there were no staff at the location to give us access to the building or our room. We did however receive a text in French, giving us instructions eventually, and thankfully one of the residents helped us. Next morning [Sunday] , although breakfast was advertised on the booking confirmation and in the residence itself - there were no staff, no breakfast room open - so no breakfast!! we had trouble finding anywhere to eat in close proximity. This experience has put us off visiting St Etienne again.

Review 2:There was a lift. the room was large [but very small balcony]. Comfortable Bed. A very helpful member of staff came and opened our room for us when we inadvertantly locked ourselves out of the room!!

Review 3:Everything is fine.

Review 4:Very reasonable nice place for overnight on the way from Marseille toOrleans. Easy to find by gprs. The staff contacted us before our arrivaland gave all the instructions how to get in for our late arrival.

Review 5:Could do with a proper oven as microwave-combis are never as good. The restaurants nearby are limited.

Review 6:We stayed here for 4 days, and found the apartments smart and clean, and pretty well appointed. The rooms (1 lounge/bedroom/kitchen & 1 bathroom) are large and spacious, and the beds are large and comfortable. Short walk away is a Savoiarde Restaurant called the Raclette. Also nearby is a Casino supermarket. Plus St Etienne centre is only a 3km walk/tram/drive away.

Review 7:WiFi was drama, couldn't connect every 5 minutes. Flat was a little lower level than a balcony so we felt like in a basement.

Review 8:If you travel with kids it's very good option - we had two rooms (bed and living) small kitchen and a bathroom. Close to mall and small grocery (for breakfast)

Review 9:Very narrow garage

Review 10:Very kind staff Good option to stay for 5-member family

Review 11:It annoyed the noise from the elevator.

Review 12:Very bad

Review 13:No A/C or fans in the apartment

Review 14:Nice location

Review 15:No air conditioning

Review 16:kitchen, room

Review 17:Can be a little noisey as its in a built up area.

Review 18:The convenience and the ability to cater for ourselves.

Review 19:Value for money.

Review 20:Very noisy people staying next to us and the lift was very noisy and descriptions of rooms poor would say it was for 2 people not 4

Review 21:Easy access

Review 22:breakfast was a bit expensive

Review 23:everything met my expectations, quite cheap

Review 24:only basic kitchenware; located in not a nice neighborhood

Review 25:reasonably priced; helpful staff

Review 26:Not in the best part of town

Review 27:Fair facilities in the apartment

Review 28:Is seems more appropriate to live there for a short period while lookingfor an apartment in the area. It did not have anything related to a citytrip (E.G. maps, touristic advice etc.) I would have rather stayed inPuy-en-Velay after I visited it.

Review 29:This is located in an apartment building, has good sound proofisolation, perfectly equipped kitchen, good Wifi. Center of St Etienneis 2.5 km to walk or alternatively you could take the tram.

Review 30:- so noisy at night. there was a pipe that echoed every time water came down through it which was located in the kitchen / lounge area. I could hear clearly from the bedroom and it kept my children awake because they were in the cot / fold out bed in the lounge area next to the kitchen.

Review 31:- there was a great park right outside, very good for those with children - the bedroom was big enough and the bed comfortable - there wasn't a sponge/cloth to clean dishes with, but the staff very happily supplied one when requested - Very cheap

Review 32:The acconodation provided was sutiable for our overnight stay. Withsmall children having a park right next door was a bonus. There isavailable parking at a cost but we also had not trouble finding a freecar park in the street, if the hotel car parking is fully booked.

Review 33:2 weeks before our arrival the hotel informed us that there was noguarantee for parking (even though it said so at the bookingtime). Thiswas unfortunate as we were travelling through France with a lot ofbaggage, and always chooses hotels where our car can park safely. Thehotel are placed in an area outside the citycenter. We couldn't find arestaurant anywhere and ended up in a shoppingmall for oureveningdinner. The area didn't feel "safe".

Review 34:We got a very large room for our family of 6. There was a bedroomfor 3 kids and a bedroom for us parents. Our last child slept in anextra bed in the livingroom. There was a huge terrasse. The staff asvery friendly.

Review 35:Noisy, you can hear everything in the adjacent rooms, as well as thewater flushing from the toilets

Review 36:Location is good: close to tramway for accessing downtown St-Etienne andclose to the Pilat National Park.

Review 37:It had no atmosphere but that didn't worry us. It is a little out of theway and a tram to the city centre is a fair walk away.

Review 38:Our family rated this hotel six out of ten. The room was more like anappartment, and it was clean. The bathroom was clean and everythingworked. On site parking was good and although it looks like a shabbyneighbourhood, it was quiet and safe. Overall good value for the money.
