Reviews for Residence Hôtelière La Renardiere
Review 1:Comfort in seating area of lounge was a bit limited due to small sofa Maybe some cushions for the seats around the table?
Review 2:Great location. Short walk to village centre. Cosy, homely feel. Nice decor, particularly communal lounge area. Lovely staff. Very helpful in scanning documents when one of our party had ski accident (shame, but good to have such nice supportive staff at hotel). Thank you!
Review 3:Bathroom shower did not work very well.
Review 4:Good location on the edge of the village with great views of the mountains. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools both a good size. Mini kitchen in a cupboard in the room so you can make some basic meals and a fridge to chill the beer.
Review 5:No negatives. Self catering apartments would benefit from an oven rather then dishwasher!
Review 6:We went for downhill mountain biking. Perfect location, great area. Close to other centres
Review 7:room 402 is not the best located. If you want to nap in the afternoon, you might be woken up by the guests in the swimming pool No air conditioning. It was 40 degrees during our stay in July
Review 8:Child friendly: high chair, games rooms, outdoor play den, staff foresaw our needs before we ask Receptionist is so resourceful and friendly. She understands who it takes to travel with kid
Review 9:you need to take dressing gowns with you if you want to use the pool otherwise you wander round with your towel as there are no changing facilities at the pool.
Review 10:Nice room for a family to stay in.
Review 11:Nothing significant at all - wi-fi a little slow at times and self catering facilities a little basic - but fine for simple meals
Review 12:Characterful with good facilities and comfort - great option for mix of self catering/hotel Good value for money
Review 13:Quite warm in the bedrooms to start with.
Review 14:Staff were always on hand and helpful with all service. Pool and jacuzzi were a pleasant extra and temperature is fine. Room sizes, kitchen equipment and daily bakery order were big pluses.
Review 15:An oven/grill would have been useful as would more plugs in the kitchen Having to pay extra to use the sauna/steam room
Review 16:Great little studio apartment with lovely decor and mountain views Bakery service arranged for the mornings was really good and convenient The hotel arranged our ski passes The staff were friendly and helpful Being provided with a cleaning kit including bin bags and dishwasher tablets (although it would have been good to provide washing up liquid too)
Review 17:Nothing bad to report. Suggestions for improvement would be to extend the opening of the bar/lounge area as it was all closed up at 8pm, which was a pity. Pool & jacuzzi could have been warmer.
Review 18:Loved the character of the property, particularly the cosy lounge area. Room was well planned with a generous balcony, lovely mountain views. Pool & spa area was very pleasant.Quietly set back from road. Easy picturesque walk into Samoens.
Review 19:The Wifi reception is patchy at best. Stick to the room overlooking the pool for best reception ... the rest of the house is not very well accessible for Internet. Every additional service come with a small fee so, the final bill may be a touch higher than expected, but not much...
Review 20:The proprietor and her staff are very friendly and helpful. Once you know the ins and outs of the place (reception/bar shuts down at 8, so take your key with you if you go out for dinner!), it's a very pleasant and rustic place to spend your vacation. Clean, accessible, and good value ... no problems. If you don't want to move your car for the duration, don't. Skibus runs frequently and "town" is a five minute walk away.
Review 21:Tepid Jacuzzi and pool temperature, reception lounge bar opening hours far too short especially considering that it is such a cosy welcoming and pleasant place to relax and enjoy a drink.
Review 22:Good facilities, good Wi-Fi, overall presentation of accommodation, excellent hot water, helpfulness of staff
Review 23:- Breakfast didn't seem like a worthwhile option - Jacuzzi could be warmer - No boot warmers
Review 24:- Great location with easy access to ski bus and village centre - Rooms a good size and comfy beds - Great pool and Jacuzzi and Sauna is cheap - Bar area is great to relax in after a long day on the slopes
Review 25:(very) minor gripes and picky complaints were the wifi, although free, was quite intermittent. Also the knives were quite blunt and the space the dishwasher took up would have been better used with an oven. As said though, these are minor complaints you would find in any hotel. Overall Much recommended!!
Review 26:The hotel was functional and well laid out. Private lockers for ski equipment was a bonus as anyone who has been the victim of mixed up ski's in the morning will tell you!! The room was spacious and clean. It included a free safe, excellent bed and shower. The kitchen in a cupboard idea was great and served us well for the week. The hotel also provides a order in bakery service so you can collect french bread etc from the reception at 08.00 The ski bus that comes every 15 mins is a ~50 meter walk from the hotel and as it is the first stop in the morning you always get a seat. It is a short journey from the hotel to the lifts. There are some excellent shops in the town center to stock up with supplies for the week. There is also a Carrefour supermarket just outside the town.
Review 27:Jacuzzi could have been a little warmer.
Review 28:Our 2nd visit to La Renardiere. Location ideal with a good ski bus service.Pretty village and ideal for non skiers too. Dog friendly with lovely walks.Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Rank as one of our best for accommodation in a ski resort.
Review 29:can't think of anything-new coffee maker perhaps would be good but no great problem
Review 30:the apartment was ideal for a couple with a small dog close to town the bar had a friendly ambiance we loved it and will certainly book again
Review 31:Breakfast was expensive.
Review 32:The hotel reception and lounge area were delightful, the facilities (pools and spa) were much appreciated as the weather was not so kind when we stayed, the staff were very friendly and the general ambience of the Hotel was clean and had an alpine-feel - just perfect.
Review 33:Everything was fine!
Review 34:Very comfortable and cosy Resident with an excellent apartment. The pool and jacuzzi was nice. We really liked our stay at the hotel!

Review 36:Lovely chalet, if you adore mountains like we do, your heart will be touched! Beautiful views from the spacious balcony, outdoor and indoor pool, lovely garden, comfortable room and well equipped kitchen... plus very warm service, you will be greeted and cared for like an old friend - adorable place to stay!
Review 37:Lounge closed at 8pm and hence unable to get a drink after that time

Review 41:Rustic charm and warm atmosphere. Nice pool and a great games room.Good location for skibus. Would definitely return.
Review 42:The hotel has a great atmosphere, the bar is just lovely, the staff are very friendly.
Review 43:Very poor wife, even the 5 euro/day 'premium' service.
Review 44:Lovely festive feel, with traditional decorations and log fires.
Review 45:Our accommodation was on the ground floor overlooking the pool, very convenient as the weather was in the mid 30*s all week. BBC TV.

Review 59:Lovely old style small hotel just a few mins walk from village center..sauna,small pool, hamman, and very welcoming lounge area w fireplace..
Review 60:Location was excellent
Review 61:Excellent location very close to ski bus stop
Review 62:The bar area is really an extended reception lounge, and is closed at 8pm. But there are plenty of bars/cafes a short walk away in town.
Review 63:Great location on edge of town and very easy to get to ski slopes. Nice pool and jacuzzi. Peaceful.
Review 64:Not very well noice insulated. You can hear people in the coridor talking laudly.
Review 65:Good location close to the village centre. If going by car just put Samoens centre and will be after the small church on the bend oposit the bus stop. Friendly staff. WIFI in the rooms, albeit intermitent. Ample parking space. Kitchen was good and balcony useful
Review 66:Having to clean our own room, but it actually only took 20 mins as we tried to clean every day to avoid a mad rush. Early check out time of 10am but worth asking if can check out later as we got an extra hour.
Review 67:Spacious, for the money, room which was spotlessly clean and decorated in the quaint local style. Pool and jacuzzi is a nice additional facility. We were allowed to check in early as soon as we got there and they gave us an extra hour in the room in the morning.
Review 68:No ski boot dryers. Reception, lounge and bar close at 8pm
Review 69:Good modest apartment with two rooms. This was ideal with two children. Small hidden kitchen with ideal facilities.
Review 70:bar area closed at 830 and was a nice area to relax in and so had to go back to a small room. the cleaning on the last day would have been better just included in the room rate rather than a seperate charge.
Review 71:the pool and nice bar area to sit in
Review 72:12 euros for the optional breakfast soon had us popping down to thevillage.for stores..
Review 73:Great accmmodation and handy for ski bus and short stroll to village.Pool facilities excellent. Nice people. Will stay agian in summer.
Review 74:Lobby and lounge/bar closed at 8pm. Very poor!
Review 75:Very friendly, very caring for customers, and cater to every need. Home away from home feeling in a typical mountain challet.
Review 76:The only small thing is that heating in underfloor and controllable. It can be too hot through the night but throw off the covers and it's grand! It really is a small thing - everything else is wonderful - highly recommend this hotel!
Review 77:Gorgeous hotel, friendly staff - well stocked kitchen lovely ambience. This was our second stay and we will definitely be back again!
Review 78:Wi fi was not working in our room
Review 79:Lovely hotel with cosy fire place in the lobby and friendly and helpful staff. Apartment is good size with comfortable bed and view on the mountains. There is opportunity to book breakfast to be served in apartment or dining area. Swimming pool and jacuzzi is an added bonus, there is also sauna and hammam which could be booked for private use (extra pay required though).
Review 80:As others have commented, lovely leisure facilities - better if the jacuzzi was a few degrees warmer!
Review 81:Beautifully decorated comfortable lounge with a welcoming fire. Really nice rooms with plenty of storage space and ingenious 'kitchen in a cupboard' including a dishwasher. Plenty of storage space. Friendly, helpful staff. Very convenient for the skibus and easy walk into town for shops and villages. Highly recommended. We were there for a winter holiday but you can tell the place is stunning in summer too...
Review 82:Nothing!
Review 83:Décor, warm comfortable rooms, range of services available, pools, welcome, atmosphere, convenient for access to roads/ski bus. Just outside village centre so not too noisy or busy but easy walk in (250 metres) to shops and restaurants. Pleasant staff, helpful and accommodating.
Review 84:They have a lovely lounge area with fire but the bar is only open until 8pm. We would have enjoyed a drink there after dinner most nights.
Review 85:Very reasonable price for accommodation with spa facilities, right next to the ski bus stop (5mins to lift) and a 5 min walk into town.
Review 86:- I think the apartment upstairs had tiled floor as they were very noisy - it would be good to have some salt and pepper in the kitchen area - soft chairs/ small sofa in the apartment would have been good
Review 87:- lovely lounge with real fire - lovely traditional decor - nice apartment and outlook - nice staff
Review 88:Staff were a bit slow, ordering drinks at the bar took a long time. Swimming pool had no chairs / loungers around the outside and the jacuzzi wasn't very warm. Disappointing leisure facilities.
Review 89:Nice room, good size and comfy bed. Good balcony with view of the mountains. Nice bar area.
Review 90:I have to say there wasn't really anything that I didn't like about it - if you're skiing and don't have a car you'd need to take the skibus to the lifts but the bus stop is very close to the hotel
Review 91:We stayed at La Renardiere for a short skiing WE and really enjoyed our stay - the room was lovely, great views onto the mountains, a handy little kitchen useful for keeping drinks and snacks, easy to walk into town and great to have a swimming pool for a swin after skiiing - I'd definitely go back
