Reviews for Comfort Hotel Harrow

Review 1:Bathroom filthy and the noise of buzzing : humming possibly from air con systems or heating just outside window.

Review 2:Nothing! Noisy room distinct hum and buzz all night kept me awake from outside below window.

Review 3:extremely helpful lady manager - who went out of her way to give us a suitable room and made sure we were comfortable. All the staff were customer focused. Even thought it was an old hotel it provided value for money.. not the Ritz ,but neither was it the Ritz prices ...

Review 4:The room had a horrible smell, a mix of chlorine and mouldy cloths. The whole hotel is in need of a good facelift, it's in a bad state of repair. Very uncomfortable stay, bed has springs poking you, walls stained, bathroom taps not working. Disgusted!

Review 5:Too many problems from start to finish and wasn't dealt with in a good way. Power cut no tv wardrobe fell down on my partner and hurt him cockroaches in bathroom

Review 6:Area

Review 7:Room was too hot and we had to request heading to be adjusted as we were unable to do so. The restaurant and bar meals were closed until further notice.

Review 8:Good location close to University of Westminster Quiet room, no noise from parties or from corridor. Comfortable beds

Review 9:There wasn't much to dislike however as the room did not have air-conditioning, then the windows should have wider openings to the main hotel rooms just as they are in the annexe rooms.

Review 10:The staff were helpful and on hand 24/7. The room was clean and tended to each day at my convenience. Within walking distance to Harrow centre and there was ample on site parking.

Review 11:Out of date furnishings but I accept the price we paid was such good value but would have been happy paying a bit extra for a few more modern surroundings.

Review 12:Hotel needs a bit of a facelift but in general helpful and friendly staff especially the gentleman waiter at breakfast!

Review 13:A rather tired hotel, which could do with some updating. Room was so so and bathroom was probably a bit worse. Just tired!

Review 14:Parking was ok and breakfast was ok

Review 15:The place looks grime, old carpets, etc. The corridor to the hotel room smelt very bad. I had to make a complain to the hotel staff who came out to investigate, but unfortunately all the rooms in hotel were fully book, so we ended up losing out and no compensation were made because the hotel manager was not around.

Review 16:It's in a nice quite Location so you can get a decent sleep, not far from local shops.

Review 17:Reported toilet not working on check of room when we left still not working also smell of sewage in bar and restaurant area.Had to take the top off the toilet to flush it not happy.

Review 18:Very nice breakfast and room

Review 19:The entire hotel was too hot - we had heating turned off in our room right from the start of our 6 night stay & the windows open, yet when we walked out into the corridor it was stifling. We had windows open all the time too.

Review 20:It was convenient for us, as we like to be near family & friends who live in Harrow area.

Review 21:A musky smell in the room and only one power socket by the desk. Expensive wif-fi. Door to the annexe of rooms was permanently unlocked but supposed to be accessed only by key cards. Toilet seat would not stay up! Restaurant closed on the night I stayed and restricted menu available from the bar (the attendant disappeared for minutes at a time as so few people present, thereby missing a group who arrived to eat, waited and left! No option for continental breakfast only - all £7.95.

Review 22:Proximity to place of work. Free parking.

Review 23:Tired decoration. Dusty public rooms. Distinct stale water smell in entrance from car park.

Review 24:Location good for tube. Staff friendly. Bedroom a good size and clean. Good car park.

Review 25:The staff were absolutely brilliant, helpful, friendly and polite, we didn't expect such a high level of service for such a reasonably priced hotel. we had a lovely time!

Review 26:The staff seemed very stressed and busy, could of given more time for us but pleasant none the less.

Review 27:Perfect location, near shops and 20 mins on bus from Wembley Arena.

Review 28:Uncomfortable Narrow single beds, with a dove made up of old woolen blanket possible last cleaned years ago, was stuffed in a narrow dove cover. I strongly advice inspecting these blankets. Broken toilet seat.

Review 29:good heating and hot water

Review 30:First room dingy. Shower mixer not working. Only HOT scolding water. Second room lighter. Bathroom not good. Breakfast, food not ready. Toaster two slice, slow.

Review 31:Checking Out

Review 32:Had to change rooms no working heater and internet didnt work.toilet didnt flush properly taps were not working properly water was cold then too hot burnt my hand and mg patners.

Review 33:The location was good the place was well presented.

Review 34:The room was a little shabby compaired to the photos on line, however the bed was comfy and the the bedding second to none. I would use this hotel again as the staff were friendly and helpful, but with a better room.

Review 35:bathroom...the water could not be regulated so it was impossible to have a good shower no lifts rooms were far away so it was hard with the luggage

Review 36:the proximity to the shops

Review 37:My double room was very compact. Walls are thin between rooms. Floors creak - but it is an older property after all.

Review 38:Enjoyed breakfast. All staff I met were pleasant and helpful. More quiet than a high street hotel.

Review 39:The room was in very poor condition, the floor was unstable, the walls were very thin, developments in other rooms and corridorswas clearly heard, ones the alaram in the room for 10 sec. suddenly activated that I was very scared. The toilet tank at every was filed in hour and more.

Review 40:The staff was correct Cleanliness was solid

Review 41:The hotel was extremely hot - all heating was on full everywhere, room was a little small.

Review 42:Lovely friendly staff, very warm and comfortable hotel and relaxing atmosphere in bar area and reception.

Review 43:The pillows in the room were a liitle thin and i would prefer them a bit thicker. Everything else was great.

Review 44:The staff where i stayed were really friendly and chatty. They made me feel welcome straight away and give me directions for anywhere I wanted to go and they were also easy to talk to and made me feel welcome all the time i was there.

Review 45:My Office booked this room for me on the Office credit card. When I arrived, they could not charge to this card as I did not have it. the Receptionist said that I would have to use another card. If I had not arrived, you would have charged the card but the girl said that as I did not have the card it may have been a stolen card and they could not charge to this card. funny as if I did not show, they would have charged. !!!

Review 46:Stairs dirty. 2 of us staying but you could only have a tea or coffee. For that price also they could have given a packet of biscuits. Difficulty parking in their car park because they seem to let lots of van stays s overnight

Review 47:Nice lounge easy checkout

Review 48:Musty smell in bathroom, too hot in rooms. Floor throughout 2nd floor very uneven and loose under carpet. Definitely not what expected from photos on line.

Review 49:Bar area and reception looked nice modern and clean. Clean sheets in room.

Review 50:Room was extremely noisy with a wedding reception on floor directly below. This was not advised at time of booking.

Review 51:Location was handy for where I needed to be, staff were friendly.

Review 52:Staff are completely wonderful. They had two dogs which were also completely adorable. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. I was able to fully relax and enjoy my stay.

Review 53:Room perhaps a little small but still comfortable and snug.

Review 54:Good stand of room in a budget hotel with a comfortable bed and a warm room. A very good cooked breakfast and there was no cost for my 9 year old daughter's breakfast. Good accessible location with tube stations and bus stops close by.

Review 55:Net curtains in room need replacing for fresher ones. Toilet flush a bit awkward. Needs replacing.

Review 56:Cosy room. Homely. Good selection of enjoyable food at breakfast. Comfortable lounge/bar area. Friendly helpful staff. 24 hour reception cover. Easy parking.

Review 57:The hotel was just what we wanted for our one night stay. There wasn't anything we disliked.

Review 58:Farman was very helpful. When we checked in there was a christening celebration directly under our assigned room. He assessed the noise, before we saw the room, decided it was far too loud and therefore assigned us to another room immediately. Thank you. That was very thoughtful. Courteous pleasant and helpful staff. Nice breakfast.

Review 59:The decor in the room probably needed to be upgraded as was slightly worn , toilet only flushed every other time.

Review 60:The location was ideal for us to travel to Wembley Stadium. 10 mins walk and 2 stops on the tube. Were very helpfull staff when we rang as My ten year old had forgot something in the room.

Review 61:The standard of the hotel was very average but the room I was given was poor. There was a top light window which would open about 3 inches, which was the only ventilation in the room and made the room very hot.The mattress padding on the bed was worn out and the springs were showing through, making the bed very uncomfortable. The on suite bathroom was very out dated and the hot water tap had an airlock which was very dangerous. All the floor boards continually creaked loudly when walked on. The hotel is in desperate need of a major overhaul. Would I stay again, a very affirmative NO, nor would I recommend the hotel to any friends.

Review 62:The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the location was good.

Review 63:Wedding celebrations during the week end (two nights!) with the music sounding under our room until after midnight! We were not warned by the staff about it or proposed a different room.

Review 64:Check in was difficult with a member of staff struggling with English. Plumbing in bathroom is an issue.

Review 65:Proximity to the tube, and quiet hotel. Really helpful staff when we had a problem to be sorted.

Review 66:The hotel is a little run down, our heating did not work and generally it is an old hotel which really needs the rooms to be updated. Bed were really uncomfortable.

Review 67:Staff were attentive and helpful. Our stay was okay as we only needed to sleep so didn't need to spend much time there.

Review 68:I've stayed here before. Hence my return. This time was a completely different experience. Small room, no opening windows, shower set to scalding, noisey party outside and the staff are adamant we had to pay £8 each, each day, for a breakfast We never booked. Despite my 3 calls to booking.com and 2 chats at reception, they still charged me for 2 breakfasts and lied to booking.com. I won't stay again.....there are other places... Easy!

Review 69:Location great for Wembley.

Review 70:Very run down and shabby. Peeling wall paper, mould and stains in bathroom, uncomfortable beds, cheap bedding, curtains too small to block out the light. Creaking floorboards. Broken TV. Remote control missing back panel (batteries gaffa taped into the device). Expensive given the scruffy state of the place.

Review 71:Good location. Polite friendly staff (particularly during my late night check in). My room was spacious.

Review 72:Very very noisy party below day and night - not acceptable - Party music did not stop until 1am! unable to sleep with vibrations of the bass speaker. There was also a party in the morning which woke us up before 9am. no compensation when complained Poor shower

Review 73:basic value room

Review 74:Only enough hot drink items for one cup each (without asking for more), room standard a little low, flakey paint etc but really, not more can be expected. Didn't effect our stay in the slightest.

Review 75:Great for access to Wembly. Free car park. Room was a good size and had facilities (spare pillows and towels) and the bathroom and shower gels were lush!

Review 76:steep stairs, shortage of tea and milk room too hot. phone disturbance. Sandwiches only offered on first night due to a function at hotel.

Review 77:Pleasant staff, clean room but dated quiet area

Review 78:Room and bathroom although clean looked tired and in need of tlc and updating. Served it's purpose for overnight business trip.

Review 79:Clean,comfortable and friendly helpful staff

Review 80:The water pressure needs to be improved as a shower takes a long time. More information if private functions are taking place during your stay.

Review 81:Perfect location

Review 82:We had to change rooms because we had a truly disgusting room. You couldn't move the curtains without clumps of dust falling onto the bed. The bathroom was horrible with what only can be described as a "diving board" into it. The step was so steep it was unreal. Words fail me when describing it. Felt unsafe, staff ok.

Review 83:The location was good, walking distance from the tube station.

Review 84:Hotel rooms/areas in need of update. Poor soap dispensers for showering and hopeless for bath. Beds and bath very small not full size beds in twin room. Toilet very poor flushing. Early noise from car park outside window and people in above rooms.

Review 85:Convenient for tubes about half a mile walking. Good location for Wembley station. Meals available with reasonable choice.

Review 86:Bedrooms tired looking, Double room bathroom was very small and basic. In contrast the single room bathroom was much larger. For two rooms and two nights the stay cost a lot of money,

Review 87:Good breakfast, staff attentive, polite aimed to please, Generally very clean with a good reception. Location ideal for Wembley arena. Free Parking.

Review 88:The room was very dated and extortionately priced due to the Wembley event. It seems more emphasis is put on party bookers which made lots of noise outside and in when we were trying to sleep.

Review 89:The beds were comfy

Review 90:We got a room in a separate building, the front door seemed to be open all day (and night?). Very noisy all night. TV was mounted very high on the wall (hard to watch TV).

Review 91:free car parking at the hotel

Review 92:The air conditioner in our room was old and took a long time to cool the room so my children, partner and I couldn't sleep properly on the first night. It was also very noisy so we couldn't sleep properly on the second night. On the third night we just used the fans that we were given and we slept better. I would have liked a mini fridge and microwave in the bedroom.

Review 93:The location was in a nice quiet residential area not too far from the Town Centre. We liked the fact that it had free parking and a big car park. We didn't eat breakfast but had dinner one night and the food was quite good. The online booking price was not bad compared to other hotels in the area and for the star rating. The Family Room was a good size and so was the bathroom. The use of WiFi was expensive.

Review 94:Stains all over our carpet, curtains didn't meet, noisy from road and late arrivals to rooms. Chair falling to pieces in the corner. Breakfast although first in the dining area was cold and over cooked.Needs total refurbishment, we were in room 203!

Review 95:The staff were friendly enough

Review 96:No facilities at all, its just the room... services like paid wifi is completely a turn off... this should be made free also they should give complementary breakfast when staying for more than one night..

Review 97:Clean rooms

Review 98:The heating was permanently on and as it was July, made it uncomfortable.

Review 99:it had lots of parking spaces, great choices for breakfast considering the price. It was basic accommodation but that was all we needed for a single night.

Review 100:No paid Wi-Fi you had to pay to use it, I also had to pay 2 pound premium for buying a breakfast voucher the same day I used it if I forgot to purchase the night before, that's illogical. Plus they had placards showing dinner specials but the kitchen was closed for dinner. No air con.

Review 101:The location was convenient to travel to London by Underground

Review 102:When I booked it online it didn't tell us that it was a booking for two single beds. I wanted a double bed. Also the receptionist had an attitude when we arrived to check in at 22:00 hours

Review 103:The parking was free and easy

Review 104:I got locked in the bathroom due to a previously broken lock which had been cheaply repaired! Carpets and furniture worn.

Review 105:Breakfast was excellent and the staff very happy and helpful

Review 106:The hallways/ stairs leading to the rooms were a bit grubby but most importantly the room itself was clean. I can't comment on the dining area/food as I did not have any.

Review 107:The hotel was very conveniently located off the main road so the noise of traffic was not an issue and a short walk from the metropole and many different bus routes including those going to and from Heathrow Airport which made it very handy. The staff were all very polite and helpful with providing directions to where I needed to go.

Review 108:Hotel/room was very basic, cold and dark. Bed was very soft and room overall was very small. Maid had started cleaning our room before we had even checked out.

Review 109:Hotel was only a 5 min walk from tube station and 10 min walk from town cente

Review 110:I booked a double room which includes a double bed. The bed we had was two single bed put together. Its was really uncomfortable during the night. This has caused a minor backache. The kettle didn't work so we couldnt have tea or coffee in the morning. When we checked out i mentioned all this to the male at reception, his response was "I'll check it now" at that time it was all too late

Review 111:The location was helpful to our venue.

Review 112:If you had a bad experience, explain it here. The site of some individuals customers who appeared irresponsible.

Review 113:Tell us what you liked best about your stay. The activity of the receptionist, Internet service, and breakfast.

Review 114:The room was boiling hot and only a small fan in the room. There were hairs in the bath. There was an inch gap between the bottom of the door and the carpet. As we where next to the stairs we could hear people banging around the room above us people walking up and down the stairs until 3am. The bar drinks were very expensive.

Review 115:The price

Review 116:Dated inside in need of modernisation. Bathroom had bad leak from air con.

Review 117:Location suited us as fairly near tube. Room fine for overnight stay, basic but sufficient.

Review 118:our window was over the car park which was rather noisy. could a few signs be installed asking car park users to be respectful of guests?

Review 119:good location, good price and value

Review 120:Going to our room was not straight forward with lots of stairs. There was no proper directions from the staff on how to get to our room

Review 121:The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was good too

Review 122:The hotel is in need of a face lift. It is tired looking. Also, we were very disappointed with the hair dryer. It worked for less than a minute then overheated, making it inefficient and dangerous.

Review 123:The location and general value for money

Review 124:The hotel's corridor leading to my room smelled like rotten carpet and the building didn't have lift. Receptionist (he) was quite rude and sarcastic.

Review 125:Breakfast was really nice. Bed relaxing and comfortable.

Review 126:One of the rooms we booked (a double in a building disconnected from the reception, facing the car park) didn't really have a strong curtain to block out the sunlight in the morning. There was also the smell of cigarettes in the room, probably coming in from the ventilation connected to the car park where people were blasting music from their cars and gathering in large groups to converse. Not a good night's rest on a night with an event at the hotel, but the second time we stayed in another room we didn't have these problems and the room was quite big and quieter. The room we had for a week was very small, with a smaller bathroom -- but we didn't stay in the room our whole stay, it was just a place to sleep. We did use the 24 hr dry cleaning service provided at the hotel, but we waited longer to get our laundry back from wherever it went-- the receptionist was very helpful in retrieving it back though. Only other thing was our card stopped working one of the nights. A tour bus of check-ins clouded the desk and we had to wait quite awhile to get our room card activated again.

Review 127:The rooms were cleaned every day and rubbish emptied. The bigger room we had in the same building as the reception was spacious and quiet (triple room).

Review 128:Hotel rooms were so warm that it was impossible to sleep. Morning staff weren't overly friendly. Breakfast wasn't good, poor selection, especially Considering its extra. We paid over £140 for 1 night with breakfast because there were gigs at Wembley and availability in the area was poor, even so it didn't come close to justifying this price.

Review 129:good location for tube station, access to Wembley, quiet area. Free Onsite parking. Reception staff were helpful. It's a little tired but If you can get it cheap and put up with the heat in rooms it serves it purpose and is a good budget hotel.

Review 130:The price of breakfast, for the price you pay for the room you'd think breakfast would be a little fairer priced. For what you get it just doesn't seem right. Rooms are basic but clean, had a fan which we were so grateful for as he weather was scorching. Nothing that a lick of paint wouldn't fix.

Review 131:Staff were friendly Location to train and tube stations were good

Review 132:How hot the building was and the smallness of the bathroom

Review 133:Staff were very friendly and helpful and was able to check in earlier than expected witch was good

Review 134:Very dated room, bed base old, room old fashioned, bathroom tiles dirty, noise above room 151 ceiling creeking when occupants walked on floor. breakfast very average.

Review 135:Receptionist she was a cheeful lady, on check in.

Review 136:Huge black cockroach crawling up the wall just as we were settling down to bed. Consequently did not sleep well . Kettle did not work, but was replaced. Toilet seat was hanging off. Wallpaper very grubby and patched up

Review 137:Price - should have realised its too cheap. Breakfast - good value, lots of fresh cooked food.

Review 138:Bed highly uncomfortable room very hot even with window open, Smelt of Damp housekeepers extremely noisy shouting and banging from 7. Breakfast had no food had ten min wait. Ran out of hot water coffee cups juice ..

Review 139:Tube Station 10 min walk straight to Wembley (use Northwick Park not Kenton) Taxi was £11 so the staff said so great for sharing. Lots of guests going to same show just ask about

Review 140:Pleasant, friendly staff. Clean comfortable room. Did not use the restaurant for dinner but had the breakfast which was of good quality. The hotel also has a bar on site.

Review 141:Unbearably hot rooms with no air as Windows only open a crack at top.Very noisy , hotel room doors slam shut constantly due to key card system .Absolutely brain rattling. Lots of families staying there , suggest a holding pen for dss families awaiting housing. Kids running in abd out

Review 142:Not a bad location fir ease of access to Wembley stadium.
