Reviews for Hôtel Les Jardins De Sainte-Maxime
Review 1:all was perfect!
Review 2:Goran from the front desk was very polite, helpful and he offer us refreshment on arrival. Thank you once again and see again definitely :)
Review 3:We were missing a minibar in our room.
Review 4:Great pool! On walking distance to the centre of the village (20 mins), close to the sea. Very comfortable hotel for this price. Balcony is nice to have. The area the hotel is located is very quiet, so we had a nice, relaxing stay here. We will definately come back!
Review 5:dangerous slippery swimming pool floor. desorganized breakfast disposition, we need to have patience ! be aware of room like mine that was above the services to the restaurant and so at 07am they start to do noise unloading and some cleaning ladies do to much noise also while cleaning the other rooms
Review 6:front desk help ! free parking
Review 7:The room was fairly basic and small. This was't a big problem but a small sofa or chair would have been nice,
Review 8:Lovely pool area, very clean and lovely staff. I wouldn't hesitate to go back
Review 9:All in this hotel was like a hotel in 70's. They need extremely urgent renovation!!! Bad and small rooms, not clean and no mini bar inside!!
Review 10:the forest park near to the hotel complex
Review 11:Noisy hordes of children at breakfast; way too expensive with wrong price-performance-ratio.
Review 12:Good location near the beach, which is within walking distance; clean (bath-) room; nice staff.
Review 13:There was no fridge in the room, no cattle or even a tea cups/glasses for water, unstable Wi-Fi.
Review 14:We had a clean, nice and spacious room (2nd floor) with a beautiful view over the pool and sea (including Saint Tropez far on the horizon).Towels were changed daily, lots of privacy due to separate entry (did not need to pass reception). Pleasant 5 mins walk to the nice beach through a Botanic garden with lovely smell of pine trees. Enough free parking, 25 mins walk to ferry (to S. Tropez and Port Grimoud). 15-20 mins walk to the town centre.
Review 15:Our room was small just enough room for the bed but the wardrobe doors couldn't open fully in the space. However it was very clean, and the bathroom was huge.
Review 16:It was a lovely hotel with a nice pool and gardens. The staff were helpful and friendly.
Review 17:Wifi cut out every 24 hours very annoying! No fridge in room. No room to open wardrobe door fully as bed in way, could put in sliding doors maybe?
Review 18:Lovely swimming Pool. Walking distance of sea and 1 mile to St Maxime town
Review 19:Hotel given my room away by internal mistake and when I ve mention theychanged from garden room to pool window but my pool balcony notavailable! No discount or offer been made and charged full price.
Review 20:Location, clean, free parking, pool and ammenities.
Review 21:We travelled as a family for a special birthday and specifically booked for the facilities-gym sauna and pool as an active family. The gym was very poorly stocked, had a few cardio machines no mats or weights etc most things didn't work. We had to pay for towels for the pool, and entry 8 euros for 30 mins of sauna per person. Needless to say we didn't end up using the facilities. There was no fridge in the room or tea and coffee making facilities. I would expect more from the price and stars. Disappointed.
Review 22:Breakfasts the best ever, such choice great quality and beautiful setting overlooking the terrace. Beautiful view form one of the bedrooms with balcony. Close to the ferry for St Tropez.
Review 23:Liked everything!
Review 24:New hotel, ample free parking, close to the beach, clean and confortable. Staff was wonderful! St. Maxine is a great little town. Had dinner at La Cuisine de Cesar, great food and atmosphere!
Review 25:Wifi in room didn't work and although one guy at reception assisted with logging on in lobby there was no offer to resolve the fundamental problem
Review 26:Price
Review 27:A long walk from the main town area. In spite of its facilities the hotel seemed to lack any real atmosphere. Several large groups there during our stay.
Review 28:Lovely pool, easy parking, good facilities, efficient staff.
Review 29:we planned to drive to the hotel. however, didn't get our car at the airport. Took bus from Nice airport to the hotel, and it was painful.
Review 30:friendly staff and clean room
Review 31:I was aloted room on secong floor ,and I have to carry my luggage it was very tiring same when I checked out. They should provide some help for second floor guests. Secondly I booked two rooms ,15 days earlier ,and both rooms were on different floors,so every time when we have to meet each other we have to go to the other floor, while making booking ,we requested for the same floor,in my openion it was not a very deal for hotel to give two rooms on same floor.
Review 32:Hotel was having a small way to beach you just have to walk 5 minutes and you will reach at Beach side ,where you can spend quality times. Staff was very good English Speaking,There were picture of Indian Monuments and God ,good selection by the owner. The Lady at reception was very nice lady very friendly,Bar was fully equipped ,Barman was very young handsome boy with a smiling face all the tiem
Review 33:Pool very cold, you couldn't stay in it for too long despite it being 35degrees outside. This however was a small price to pay for how beautiful it was. Rooms slightly dated in design but very clean.
Review 34:Great pool, great view of the bay from our room, excellent food and friendly staff. Very clean!!
Review 35:Dinner: the quality of the food in the reastaurant was very poor, both for the dish that was ordered by me (fish from the main menu) and my husband (noodles with chicken). Menu looked very nice but the food was not good at all. I think my food was warmed up in the mircowave as the salad/avocado at the side was very warm, even hot, and the fish itself very dry and chewy, i could not eat it. We had to wait very long time even for the water/drinks and then for the food. I had to remind about our drinks 30 min after we ordered. In the end, I was charged twice for one glass of wine (probably because the waiter did not realize I did not get my first ordered drink). I noticed that only at the check out, as we were not given a final bill to sign in the restaurant so I paid twice as it was too late to explain. So after one meal, we never went to the hotel restaurant for a dinner.
Review 36:Apart from the dinner in the restaurant, everything was very good including the brackfast and friendliness of the personnel.
Review 37:Nothing to dislike, provided you are not looking for comfort That is what you pay the extra money for 4 star for
Review 38:This delivers everything that a 3 star should offer, well run, good value and good facilities. But it is not luxury,
Review 39:The child's bed was inappropriate as there was a wooden shelf and my son banged his head most nights. The room was really a double and to be honest you get more space at a travelodge.th
Review 40:The cleanliness was good.
Review 41:I had at first the impression that in high season booking.com people are not very appreciated. But... after first contact all personnel at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We could prolong our stay in the hotel for a couple of days only changing the room. They made it possible even in full house situation!
Review 42:Location a bit up the hill and far from the city centre. Walk is 15-20 mins and it can get annoying after 2 times. We had a car so ended up using it a lot.
Review 43:Pool, OK rooms, grounds, free parking, nice restaurant.
Review 44:Staff at thé réception was not nice several women doping nothing and letting you waiting like you weee not welcome . Thé Man in this afternoon was really Nice and helpful
Review 45:Wonderful location
Review 46:Location a little bit long from the "city" but with older children or only adults the walk was not to long. The bar and food at the hotel, no hit.
Review 47:The close location to the beach was excellent. Good service in the reception. Rooms ok. A lot of nice restaurants in the "city".
Review 48:The dinner was not good. But service was good.
Review 49:Huge pool
Review 50:The view on the pool, the balcony and the location
Review 51:Nothing
Review 52:Excellent hotel with great facilities and lovely breakfast.
Review 53:Bedroom was terrible and the spare bed for our daughter was like a coffin ! Not good Booking.com
Review 54:The pool area ...
Review 55:bit far to St Maxime if you don´t drive
Review 56:paradise!!! super good , clean, confi - could stay there longer if i could!!! pool is amazing!
Review 57:The food was bad which doesn't happen often in France
Review 58:Carpets in rooms stained
Review 59:Lovely pool. Nice breakfast and staff were great
Review 60:Location
Review 61:Having to pay €3 for a pool towel, felt this let the hotel down.
Review 62:Lovely hotel, big swimming pool, about 20 mins walk from centre. Plenty of parking.
Review 63:Location in the park but close to the beach. Very quiet area with lovely smell of flowers and trees.
Review 64:Clean, efficient and friendly staff, locality, facilities must things , very relaxing stay
Review 65:Seclusion, peacefulness, lovely view and seating around the pool.
Review 66:No room service; unstable wi-fi
Review 67:Well located near center of town; good breakfast; clean and well maintained
Review 68:Value Swimming Pools Staff Car Park Wi-Fi
Review 69:Location Facilities
Review 70:Lovely, big and clean rooms, big swimming pool. The hotel is located very close to the beautiful beach.
Review 71:It would be good if there was a fridge in the room
Review 72:Great place' lovely staff - very nice holiday location
Review 73:Car parking poor and hard to get taxi
Review 74:Staff were excellent and helpful and friendly
Review 75:The hotel had a musty feel. Staff were busy with a big group.
Review 76:The pool was large, the parking handy, the rooms big.
Review 77:Wifi was poor.
Review 78:Pool was great, parking was good. Rooms clean and comfortable.
Review 79:walk up hill to return
Review 80:swimming pool
Review 81:Great facilities and near to beach and St Tropez ferry
Review 82:Outdated gym facilities and wifi was not the best No fridge in room
Review 83:Resort style beautiful gardens and pool, close to beach. Free on site parking
Review 84:The WiFi was disconnecting every time our iPads switched to sleep, and we needed to register or to enter username and quite long passwords 100 times each day! I think they could organize it better. The hotel is quite far from the city, and if you don't have a car - you have to have strong legs to do this journey to have a lunch! The restaurant was usually closed until 19:30, and the filet of daurade they serve was uneatable.
Review 85:Very nice hotel, clean and comfortable rooms. Excellent view on the pool and garden. Because of weather we enjoyed swimming pool located inside, which was also clean.
Review 86:The room did not have tea & coffee making faclities or a fridge to keep drinks cool. The outside pool was very cold but it was September. The resturant had a very limited choice. If these things were improved it would certainly make a 4 star hotel.
Review 87:We stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon, the room was good with a terrace. There were plenty of sunbeds and tables and chairs to sit by the pool. Bar was very good with a good selection of alcohol. Location was excellent a short walk to the beach which was perfect. The staff were pleasant and spoke fairly good english which was useful. I would recommend this hotel.
Review 88:Great hotel, lovely clean room with all amenities you'd expect. We had a room with a view over the pool looking towards Saint Tropez. The walk into Sainte-Maxime along the seafront took about 15-20 minutes. No complaints. On reflection both my wife and I preferred staying in Sainte-Maxime rather than Saint Tropez as we got more for our Euro and it was a bit more peaceful.
Review 89:The economy rooms at the back of the hotel were tiny. The smallest hotel bedroom I ever stayed in.Also access to these rooms were up and down external staircases.Very awkward if you are elderly or suffer with hips and lugging suitcases as well.
Review 90:The hotel was set in nice garden surroundings.By car it was very convenient to Saint Maxine town centre.Otherwise it was a 20 minute walk.
Review 91:Fitness was almost all not working Breakfast is verry poor for this hotel ( weakest point ) Eggs were no good prepared Chees in plastic! Put in nice on a cooled plate! Breakfast is on big tables spread open, to much open spaces. Bettre less space en better quality!
Review 92:Location Enviroment Beautifull hotel
Review 93:If one did not have a car, it's quite far from the port/main part of the town. Therefore I am grateful we had a car and also impressed with free parking lots within the town
Review 94:Lots of available parking. Easy to find on the sat Nav. Good base for visiting port grimaud and st tropez.
Review 95:Despite booking 11 months in advance and requesting superior rooms poolside not on ground floor we were given ground floor rooms with a view of a bush and no balcony. Very disappointed though the manager did offer us free breakfast instead.
Review 96:Good location
Review 97:Whilst it didn't affect us at all as we enjoy a walk, for anybody who didn't want to use their car to get into the main area of St Maxime, it is about a 15-20 min walk away so just keep this in mind. However, the walk is straight along the beach road and is beautiful, so you don't notice the time and it is very enjoyable. Also, a small fridge would be very beneficial, particularly in the summer months for keeping drinks cold.
Review 98:Really super hotel and can't fault it any way whatsoever. The staff were an absolute delight - every one of them were so accommodating and friendly. The hotel is beautifully furnished and laid out, with plenty of room for everyone. Our room was lovely with a very modern, clean bathroom. The pool area was a delight and we are hoping to go back again in a few months' time. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
Review 99:The surrounding nature of the hotel and the pool area is just beautiful and typical Côte d'Azur style. The hotel is close to the city center and the beach. Very quite location uphill.
Booking for this hotel offers rooms that do not meet the criteria declared (rooms facing the pool - not a pool view. Terrace, swimming pool or in many variants - recommend ubatovanie consult in advance with reception). WiFi - does not work everywhere, the connection is unstable, often falls. Room cleaning takes too long to clean up after lunch. Do not respect privacy and knocking on doors even if notice - do not disturb.
Review 101:Veľmi pekné prostredie a okolie, botanická záhrada. Pekná izba a dobréubytovanie. Vynikajúci čistý vonkajší bazén s teplou vodou, výbornýrelax pri bazéne. Blízko k pláži pri mori.Very nice environment and surroundings, Botanical Gardens. Nice room and good accommodation. Excellent clean outdoor pool with hot water, excellent relax poolside. Close to the beach by the sea.
Review 102:No fridge,WiFi is a challenge.
Review 103:Nice rooms, large and comfortable. Staff was ok.Free car park is a bonus.Nice big pool.Location is fine, St.Tropez is only 15 minutes by car.
Review 104:Fitness room poor, not fridge in the room. The room too small, no balcony. Internet access with poor speed or not reliable. Our impression was for a bigger room...
Review 105:Swimming pools. Quick access to downtown. Tranquilly, verdure, perfect for family with children.
Review 106:Food in the restaurant for dinner was terrible. Pasta on first evening was just about acceptable. The risotto on the following evening was returned as inedible. We were charged until I complained and it was then removed from the bill. Such poor food is spoiling what was otherwise a very nice place to stay.
Review 107:Pool area very good. Bedroom and bathroom spacious with terrace overlooking pool and with a sea view.
Review 108:No food/lunches during afternoon during our stay in June - may change in July
Review 109:Excellent Sea Views (especially rooms 253-255), clean hotel ,good pool
Review 110:We witnessed staff working very long hours, whilst Management didn't seem to care. We felt uncomfortable being aware of this.
Review 111:The staff were very friendly and kind; although let down by their unsupportive Management.
Review 112:no wi-fi in rooms, but on the territory of the hotel is ok, should pay for beach towels/ вай-фай в номерах не работает, но на территории отеля с этим проблем нет. за пляжные полотенца нужно платить.
Review 113:excellent hotel!!! very high level and with a very good swimming pool!!!! recommend 100%!!! отличный отель! просто восторг! всё новое, чистое, огромная зеленая территория, бассейн, очень близко к морю! советую!!!
Review 114:speed of the free internet service; fast requires extra fee.
Review 115:excellent location, large and comfortable rooms, friendly stuff, car parking for free, nature, close enough to beaches and attractions
Review 116:The food we had for dinner was amazing. Honestly one of the best meals we have had, and we have been fortunate enough to have had some great food to this point. The swimming pools were clean and a welcome refuge from the heat. Wonderful setting and close enough for a mild evening stroll to Sanit-Maxime.
Review 117:The rooms do not have a fridge nor are there any ice machines. If they did the hotel would easily get to four stars.
Review 118:Very thing was very good,in good repair and clean
Review 119:Hotel is a budget hotel and the decore is very tired. The first room we were allocated was dreadful....felt like you were in a dungeon. You would want to make sure you had a room with a view.
Review 120:Great pool area and reasonable location to walk into St Maxime. Staff were helpful in moving us from a terrible room to one on the second floor with a view of the pool and ocean, Good breakfast. For the price we paid...good value for that part of the world.
Review 121:The location was good for us, because we were by car, but we saw peoplewith luggage along the way up to the hotel and I guess they were notvery happy that the hotel stands rather far from the road and the sea.
Review 122:Outdoor and heated indoor pool were nice. Free parking on the hotelterritory. The bathroom was clean, the room overall very good with asmall balcony (we had garden view).
Review 123:really need to look for something negative here but maybe the eggs and bacon need to be cooked a little bit more (too greasy) ;-)
Review 124:good setting, you are not part of a leisure production plant, though their are plenty of rooms. You feel cosy in a great setting
Review 125:Realy large room, big comfortable bed. For travellers with car, parking is availiable. Have 2 swinning pools - one covered not big, but clean, second bigger, nice. For 1 night is perfect.
Review 126:Advertised as a "three room" we thought it was going to be bigger. Family of three were cramped into a small room.
Review 127:Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good.
Review 128:It's a three stars hotel who deserve to be at least four stars forsure and the location and the gardens around it are more thanamazing, should see them with your own eyes. The final conclusion is thatthe hotel Les Jardin de Sainte - Maxime is a wonderful place for fivestars experience for you and your family.Excellent and highlyrecomended. Atanas and Petya
Review 129:Our room was very small, you couldn't open the wardrobe door fully.Alas we came out of season and the outdoor pool was closed during theduration of our stay.
Review 130:The staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and inthe height of summer season I imagine it fantastic. Food was good too.
Review 131:1. No room service - had to go downstairs to fetch tea.2. Possibly due to the time of year - week leading up to Easter - but the place was like a morgue. Did not see a single person in the restaurant during the two evenings we were there. 3. No minibar - not a big problem as we tend not to use the content but the fridge is very useful if you babies /toddlers and there is a need to store milk. 4. Doors to the room are not very thick - noise travels through them very easily. I could hear my noisy kids half way down the corridor. Also makes me wonder whether the doors are fire proof or not. 5. No porter service to help us with our luggage but in mitigation they did provide a trolley to use for our luggage. 6. Hotel location is good as the hotel is located on the St Tropez side of Sainte Maxime but traffic is slow in and out of Sainte Maxime due to bottle necks but in addition there are currently road works down the main road. Can't imagine how bad it will get if the roadworks continue into the summer.
Review 132:Staff were helpful. Spoke english Liked the environmentally friendlymotion sensitive corridor lights. But can make the corridors a littlebit creepy. In contrast to most hotels however the rooms themselves donot have the key card technology that activates/deactivates power ineach room.
