Review 1：Very minor comment made to staff, about draughty windows in our room, trust this will be sorted now, but really no great probs, and will still be back again.
Review 2：Friendly staff, so regular a visitor there now, that we're getting to be on first name terms, always friendly, nice bar/restaurant. well done.

Review 16：Self serve counter at breakfast was poor; no bowls, plates, butter, yoghurt, pastries or tea bags! And no offer of discount! Go to Costa- We did on day 2.

Review 54：Fire alarm going off at 6.15am Saturday morning and not turned off for 25minutes.It went off due to a toaster in the kitchen and no one new the code to turn it off! We did not get to bed until 2am so a 'Good night sleep' did not happen. A leaking gutter outside our window did not help either.

Consequently all the self service food was empty no cups for coffee the tables were all full of dirty dishes etc. Only one girl was trying to do everything ie take orders clear tables and replenish food she was rushed off her feet !! Apparently another member of staff had called in sick but surely management should have stepped in and helped her out. It spoilt the whole experience.

Although we travelled as a couple and did not eat in the hotel it was obviously a very popular eating place and also had a Wacky Warehouse for children.

When we got there they gave us a room which is far from the other and when we ask ed for the room to be changed a very unfriendly lady calling herself either a manager if s receptionist lied to us that there was no other room until we found a fault with our shower n yhd decided to offer 2othrr rooms but the showers in the other rooms wete also not good. The manager ir receptionist does not know how to liok after customers and should not be allowed to mznager a hotel. Ond have to walk to tge reception anytine you have a problem in your room since no one managers the place. Ir was a bad experience

Review 95：The duvet (single) was quite small and I had to curl up to be fully underneath, but it was very warm under it. The iron wouldn't work and looked as if it had seen better days. The shower screen leaked and obviously had for some time, though the bathroom was immaculately clean. A light bulb had blown but was fixed soon after I mentioned it to the lovely reception staff.
Review 96：The staff were friendly, courteous and caring. We were attending a funeral and all the staff were very sweet to us. The room was spacious, warm and comfortable. I would have taken the bed home with me if I could, it was so cosy. Good bathroom with excellent shower. A convenient restaurant attached. Excellent breakfast with cheery banter with the waiter.

Review 102：It is in need of refurbishment. Two years ago we stayed there and the breakfast room had a leak in the ceiling and a damp area around where the leak was, this was still there on our last visit. Also the bathroom's need some refurb.

Review 106：The service in the attached Fayre and Square restaurant was poor. The meal and drinks we had on Saturday 6th September were being charged to the room. When we came to checking the bill we found that we had been overcharged for 1 pint of John Smiths and 1 sweet - a total of £6.68. This was brought to the notice of Ashleigh who said she was the manager - there was no apology given, only a mistake, her attitude appeared to be that we were an inconvenience. In fact there were 2 mistakes and she could not explain how these were being charged to our room, as we presented a type written confirmation of our room number when we ordered food and drinks. This confirmation was given to us by the receptionist when we checked into the hotel, and we were told to use this in the restaurant. Ashleigh also told us there was NO E Mail address for any complaint. To us it would appear that it is either company policy to try and overcharge residents of the hotel or it is encouraged at this particular establishment. We would recommend the hotel to other people but tell them to be wary of having a meal in the restaurant. We hope someone will have the common courtesy to reply to this and give some explanation - if not all my above ratings should be changed to poor.

Review 109：A double room is two single beds pushed together. Overlaid and had someone banging on the door at 11:15am telling us to get out. We passed around 4 doors that led to the car park but everyone said they were alarmed so we had to walk all the way to the reception at the other end of the hotel.

Review 117：we booked 2 twin rooms well in advance of visit but on arrival we had been given 1 twin room and a double, as l was sharing with my son) of 23 years age) it was not appropriate to have the double we were given so had to swap with my wife who then had to share the double with our daughter (21 years of age). We queried why we did not have the 2 twin rooms we booked and were told it was not her fault and that rooms get changed all the time, not really a satisfactory answer and that nothing could be done. in our instance it was not a big issue but sometimes it is not appropriate to change a twin room for a double. apart from this it was a pleasant place to stay.

Review 122：When we came to checked in the bill was wrong. The room rates were charged at £70pn instead of £54 for 1night,and £61 for the other night. Staff told us to sort it on check out. On check out staff helped and resolved but took a long time and we needed to set off on a 4hr journey home.
