Reviews for Best Western Auray le Loch

Review 1:Bedrooms were small and lacked storage space. Restaurant good but just slightly overpriced.

Review 2:Quiet setting but within walking distance of town centre and delightful port. Bright modern decor. Immaculately friendly and helpful staff.Excellent car parking.

Review 3:nowhere to put clothes - no drawers at all in our room, and only 1 high shelf.

Review 4:modern hotel, very clean, beautiful tiled shower room, and great location

Review 5:The bedrooms were not soundproofed so there was a lot of noise during the night from people going to their bathrooms and people snoring in rooms nearby. Not what you want from a hotel! No air conditioning in the bedrooms so found it quite hot at night. With the windows open you could hear noise from the nearby main road.

Review 6:Very friendly and attentive staff throughout the whole hotel. Excellent buffet breakfast and plenty of choice. Restaurant dinner OK. We had a gourmet two night stay where one dinner was included in the price but there was no choice, just a set menu. Supplement payable if you wanted anything different. Also included was a boat trip and tickets with the "little train" which we thoroughly enjoyed. Auray is a beautiful old town and lots of interesting little streets to explore. Sensible walking shoes are a must as there are lots of cobbles.

Review 7:Very hot weather meant we were suffering without air conditioning in our room at night.

Review 8:Quiet location, good sized room with nice bathroom and breakfast with good choice

Review 9:No bad experience at all

Review 10:The stay was more than comfortable and the staff couldn't be more helpful and accommodating. I would recommend staying here. Also within easy reach of various locations in the area

Review 11:the room we had did not really have room to store 2 large suitcases and with a haversack as well did make the room a little cluttered

Review 12:nice quite location clean comfortable room, found the staff very friendly and helpfull

Review 13:a room for 3 only stocked for 1 had to keep on asking for coffee and milk every day. and only towels for 2.

Review 14:good location clean and Quiet, nice staff.

Review 15:Just confusion on menu choices translation recommended , not enough English channels on tv

Review 16:Service was good staff nice friendly I liked the area pleasant town , I imagined to be closer to the shown image on web page meals good an English translated menu would be helpful

Review 17:We had a short stay of three nights & had read on a previous review that the restaurant meals were very good so we decided to eat at the hotel on the first night with a view to eating in Auray on subsequent nights however the quality of the food was so good we ate in every night. We liked the location of the hotel and its close proximity to the town- about a ten minute walk away which meant we didn't have to drive. We would certainly stay here again if we are in the region.

Review 18:We chose the "en cas" menu for our evening snack but the choice was limited due to unavailability of our first preferences. However the service and ambiance made up for any deficit in the meal.

Review 19:Everything! The tranquility, the views, the comfort, the warm welcome, the breakfast, the style, everything!

Review 20:Restaurant quite expensive and lacked atmosphere compared to those in the old town/ port

Review 21:Great value for money hotel. Short walk to old town, may not suit elderly or disabled guests due to distance to town. Room very comfortable and quiet.

Review 22:Nothing really to dislike. Language was a bit of a problem but that was my fault for not learning French.

Review 23:Friendly staff. Quiet hotel and comfortable rooms. Plenty of free parking. Free wi-fi. Good food. Very clean. Secure room for my bike.

Review 24:The hotel is inconveniently situated both as regards the station and the town centre, although this also means its surroundings are peaceful. However, the walls are thin, and my sleep was disturbed all night by noises.

Review 25:Comfortable hotel, friendly staff, breakfast supplies muesli as well as the usual cornflakes.

Review 26:A good half hour's walk from railway station and no sign of buses, though there were bus stops en route. Slightly closer to the old and new towns which compensated when you got there.

Review 27:Beautiful grounds, comfortable room, excellent breakfast, very helpful staff who were more than happy to speak English. Set in woodland with private houses all around.

Review 28:It might have been nice if the bar had stayed open a bit later....

Review 29:Auray is a delightful Breton town and this hotel is fantastically placed to enjoy it. The hotel is smart and comfortable - and incredibly good value!

Review 30:All the staff were very polite and helpful, the hotel is in a good location and is very quiet, good for exploring the surrounding area.auray, Vannes, Carnac. The restaurant was very good.

Review 31:You need the car to go anywhere. The bed linen: too rough, especially the pillowcase! I had to lay one of my t- shirts on the pillow!

Review 36:chose hotel for proximity to carnac(family were staying there) and it had a big car park! Room was spacious and we had 2 meals in the restaurant-both of which were very good and reasonably priced. Breakfast also very good.We were able to walk into Auray from the hotel easily. Review 39:We have just returned from a four day break. Loved the Auray area which was easy to walk to and also the pretty port. Lovely river walk from the hotel. Central location for visiting surrounding towns and beaches, will hopefully return soon.

Review 40:Restaurant seemed a little too small to cope with breakfast sittings - don't go down too late or you might have to wait for a table.

Review 41:Convenient location, walking distance from centre of Auray and the port. Room was a good size and very clean and comfortable. Good to have a kettle for making tea/coffee in the room (unusual for France). Room had a window that could be opened.

Review 42:The only slight grumble is that we had to get a Wi-Fi code for each day that we were there.

Review 43:No complaints about the service or comfort of the hotel. Room was very nice and quiet. Would recommend to anyone looking for a hotel in the Auray area.

Review 44:Good location for touring Brittany region. Comfort and clean room. Good breakfast.

Review 47:Great place for a one night stop offl Good location, very pleasant and helpful staff, comfortable rooms and a great breakfast.

Review 48:Room was quite small and shower is slippery.

Review 75:Expresso from Bar at 6 pm was the best ever I've had anytime in France. The next morning it was the usual bad tasting French coffee ???

Review 76:Restaurant not open on Sunday or Monday and a 20 min walk to nearest alternative.

Review 87:Can't walk to centre of town as it's on an estate, fine if you have car. Lights seemed to flicker in evening but wasn't too much of an issue

Review 88:Quiet location, lots of car parking spaces,

Review 89:Loved the town and harbour which was only a 10min walk away. We booked the hotel on a deal and paid almost half price which made it very attractive. Free parking and a helpful Receptionist were great

Review 90:We thought the hotel rooms had been modernised and refurbished to a very high standard, and this is an excellent tranquil location in easy walking distance of Auray port. The dining room is very light and pleasant and the breakfast was good value.
