Reviews for Résidence Les Balcons de La Rosière
Review 1:We were really looking to using the jacuzzi after a long day skiing but it was only open from 4pm for a couple of hours - we got there at 4.05 and it was already full. Not surprising considering the size of it and fact it was serving 8 blocks of apartments!
Review 2:Great location - spacious and comfortable apartment.
Review 3:You have to clean your room or you will be charged a cleaning fee. We did not expect this, but they provided major cleaning tools you only need materials. The hall ways are dirty and dark. Parking is very very tight. Window was broken in the room. Patio is not private. Also front desk is only serviced certain times of the day. Finally, wifi is only in the front lobby.
Review 4:Nice large room with full Kitchen. Very nice view.
Review 5:hidden payments for final cleaning . If you want to check out you have to book an appointment or automatically they will assume your extensions and cut money from authorization, Internet available only in the reception hall , Check out time is too early ( 9-10) Reception close 6 evening , late arraivals will be homeless, The location is too far from the town on the top of amounts feel dizzy to reach the place through zigzag narrow road, The beds not clean , no washing machine, no toilet in the ground floor,
Review 6:It was big enough for 7 people family, Woody style
Review 7:Pets! Sorry but I'm not a pet lover. I don't want an apartment with heavily scratched wood work, nor do I want to share the small unfurnished balcony space with next door's dog who was eating out of the apartment oven dishes and licking clean the chopping board… Tired decor, hard beds, disgustingly old lumpy pillows and no wifi in apartments. I think 'Les Balcons' has had it's day and perhaps you get what you pay for, but I'm going to pay a bit more and go elsewhere next time.
Review 8:Wonderful view; excellently equipped kitchen with good quality appliances; nice spa; Rosiere itself was great.
Review 9:Generally everything is not so nice as on the presentation The apartment was not very clean when we arrived. Stove and exhaust panel very disgusting. The kitchen has too simple equipment for cooking . Wifi was only available from reception 8 hours a day. Otherwise outside, or in a simple staircase with no table. No shower curtains in the bathrooms. The beds are not prepared when you arrive, instead you get bags of linen at the reception to arrange the bedding by yourself. There are many different appartments. So you can not be sure of getting the specific apartment on the presentation pictures. Staff not particulary helpful if there will be a problem. We had a kind of experience that Les Balcons was our counterpart, rather than service provider. Only a small tourist town, otherwise 23 km down to the nearest town.
Review 10:The magnificent view from our balcony
Review 11:The apartment was not very clean when we arrived; there is no WIFI; the beds are not prepared when you arrive, instead you get the linen at the reception and had to arrange the bedding by yourself; the apartment was very noisy and you can hear all the movements of your neighbors; the bed comfort is very poor.
Review 12:The proximity to the ski school and ski departure; the magnificent view from our balcony
Review 13:Flies!!! Not much open in Les Eucherts (Le Flocon - restaurant, Patisserie, Ice skating, Bowling (expensive). Wi-fi only in reception (quite a hike from the outer blocks) Eucherts lift not open in summer. Spa facilities are 16+ only!
Review 14:Access to Apartment, Free Parking, lovely staff, Space in apartment
Review 15:we were booked in Residence Les Balcons over a weekend. because we travelled with public transport we only discovered that it is virtually impossible to get there without taking a taxi which we couldn't afford. We tried to contact Residence Les Balcons numerous times but they just did't answer their telephones or respond to our emails. The staff at Chamonix station also tried to contact them without success. We paid the whole amount upfront and were very upset about the situation.
Review 16:No shower connection and curtains. As a result everything was wet and showering was unconfortable. Bad internetconnection and no chairs on the balcony.
Review 17:Location was great, view splendid. Good utilized kitchen and nice village
Review 18:As a summer stay it was very isolated, a very long uphill drive from the nearest town and other attractions in the area. Unfortunately we had bad weather throughout our stay which meant we were in the clouds most of the time.
Review 19:For a French ski apartment it was a good size and the equipment was good. But then there were only 2 of us in an apartment for 5.
Review 20:Nothing bad to say.
Review 21:Fantastic accommodation for a group of 11 friends. Many bedrooms, kitchen with good facilities and a huge dining table.
Review 22:station peu animee l'ete
Review 23:grand appartement avec 5 chambres equipees chacunes de sdb et wc tres appreciables
Review 24:Simple comfortable, well located family accommodation. Close to ski lift, ski school, restaurants, other amenities. Great family resort.
Review 25:a little too hot at night (we needed balcony doors open) only access to wifi from reception in another building
Review 26:location, clean and comfy
Review 27:Pillows are rubbish! Thin and lumpy....
Review 28:Great sppartment. Badic but comfortable.
Review 29:Not a double bed - 2 singles pushed together. Only wifi in other buildings.
Review 30:Good kitchen and lounge. Great location.
Review 31:Wifi only in public areas
Review 32:Location, friendly staff, self-catering facilities quality, perfect view from appartment
Review 33:Only two things really uncomfortable mattresses, no shower curtain Bathroom ...
Review 34:Location, kitchen, balcony, view, parking, all excellent.
Review 35:Lumpy pillows. Bit hard to find when arriving late evening after lights in reception switched off.
Review 36:Ski to the door. Choice of self-catering or half board arrangement with local restaurant. Free sauna & jacuzzi. Able to hold booking until final numbers confirmed (group of 10 friends).
Review 37:You couldn't get into your accommodation until 5pm. There were not enough pillows for 4 people and there were only 2 duvets. We would if liked the communial/reception area stay open later at night for wifi ect and also extend the times that the sauna ect is open for.
Review 38:It was great location ski in ski out. The accommodation was comfortable and quite. Everything you need is on your door stop. The accommodation was a good size for a family of 4.
Review 39:Not very cheap, but if you want some quality in France, you have to pay for it.
Review 40:Nice spacious accommodations compared to other French appartments- Well equipped - Very close to the skilifts
Review 41:Approach. From Chamonix 60 KM with 10 KM in tunnel for a outrageous toll of 41 Euros for single trip. Other option is 4 hour round trip instead of one hour trip Lot of construction works in the road so dangerous mountain driving. Worst driving experience with only cones to protect you falling from the cliff.
Review 42:friendly staff, location, scenary
Review 43:It rained few days while we were there. We enjoyed the rain but it disrupted WiFi in reception. I wish they had better accessibility to WiFi.
Review 44:Staff was very helpful and tried to answer as many questions we had. We enjoyed surrounding area is it's full of nature and lot of hiking trails for summer.
Review 45:The towels and sheets were not ready in the room but needed to be picked up at the reception. The final cleaning was not included in the price and was rather costly (60 euros for a 2-bedroom apartment).
Review 46:Very nice views Spacious apartments
Review 47:Located on 1850 meters nice appartments with direct access to alltouristic paths, grocery shop, restaurant, bar are at 30 meters (vertical). A bit deserted in summer - what is good ;-) Calm and peacefulplace to enjoy Alps in summer - with two chairlifts operating, interesting place for mtb lovers, especially descent from Petit SaintBernard. Another mountain stations are on the other side of the valley,Les Arcs, Peysey Vallandry, La Plagne with more chairlifts , mtb parksand activities. No swimming pool open during summer ;-(
Review 48:It's not newly built and maybe is a little worn. Not much to botherabout though. Out of season there are many activities closed.
Review 49:On a three week holiday this hotel offered the most for the money, probably as it was out of season. Big rooms. Good standard. Nicepanoramic view from our apartment.
Review 50:Very good service, excellent room space and facilities. Great locationwith ski back to door. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Parking was anexcellent facility.
Review 51:The addition of a few "extras" would have made the stay better. There was no DVD or CD player, no kettle or toaster (although we did see someone at the end of the week getting a toaster from reception!). Free wi-fi was only available in the main reception block and then only when reception was open, which was a pity. No English channels on the TV either so not a lot to do in the evenings other than play cards or drink! The process of going through the huge apartment inventory the day we arrived was also time consuming, although it did prove useful in highlighting any missing kitchen items at the start of the week and reception sent these out the next day. Also you had to purchase a cleaning kit for 6euros (although we had gone prepared with most things) and leave the apartment virtually spotless when leaving or else you would be charged extra for cleaning. Also car parking other than underground (at big cost!) quite a walk away.
Review 52:The apartment (block 4) was closest to the ski slopes and lifts and due to excellent snow conditions we could ski right back to the front door! Close to the reception and shops/restaurants. Very spacious downstairs and there was a lot of storage space in both bedrooms (unusual for a ski apartment!). The apartment was always warm, sometimes too warm, despite temperatures of up to minus 20 degrees!! Large ski locker downstairs was very convenient too. Underground car park handy, although expensive.
Review 53:Carpet and sofas' fabrics with dust

Review 61:The hotal lacks Wifi in the rooms
Review 62:The location of the hotel is great and there is easy access to walking in the mountains.
