Reviews for Tickton Grange Hotel

Review 1:It is extremely over priced 263 for two nights !we were told we couldn't bring food into the room but they had stopped servicing in the restaurant ! When I checked out I was asked to pay as I left and I had the night before maybe the should check Ist! The breakfast staff however were wonderful lovely lady

Review 2:It's a lovely location and nice room

Review 3:Excellent comfortable rooms with luxurious bath products & added touches (wool throws & cushions, coffee machine & truffles on bed!) Very comfortable bed & quiet surroundings. Excellent full English breakfast & perfect portion size. Attentive & friendly staff throughout hotel. Enjoyed relaxing in the library with wine & live music.

Review 4:Breakfast disappointing- I had room service which was prompt but food portions disappointing.

Review 5:Lovely small boutique hotel - very comfortable for a solo traveller . Staff welcoming and extremely helpful. Singles always pay more sadly but this was perfect .

Review 6:the bed was a bit hard, the bar sandwiches at 9pm were not great

Review 7:Beautifully decorated for Christmas, very helpful staff, very good cooked breakfast, lovely building, room and grounds, plenty of parking

Review 8:The night finished too early, but still great!

Review 9:Went to the Christmas party Friday 18th December as part of a group and had a great night. Food and entertainment was fab. The room we stayed in over night was beautiful too!

Review 10:Cooked Yorkshire breakfast was a little on the small side with1 egg, 1 rasher, 1 sausage, 1 mushroom,1 fried bread & a couple of small tomatoes.

Review 11:Cosy bar with a roaring fire Ample parking Warm rooms throughout

Review 12:Not enough bar staff for such a large wedding

Review 13:The room and decor was lobely. Here for a wedding reception and had a brilliant time. Lovely venue, friendly staff and nice breakfast. 5 minute drive into Beverly as well , with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. Lovely weekend thank you.

Review 14:The management and staff in the hotel were absolutely superb and very helpfull offering every assistance. The restaurant was also top quality and provided excellent food and service

Review 15:The service for food was slow, we went down to eat at 7 and had our started served at 8.30. There was one thing I wanted to check about my vegetarian main course, but no-one around to do so, so left it. The bar in the library wasn't staffed very well, often had to go and find someone.

Review 16:Staff at reception were brilliant. Library was a lovely room. Food was very good.

Review 17:Arrived late due to traffic problems, having first phoned ahead. Receptionist had reserved a table for me and advised me that the staff would stay on if required to ensure I could have dinner after a miserable 6 hour drive. Excellent customer service; all members of staff were very friendly. Absolute pleasure to stay here and look forward to staying here again!

Review 18:The staff could not have been more helpful. The meals at night were great first two nights because we ate during the day the bar sandwiches were v good third night main meal as good as I have had for a while and v reasonably priced

Review 19:Some aircon might be nice, in the summer our rooms get hot on a nice even with the window open.

Review 20:The rooms were very nice and the hotel is set with a nice large garden in a small village. We had the delux double. The bar is lovely as well.

Review 21:public areas look a little tired; the decor in The Hide restaurant is 90's modern...in a 1930's building

Review 22:The setting, friendly staff and extra touches like small pieces of cake and chocolates on the bed beautifully wrapped

Review 23:two minor things - I asked to have salad instead of potato and this was not carried out. also I ordered one glass wine and a water and I think I was charged for two glasses wine?

Review 24:everything

Review 25:We stayed in the "Card room" and the mattress and pillows were not the most comfortable I have come across but I suppose everybody has their own preference.

Review 26:This hotel is a stunning oasis on the outskirts of the equally stunning town of Beverley! A must visit

Review 27:Wardrobe was in front of the radiator which made the room a touch cold

Review 28:Scrambled eggs were the best I have eaten Room was clean and quiet Staff friendly and helpful Shower was fab

Review 29:Felt like you was imposing and not catered for if you wanted to relax in the bar before your evening event!

Review 30:Great setting and atmospheric of country estate!...friendly staff and good facilities overall.

Review 31:Hotel restaurant prices. I thought they were far too high and unlikely to keep visitors in the hotel when there was a very good pub just a few strides away.

Review 32:Beautiful room. Very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast and choice of teas in the room

Review 33:I was disappointed that having paid for an upgraded room there was no bath in the bathroom, however this was my assumption, had I of requested a bath I would have got one. Needless to say we were moved to another room with no fuss. Another point, although not quite sure how this could be handled - the fire in the library room was billowing smoke on more than 2 occasions on Saturday meaning all of the clothes that we wore smelt of smoke. Like I say not sure of the remedy!

Review 34:Tickton Grange is a beautiful hotel, the staff are incredibly attentive and willing to help. Afternoon tea was delightful, as was our meal in the hide restaurant in the evening. Breakfast is excellent with lots of variety and choice.

Review 35:The room was a little bit cold but we were provided with an additional heater.

Review 36:The rooms - we had a huge bathroom & a lounge with great views of the countryside. The room had been newly decorated & everything was spotlessly clean.

Review 37:Only that the resturant was fully booked and we couldn't get dinner, but then it was valentines night. I'd have liked to think that residents got priority.

Review 38:It was a lovely hotel in a quiet peaceful setting. The open fires and comfortable lounge on a cold Feburary day was relaxing. The staff are friendly and attentive.

Review 39:That i couldn't book Saturday night online even though you had rooms because it was valentines night and you didn't have tables in the restaurant.

Review 40:Great staff, professional and going beyond their duties on personal matter

Review 41:Menue was rather poor, no soup for starters, fish & chips were missing and all rather expensive. Not like the last time I stayed there.

Review 42:Room was excellent, room number 9 tio top!

Review 43:Very cold in the Breakfast Room, could have done with the radiators up a notch in winter

Review 44:The Hotel has a wonderful homely feel to it,extremely comfortable and very welcoming. We didn't eat here in the evening as we were visiting in the area but the emphasis is on using local produce and if the breakfast was anything to go by I am sure food would be excellent.

Review 45:Central heating system was noisy. Someone had been smoking in my daughter's bathroom prior to her occupancy

Review 46:Good breakfast. Friendly service from all the staff.room was comfortable

Review 47:Some of the service levels of the staff were indifferent. For example the Library/bar area not always manned-we were told to knock on the kitchen door if we wanted anything, tables for breakfast not set up ready and on leaving two members of Staff did not look up from their computers to say thank you or goodbye. I think this final lack of interest summed up the experience.

Review 48:Comfortable room-bed in particular. Clean shower room. High speed wifi Small touches of water, coffee machine, chocolate. Some younger staff excellent and welcoming

Review 49:The colour scheme of the restaurant (didn't like the red/orange) and much preferred the green and cream breakfast room. The breakfast bacon had, we think, been kept hot for a while and was rather hard and brittle.

Review 50:The comfort of the room - absolutely beautiful. The bed was lovely and the pillows very comfortable. The tea and coffee making facilities were great. The bathroom was stunning. The young lady on reception desk was delightful.

Review 51:Glad we stayed on Friday and not Saturday when there was a wedding on - wedding parties inevitably impact private guests. WiFi signal was very weak despite there being a hub right outside our room.

Review 52:Attention to detail, Excellent staff, Restaurant very good, Comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.

Review 53:Nothing at all!

Review 54:We loved everything about Tickton Grange. The staff always ready to help. Our room was a delight and we were very comfortable. Breakfast was perfect as was our evening dinner. We will certainly be visiting again.
