Reviews for Amarante Golf Plaza
Review 1:no wi-fi at all !!! To far from any place. If you are without car forget to stay hare.
Review 2:Good room, nice panorama view, friendly staff, regular cleaning in the room
Review 3:Pool regulations not respected and not enhanced; probably not enough staff for such a huge domain; hotel needs urgent refreshment and not patchwork-type repairs; hammam out of order; no frige/mini bar in the rooms unless ordered, I hope that this may help;
Review 4:Welcoming, helpful and smiling staff; the pools; amazing view; relaxing atmosphere!
Review 5:Pricing of rooms is clearly far too high versus the state of theirrooms. Room 105 is just a rip off. 200€ !!! even Ibis hotel are cleanerand far more comfortable. Old shower, floor was very dirty, armchairsdated the ancient ages !
Review 6:- Not such a good location if you're thinking in going to Sait Tropez, but a good option if you're ok on driving a bit
Review 7:Was in a road trip through the south of France. We've booked the night before and had a little trouble finding a good hotel near by Saint Tropez (of course). The Amarante Golf Plaza is about 20km of Saint Tropez city center which is a 40min car ride. We were lucky enough that the hotel was in overbooking and they upgraded us to.. the Presidential Suite. Of course this made our stay not a regular one.. :) Nevertheless the staff was more than friendly, they showed the hotel around and had great suggestions for dinner in Saint Tropez!
Review 8:If you like to live with ants in the room, you are welcome to this hotel, the personnel is very slow, WiFi doesn't work, the furniture is very old, no mini bar
Review 9:WIFI signal is extremely weak! Not all stuff speak English. The receptionist reassured us that the breakfast is for free when we asked for it's price (it was not included in our booking). As we believed so, we chose to take breakfasts in a hotel. At check-out we realised that we were charged for the them and hotel offered only 50% reimbursement...
Review 10:The rooms and hallways needed to be maintained and refurbished in a few areas. The breakfast could be improved slightly. You have to pay extra for eggs done any other way than boiled or scrambled.
Review 11:We loved the view from our large balcony, which had a sofa, lounger two chairs and a table. The breakfast room also has a fantastic view of the golf course and the bay of St.Tropez. The staff were very friendly and accommodating when we wanted to change rooms and stay longer. It's a very relaxed Hotel. The pool and spa area were very nice. The pool staff gave excellent service.
Review 12:There was no cold water & no mini bar in the room. The shuttle bus was very poor as wasnt regular, it stopped early & had no aircon. The rooms could do with better hair dryers & tea & coffee making facilities.
Review 13:The pool was grest the view wonderful & the staff very helpful.
Review 14:There were sections of the room that clearly need repair and attention. The bathroom in particulate. The furniture and carpet could be updated too.
Review 15:The view was stunning and our room expansive. St Maxime beautiful. Ferry to St Tropez easy...don't drive! St Tropez simply gorgeous.
Review 16:-all the facilities are old (the gym or spa are just awful) -poor breakfast with 10 minutes waiting before having a table -need to take 2 lifts to reach your room -the hotel is very old (need to get paint, clean, ...) -> not a 4 stars hotel ! or way too expensive for what you get.
Review 17:great location on the top of the hill, nice view
Review 18:Could not get ice bucket to our room for champagne cooling, except for that room service worked well including breakfast in the room, wifi did not work very well
Review 19:Excellent service at the restaurant, very quick reaction to change broken TV in our room, very friendly reception, very good parking facilities, terrace with panomaric view
Review 20:I strongly recommend you not to book here. Location is a nightmare, 15minutes up the hill from downtown on horrible and dangerous roads up themountain. Secondly, is very dirty, they clean the rooms withoutdetergent, we saw it in 2 occasions. Finally, they are a scam, theytried to charge us for extra things we didn´t use, at the end of thestay we got a surprise bill of 295 euro, and after arguing with allmembers of stuff that we didn´t have breakfast any of the days, the billcame down to 55 euro!!!! They are professional cheaters, including you a30 euro per day extra charge, they charge for having a minibar in yourroom and extra hidden charges everywhere!
Review 21:There was no Restaurant open in the Hotel for evening Dinner during our week's stay - only the St.Andrew's Restaurant down at the Golf Club - quite a climb!
Review 22:The location is superb - well worth the 2 mile drive out of town, climbing steeply up into the hillside. All the Staff were most charming and helpful. The Hotel's regular Shuttle mini-bus into St. Maxime was a real boon.
Review 23:Cleanliness, carpet very old, worned out and stained, toilettes in room and pool area stained with lack of regular cleaning, hair on touket seat, bathroom doir didn't close properly, etc much to improve regarding housekeeping and maintenance).
Review 24:Stunning view, professional and nice reception staff, although they changed from english to french regularly in each sentence, pool and spa areas, AC, spacious balcony.
Review 25:1. The sixth floor lobby is a disaster. It has a terrible smell, stained carpets, old coaches and bad decoration. 2. The hotel is over-price considering its remote location and outdated condition.
Review 26:1. The views are very nice. 2. The staff was very cordial and service was very good. 3. Breakfast buffet was very good.
Review 27:Room was very dated and in need of redecoration. No coffee or tea facilities in room.
Review 28:The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming
Review 29:Unfortunately the steam room was broken
Review 30:Beautiful setting and friendly staff
Review 31:The location, no fregetar was in room no boiler
Review 32:Staff were nice and friendly
Review 33:Long walk distance between Room-restaurant-garage etc
Review 34:Great views
Review 35:The rooms were basic and the balcony was bigger than the room itself!
Review 36:The pool staff and area was nice
Review 37:Great location great views , really great pool.lovely well priced restaurant. Spacious rooms with large terrace
Review 38:nothing
Review 39:panoramic view from the room, outdoor swimming pool
Review 40:The wifi didn't work , for 4 star hotel I will expect at lest a mini bar in the room
Review 41:The WiFi doesn't work at all Can't get the room until 3pm
Review 42:Nothing
Review 43:This is a really excellent hotel in a fabulous location. Staff were very friendly and polite, we had a great holiday.
Review 44:Very good
Review 45:You just get four walls for your money. Everything has an extra charge. Evan if you want a fridge in your room.
Review 46:The view and the breakfast
Review 47:WiFi poor
Review 48:Wifi connection not working in the rooms and most common areas of the hotel. Plastics Sunbeds at the pool have no mastress!
Review 49:a small fridge for 10 EUR per day is a shame! All around the world it is for free. I had lots of inconvenience, storing baby's food in a hotel's kitchen fridge. Had to go there several times a day.
Review 50:Hotel needs a major refurbishment. Very outdated. Our suite needed a new carpet as it was badly stained. Shower cubicle leaked water everywhere. Mini fridge only had one castor so didn't sit straight. It's a pity because it's not cheap to stay here and it could have so much potential! Definitely not 4 star in my opinion.
Review 51:Fantastic views from reception and bedrooms. We were upgraded to a "suite" for our anniversary. Staff helpful.
Review 52:-Old room -Two buildings, we needed to take two elevators to reach our room. -People at the breakfast were overhelmed, we asked three times before getting cuttlery, moreover, breakfast is quite expensive (20€) -Internet for free only on the lobby and it was not working
Review 53:-We got an upgrade to a superior room at our arrival -Nice staff
Review 54:Free wi if in lobby useless Bit of a trek up to the hotel Staff didn't really speak English Staff on desk not that helpful or English friendly People hogged sun beds Air conditioning not great Breakfast very expensive
Review 55:Good pool & lobby Good sized room New towels etc daily Maid not intrusive
Review 56:The service was awful, the food orrible at breakfast. Mosquitos andcoacrocahes everywhere. A disgrace. And the receptionist wereastoniahingly impolite. Never again.
Review 57:The check out. A relief.
Review 58:Nothing! This Hotel is excellent
Review 59:The beautiful panoramic view on the Golfe de Sainte Maxime and the Golfede Saint Tropez. Full sea view and Golf course is amazing. Location isvery quiet, the spa is excellent value for money. Buffet breakfastexcellent and all the staff of the Hotel (Reception, bagagists, Bar andRestaurant, Spa) has a true culture of service. Can't wait to returnto this beautiful and relaxing Hotel. Better to stay at the AmaranteGolf Plazza Ste Maxime as a home base if you decide to travel all overthe area and visit the Var because it's the best value for money inthe area in comparison to all the other 4 stars on the St Tropez sidewhich are overpriced. Thanks again for this amazing stay!
Review 60:Evrything was dirty, old. The room was diferent as the pictures on yoursite, the bath was dirty( with hairs)!! The room's doors very verynoisy!! We were really disappointed, and left after the first night!!
Review 61:The staff was nice, food good
Review 62:Very noisy neighbors at night, we did not get to sleep till 3AM When we checked out no one even asked if we had a pleasent stay. Sauna facilities are a joke. Expensive for the service an quality
Review 63:Restaurant the food was excellent. They did not have either wines we wished so they gave us a beter wine for the same price.
Review 64:The hotel is situated in a beautiful location above the town and a great view of the surroundings / sea, golf /We wanted a room for wheelchairs wheelchair, we were granted.Just a little bit of a long way to the room, but the hotel is really great so I'm not surprised.Really luxury.
Review 65:Using the wireless internet network would cost 22 euro's/day. Breakfast: 20 euro's per person per day. These are extremely high prices compared to what you actually get. There are hotels with the same quality of breakfast for a way lower price and even free WIFI. This hotel doesn't deserve 4 stars. Maybe 1. Room was found left open by the cleaning personnel once. conclusion: a lot of money for nothing special. There surely are better hotels for lower prices and more service.
Review 66:Nothing special, we saw the price at the hotel was much higher comparing to what we paid via booking.com so it's good to make reservation earlier.
Review 67:Lovely hotel, nice location in very quite area with the wonderful view (far from the beach, but this was not important for us). Hotel is really nice for relaxing and enjoying in area far from the crowd in Saint-Tropez or nearby Sainte Maxime.
Review 68:Too far from city center if you wish to walk around. If you driveno problem, it s very near. Not easy to find the hotel whenarriving at night.
Review 69:Nice hotel but not well located for those who do no want todrive...shuttle available from the Hotel but very rarely due to toolittle demand I assume.
Review 70:Staff was not concentrated to customer. Permanent calls in between during check in and check our. Very slowly check in and check out. Pool closed at 8:00 pm. Hotel is far away from city, on a mountain.
Review 71:Pool was excellent. Room was ok. Parking very secured.

Review 77:Amazing view of the saint tropez gulf!
Review 78:Was charged 40 euros for two breakfasts that I didn't have, eventhough they said I wouldn't be
Review 79:Needs investments and refreshments.
Review 80:Good food. Good chef. Breakfast.
Review 81:Very dirty, very old and needs a complete overhaul. Formule 1 hotel scores better.
Review 82:Bed, view
Review 83:Common furniture and buildings (bot the swimming-pool).
Review 84:24h/7days swimming-pool, incredible view and landscapes, quietness.
Review 85:The fact that you pay €250 for a room and still have to pay for internet is pathatic as well as €20 for a simple breakfast is too much.
Review 86:position vieu
Review 87:very nice hotel position ed perfect for relax
