Reviews for Hôtel Saint Florent

Review 1:The proprietor was very warm and friendly - it's a tough job running a hotel and he obviously gets some very unreasonable guests and appreciated we were polite, on time and didn't make any unreasonable demands like late arrival or early departure, something he makes clear on his website can't easily be accommodated.

Review 2:The staff does not speak English so it was difficult to communicate, but the staff was helpfull and nice.

Review 3:It was very close to the city center and to the Roman Theatre. Interesting decoration in the room.

Review 4:This hotel would greatly benefit from purchasing some Threshold 3" memory foam mattress toppers. The mattresses are antiquated and I had difficulty sleeping on the springs. But, I find that most beds in France are hard beds. It's likely that I'm just spoiled. No fault of the owner, the Internet connection was down during my stay.

Review 5:The proprietor was awesome. He was very nice, polite, and very welcoming. The room was spacious, very clean, and had an excellent view.

Review 6:There wasn't any parking. The wifi did not work. There seemed to be an issue with their router. The man working the front desk was extremely rude. He would lose his temper regularly. If you asked any questions you would just get an exaggerated eye roll. He also assumed I did not speak French, so he would make fun of tourists and specifically Americans to the French travellers right in front of me.

Review 7:The price was cheap and it was close to the center of town.

Review 8:Shabby 70's Decor No WiFi No local parking Unhelpful reception Shared Toilet No Air No Fan Very noisy Worst Hotel I've seen on Bookings.com website

Review 9:I walked out the room was that bad!

Review 10:very old carpets worn out

Review 11:clean good location

Review 12:Cockroach, see-through curtain to separate bedroom from bathroom, wifi only works near reception.

Review 13:Location

Review 14:friendly and quiet. an unusual hotel.

Review 15:bed sound insulation - too noisy in the room

Review 16:family hotel in the center of the city

Review 17:unfriendly host, musty smells

Review 18:location, appearance of the room

Review 19:Room was small. WiFi did not work well. The "16century" hotel was so 16century that I couldn't really tell the difference from 20th century. Parking was far away and paid but that is what comes with this great location.

Review 20:Location.

Review 21:Very small poky room. Antiquated facilities. Shared / separate toilet.

Review 22:Proximity to the Roman theatre and other archaeological sites in Orange. Very central and easy to find. Within walking distance of train station.

Review 23:The behaviour of the owner unacceptable. He has charged my card already from the afternoon although the reservation was to pay at the time of arrival. Also we arrived arround midnight and told us that we maked in time(!) and he will have had closed the hotel in 15minutes, althought we had informed him for our late arrival. Room very basic and our bed very short to fit our legs. Do not worth at all the money we spend

Review 24:It is situated in the centre of ancient town of Orange. It is a traditional building

Review 25:Air conditioning is switched off automatically at 11 pm. We complainedthe morning after, but we were leavingNo free parking, only until 9 am in the morning (2€ for 2hours) Wifi connection does not reach the 3rd floor. No lift

Review 26:Old tired lurid (pale lilac, dark lilac, mauve,red/pink, blue, yellow and white colour scheme was ott) grotty (particle board vanitytop was so down market) room. The 'new owner' needs to stopmessing about, spend some money and get professional decorators in.

Review 27:Location close to Roman Theatre

Review 28:Very small room, HVAC water connection to shower, toilet not very clean, so-so wifi. Owner not very helpful, unpleasant. Expensive for what's it.

Review 29:Location, very near the splendid Roman Theatre. This is the only plus to reccomend it.

Review 30:Great location in the heart of historic Orange, a lovely town to amble around and relax in between discovering the interesting past . Was very easy to find. Good price.

Review 31:The owner was very accomodating and helpfull. He made every effort tomake my visit to Orange, an enjoyable experience and, provided help, when I needed it.

Review 32:Parking about 400m away Quirky room - excellent double four poster bed, but bathroom door was too big and wouldn't shut!

Review 33:Very central - in a pedestrian street in the old city

Review 34:The room we stayed in is tired and needs a facelift, but that would not stop me from staying there again.

Review 35:Very helpful and friendly receptionist. Well placed and quaint hotel from which to wander about the old town of Orange.

Review 36:The shower needed mending or replacing, otherwise a very quirky hotel with a good atmosphere.

Review 37:A great welcome from the owner, a private secure garage, and a wonderful position next to the theatre.

Review 38:Very nice hotel, clean, maybe a little unusual (in a positive way), friendly staff, super location, garage 3 min walk away (easy to find). I would definetly choose this hotel again.

Review 39:Wifi was only in the ground floor, where i could sit on comfortable sofa and have tea/coffee. But i would prefer having it in my room anyway.

Review 40:The staff was very attentive and friendly. I could also place my bicycle in the hotel. Breakfast was in a form of buffet and included different breads, ham, cheeses, jams, fruits and yogurts. Location is perfect. The staff can recommend good bars and cafes. Some rooms had a romantic decoration.

Review 41:The hotel owner was a very nice man who spoke NO English. He even helped carry suitcases up to our third floor room!

Review 42:Great hand-painted decoration in our room (and, it seems, all others) Proprietaire sympa Unbeatable central location

Review 43:Nothing.

Review 44:Location was perfect. Friendliness of owner made it feel more like home than anywhere else I've stayed in France. Quiet.

Review 45:the hotel was run down.

Review 46:the location

Review 47:Suspicious hotelier kept asking us who we were and had we booked a room, even though we'd been in and out several times already!

Review 48:Central location

Review 49:- great location right in the middle of orange (especially great if going to the opera festival as the theatre is just a few steps away)
