Review 2：Beautifully decorated to the highest standard, charming owners, very friendly, efficient and involved staff, superb food in restaurant and bar, excellent location in the town, great views over lovely terrace and garden - can't wait to go back!
Review 3：Uncomfortable bed in the room and sofas in the lounge. Undrinkable coffee and slow service at breakfast. No lights around mirrors so difficult to apply make-up (I am told).

Review 5：The bar lounge is friendly! relaxed and spaciously set with sofas but may struggle to accommodate groups of 3-4+ to sit together over drinks.
Review 6：The team are very welcoming, the renovation is new and fresh and the food is of excellent quality. The vegetarian and children's options were limited which the chef corrected immediately with new dishes on the menu. The location is good with attractive bar terraces, gardens and view and the rooms are spacious with new bathrooms and comfortable furniture.

Review 8：The hotel was lovely the staff couldn't do enough for you and were friendly. All the little extras they add to make your stay that extra special are great and make it relaxing. I found all the price of food, drink and the room all reasonable and we'll worth the money.
Review 9：Ok stains all albeit small on the pillow cases and duvet, are not what I expect at these prices, if I paid £30 a night I wouldn't bat an eyelid but when I pay almost 6 times that I kinda expect as near to perfection as possible

Review 11：King size bed good. Would really really love a Super king bed as that's what we have at home. Plenty of room for one and would add to the " luxury" pricetag
Review 12：Very relaxed atmosphere. This establishment has found just the right balance in guest centred accommodation, feels like "home" with a touch of understated luxury. Staff subtly attending to guests needs without being obtrusive. Our Seaview room spotlessly clean and spacious. Unlike many hotels we could open our windows to benefit from the sea breeze

Review 18：A wonderful find. A Victorian hotel renovated tastefully keeping the original features but with modern luxurious touches. Room 5 was beautiful, clean, large, high spec and with a great view. Restaurant and bar were lovely and the breakfast was great, they even catered for my fussyness! Staff are professional and warm, nothing would be too much trouble ! We will return

Review 20：Lovely room with wonderful view and Capstone Hill. Central location; easy walking distance to everything in Ilfracombe. Excellent restaurant/chef and service.

Review 33：The hotel has only been open a few weeks, this you could tell, are room was very over priced for what you got, there was no bath in the room and the view of the flats next door was not the best. we had a drink in the bar in the evening, it took 20mins for for husband tiger served. Breakfast took 45mins to come out which was a long time for scrambled eggs. Also in the restaurant we could hear the Kitchen staff talking about there night out. I think in 6 months time they might have sorted things out! This was are wedding Anniversary, I feel like we spent a lot of money for not a great stay.
