Reviews for Citotel Celtic Hotel
Review 1:We were on the top floor, no lift. A bit like climbing Mont Blanc, especially with heavy cases. Couldn't get a drink in the bar after 9.30.
Review 2:Friendly owners and staff and locals using this hotel bar made this stay a happy one. Overall a good holiday.
Review 3:Room way too small for the king size bed. Stairs very narrow and steep with no lift option.
Review 4:Good restaurants close by and only short walk to St Goustan. Comfortable bed and great shower. Good value.
Review 5:The room was a little small but the bathroom was great. Centre of the town location so it was sometimes a bit noisy.
Review 6:Very friendly and helpful hosts. Great breakfast.
Review 7:The hotel was dirty. The stairs are never cleaned and are a nightmare to get up and down with a suitcase they are narrow and on a turn. When you check in you are given the remote control for the TV with your keys. Obviously expecting some dodgy clients. Definitely wouldn't stay there again.
Review 8:The stairs are a bit narrow when carrying a suit case. Could do with a lift.
Review 9:The hotel and bar staff are friendly and helpful. I was able to park my motorcycle in the garage. The breakfast is really good with a nice selection.
Review 10:mold on the ceiling, too hot, no ac. breakfast was not included in price. location, neighbourhood was not so nice, overall auray was a bit of a let down...

Review 16:Lack of service
Review 17:Leaving
Review 18:Difficult to locate because of one way system.
Review 19:Close to centre of town, really comfortable bed and great breakfast.
Review 20:the rooms are a bit small
Review 21:small friendly hotel. the staff helpful and friendly
Review 22:none
Review 23:Excellent value for money and great location in the town - really great feel to the place
Review 24:Friendly staff Good entral location
Review 25:the door to the bathroom
Review 26:breakfast as a buffet the kindness of the staff and their attendance
Review 27:Very friendly staff
Review 28:Great use of small spaces. Good restaurant connected to hotel run by the same family. Good location for visiting the area without the crowded areas closer to the beach.
Review 29:Exceptional efforts, in a kindly way, to make us welcome. Auray a beautiful old town. "City Trip" description above is the closest to our use, but we also used it as a base to visit Carnac using the local bus.
Review 30:Room and bathroom tiny. Unbearable hot, staff offered very small fan which was totally inadequate. We had a very unpleasant night
Review 31:Location was good for visiting old port
Review 32:Car parking was a bit hit and miss. Obtaining a space without restrictions close to the hotel could be a problem
Review 33:Just a short walk from the historic port of Auray where most of the restaurants are to be found.
Review 34:Situated on a cross-roads so lots of traffic noise. This doesn't detract from stay & the busy market town adds to the enjoyment.
Review 35:Friendly, family run hotel. Good atmosphere, clean & welcoming. Great location. Breakfast excellent in comfortable surroundings. Attentive staff. Restaurant serves excellent lunchtime meals.
Review 36:Whilst modern and recently refurbished, all the decor throughout the hotel is very dark, making for a rather depressing general atmosphere. The bar at the front of the hotel is rarely used and therefore has little if any atmosphere. The owners are not very welcoming.
Review 37:Easy parking opposite hotel
Review 38:Mirrors in the bedroom would enhance (and enlarge) room as well as normal use.
Review 39:The hotel was well situated for the town centre and although our room was small it was clean, freshly decorated and had a refurbished bathroom. Kettle/tea/coffee in a French hotel room - wow! We had a warm welcome from the owner and the English girl and although we had to leave sooner than planned, we were very comfortable. We didn't dine in the hotel as food was served at breakfast and lunchtime only; the food looked good and the restaurant obviousy had a good reputation judging by the number of diners.
Review 40:The whole hotel was very hot. Our room was a little on the small side, but then so was the price. You get what you pay for.We had no trouble parking, but it maybe it could be a problem in high season. Nine euros for a G&T and a small beer seemed a little steep in the bar, but drinks prices are fine in the rest of the town.
Review 41:The staff were very friendly and helpful, the bed was very comfortable, the wi-fi was free and fast, the shower was hot and efficient, breakfastwas excellent. There are a couple of excellent restaurants in the port area, St Goustan, which is five minutes walk away and very pretty. We had a lovely time in this attractive little hotel, which is a short drive from some excellent places - Carnac, the Giberon Peninsula, Vannes, Chateau Sorcini and some excellent birdwatching. This hotel doesn't charge the credit card used to confirm the booking, unlike the two we stayed in in Britain at either end of our trip.
Review 42:In the hotel description the hotel is said to have it's own parking. That's not true, there is a public parking across the street from the hotel which is occupied most of the time and the hotel cannot book or reserve spaces in it. There were no tv channels in English programmed into the tv. The breakfast was odd, no real bread or rolls, just baguettes you could slice up, generally a pretty limited selection, especially for the price.
Review 43:It's location is great, close to Les Halles and the Town Hall, and a 10 minute walk from the entertainment district at the harbor. The WiFi internet connection was among the best I've experienced at a hotel.
Review 44:lack of cupboard space in bedroom. Would be ok for single night stopover but irritating for week stay

Review 56:Good breakfast buffet.
Review 57:Location was excellent, hotel had a "blast from the pass" kind of charm, hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.
