Reviews for Potts of Flemingate
Review 1:There were no parking facilities whatsoever and the owner randomly added ten pounds to the bill for there being an extra person even though a twin room for two adults had been booked. Wouldn't stay there again
Review 2:Breakfast was nice, room was clean and comfortable.
Review 3:Single beds in the twin room are very narrow and uncomfortable for a fully grown, mature adult. En suite would benefit from a makeover. Considering the cost of a room is £80.00 per night, it was disappointing to find there was no shampoo or body creams. Cleaning products stored in toilet is not very appealing or aesthetic. The promised parking availability was in fact on street in the middle of a housing estate and a 3 minute walk from guest house.
Review 4:Host was very polite and helpful
Review 5:Parking wasn't ideal as the closest free parking was a couple of streets away but didn't really cause any issues if you were organised enough. If you're looking to spend most of your break in Beverely itself then the location is ideal for not even needing a vehicle to get around.
Review 6:Service received from Andy was exceptional. Couldn't do enough for us and had loads of local knowledge which helped our stay. It's certainly a quirky set up with the antique shop but that's what makes it so memorable.
Review 7:No big deal but it was a tricky shower unit to get right temp/pressure combination - took quite a while (we found second button up & 6.5 temp about right in the end in case anyone tries room 2) Shame there wasn't a parking space reserved for the B&B but we always found a space in the area suggested and were able to pull in to un/load the car next to them.
Review 8:The family room was nice & comforatable with roomy bathroom and little hallway - all useful for baggage and 4 people washing and dressing! tv, fridge & sofa - although we had that opened as a bed the big bathroom meant there was still space to dress. The owner was very welcoming and helpful with our baggage and local info...
Review 9:Fridy night was considered midweek so check was not unitl 5.15! The owner said the late check in was on the website but we checked and could not find it! Dirty and Grubby rooms Breakfast was horrible! Greasy and salty! Nothing good to say about the place - service was poor. We were not given a choice at breakfast even though the menu offers one. The owner said, "Everyone usually has a full english!" I would rather camp than stop at this guest house again!

Review 11:Fab little place to stay in the lovely town of Beverley. Totally unique but really comfortable and really close to the Sun Inn to enjoy the live band and the town centre / Minster to thoroughly explore Beverley.
Review 12:Parking wasn't easy, the room was cold, the towels were rather old, only one bedside light worked. Compared to other b&bs it seemed poor value for money.
Review 13:It was fairly central.
Review 14:Slightly difficult to find in the dark. Apparently it's being repainted outside. It doesn't obviously look like a hotel as there is a shop downstairs, so without a name showing it was not obvious.
Review 15:The breakfast was excellent; it was perfectly cooked and tasty, particularly the bacon and mushrooms. The rooms were well equipped, but had individual character. Convenient parking
Review 16:Having to walk through a cafe/ shop to get to stairs. Bedroom very small for two people. Could have been cleaner. Breakfast, swimming in fat/oil. More suitable for truckers. Had same shirt on as day before when it was quite covered in perspiration.
Review 17:Parking a few minutes away but not too inconvenient!
Review 18:A great family room with enough space for 4 adults! A fridge, a huge bathroom and space between the 2 to leave bags and shoes! A fun room with a querky entrance to the building and close to The Minster and all the shops and restaurants of which there are plenty in Beverly! Well worth a visit and a stay!
Review 19:Stayed here as we were attending a wedding at the very near by Minster. The owner (didn't get his name...sorry) could not have been more helpful, from having the room available for us early for our wedding preparation, guiding me to a free parking spot and cooking an excellent breakfast for us at the time that we wanted it. Great bloke, great food, fab location...I would definitely return
Review 20:Nothing
Review 21:The location suited our purposes, the owner was extremely amenable and friendly - nothing was too much trouble! We had a very pleasant stay and breakfast was spot on!
Review 22:no specific car parking, we struggled a little but didn't ruin our break
Review 23:The location was excellent...just 100 yards from the minster and short walk from town centre..very old antique/brick a brac shop...breakfast was very good and the owner was very helpful and friendly...just a small B&B but most welcoming..comfy beds and quiet location so no night time noise....very good
Review 24:The way the shower was difficult to control though I did make good use of this facility.
Review 25:The relaxed nature of the venue. The privacy of the room. The quirky decorations. The breakfast cooked every morning - delicious.
Review 26:Noisy fridge that was in the room below that, due to the heat, was humming all night
Review 27:The room was large and the beds were very comfortable. Enough tea and milk for more than one cup of tea. About 5 minute walk to town.
Review 28:Leaving !
Review 29:Situated near the centre. Proprieter very laid back, doesn't reel off a load of do's and don'ts Tells you where everything is, gives you your keys and says "Enjoy" He also makes a cracking breakfast.
Review 30:Room is above a shop, or was that a tea room? No, not the posh-type. Staying here gave me a very awkward feeling.
Review 31:Owner is a helpful couchpotato and the location is next to the minster.

Review 41:Cool in bedroom,
Review 42:Just the parking, but not a major problem
Review 43:Friendly host, quaint atmosphere, fairly central, a bit different from your usual B & B
Review 44:Couldn't find the Wifi
Review 45:It was brilliant the room was big and comfy and the owner gave us drinks on our arrival.
Review 46:No available parking either on site or in adjacent street.
Review 47:More "house share" than "hotel".
Review 48:Towels discoloured, old and stiff. Greasy spoon breakfast.
Review 49:Bedroom and bathroom a bit old fashioned Difficult parking

Review 80:The pub directly opposite that had a karaoke night blaring out until 0200hrs. General standard of cleanliness. Poor quality old towels. Unable to get an ironing board and iron. Price.
Review 81:It is close to the town centre. Able to park car opposite after 1700hrs.
Review 82:personal service by a friendly guy, lovely location, private and quiet rooms, excellent pub nearly opposite the guesthouse and barbers shop opposite which we used. near to train station for trips to coast brid, scarborough, etc.
Review 83:returned late and door was double bolted so could not get in owner very apologetic. when asked on arrival what I wanted for breakfast and agreed was not what was served in the morning! Conclusion very friendly owner is forgetful!
Review 84:very friendly arrival good explanation of facilities and keys etc as I was going to be late returning. room was very clean and comfortable.
Review 85:Unfortunately the boiler had broken down and there was no heating. We booked 2 rooms but were only able to use the shower in one of the rooms. Although the owner had put electric heaters in both rooms, one of them was inadequate and the room was freezing. We were given £20 off but I really dont think that was enough. Couldnt wait to leave the following morning.
Review 86:The shower as it was either too hot or cold. didn't mention to the owner as we forgot.
Review 87:Fantastic price and the location was excellent for us. As a family we was all able to stay in the same room
Review 88:should have warned us to ring before we went to check in as no-one was there and we had to ring and wait 10 mins for someone to come. It was Christmas Day - but we could have rung first if we'd known.
Review 89:The room was double booked, we ended up in a tiny room with a cot bedwith broken springs. We did not get the family room we had booked, yetstill had to pay the same price which I felt was disgusting as the"hotel" was appalling
Review 90:Andy was a very hospitable host & made our stay enjoyable. Our room was clean & comfortable. The breakfast was very good. I would recommend Potts of Flemingate to everyone.
Review 91:Difficult to find somewhere to park; Expensive for what it is

Review 95:very tired bedding and towels
Review 96:There is no way that this B & B is of an AA 3 Star rating.
Review 97:Good value for money paid but would not have been happy to pay £90
Review 98:The shower wasn't very powerful and the bed squeaked when I turned over.
Review 99:The owner was very friendly and accommodating.
Review 100:There is no way Potts should have a 3 star rating from the aa. £99 wasextortionate for a very very basic bed and breakfast.

Review 102:Friendly proprieter
