Review 1：Difficulties to ring the bell so as to enter the building in the beginning. There is only a French notice on the door, which I don't understand. I ask help from the passer-by but they don't know how to. Finally two teenagers who are visiting someone in the building help when their passcode did not work.
Review 2：The convenience. It is really next to the bus station.
Review 3：A little tricky to get buzzed in. Hit down arrow on keypad followed by green bell button. Instructions in French, but that's ok. One can always call them from a cell phone to get buzzed in.
Review 4：Close to historic part of town. Close to bus stops. Took bus to airport to get rental car. Very nice people. Room large & cheerful.
Review 5：The car park from 15h30 on Saturday till 09h00 on Sunday cost 20 euros. The free wi-fi was 10 cents per minute. The drunks shouting at each other until dawn. The plastic sheet under the bottom sheet was very unpleasant. 70 euros was not a good deal.
Review 6：The fact that the hotel was near the opera house which was our reason for visitig Rennes. The shower worked.
Review 7：The shower head was disgusting. Need to be changed. It's mouldy!!! When I looked up I nearly fainted. I am not expecting a fridge or a safe for the price I'm paying which they don't provide. But clean shower head as least. My hubby decided not to shower... so it was a double whammy for me! And the bedding and pillows do remind us that it's a budget hotel. Worst is the Wifi; 1st we have to fill in a "security form" each and 2ndly, we have to watch the same 2min commercial every time we log on.
Review 8：i chose the hotel for it's proximity to the train station. It was a 15min walk and it felt slightly longer cause of the pebbly walkways and we were with our luggage. Anything closer to the train station was twice the cost. Considering Rennes was a stopover between Brittany and Paris, my focus was cost saving. So it met my budget. During the visit I found it's right next to the Oberkampf tram station, which was very convenient getting around. Right next to our hotel is Quick (France's Mac and the Mac that the rest of the world knows is right behind) And it is a 5min walk to St martin street where you can get wine and beer and food at very affordable price. In the hotel room, I like the charming garden table and chairs set. There was a kettle which was nice. The best deal was the TV supplying us with free Canal+.
