Reviews for Rev'hotel
Review 1:The staff were friendly and accommodating. Although basic the rooms had everything you could need and was spotlessly tidy. The staff were friendly and very helpful.
Review 2:There was a shower in the bath but no bracket on the wall or curtain or screen so you had to sit in the bath, not ideal with a husband that is 6'2" tall!!
Review 3:I like that the hotel was just on the outskirts of town and peaceful.
Review 4:mattress not comfortable, we rolled into the middle! No sunshades in the garden. Not all rooms have doors to the garden.
Review 5:Clean room, nice welcome. Nice to use the garden for relaxing. Handy restaurant opposite - good steak!
Review 6:not a bad experience but staff spoke limited English which could be a problem if requiring something in more detail but caused us no problems
Review 7:good location . very comfortable . staff friendly
Review 8:Very much a motel feel with ground floor rooms, ours was close to reception and the smoking area, which may put people off.
Review 9:Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room and facilities
Review 10:Being charged extra to move rooms, we had booked a standard room with direct access onto the patio, mainly for our old dog. When we arrived they gave us a room which had close access but not direct as booked on the site. They charge us an extra 10 euros for a room with direct access
Review 11:Location, breakfast, restaurant for evening meal, opposite hotel. The dog wasn't extra
Review 12:Bed too soft so we rolled together a lot Which woke us throughout the night. Wifi strength very weak so couldn't get a lot of apps to work.
Review 13:Staff are lovely and very welcoming, room was cleaned every day . Great value for money. Plus the option to get an evening meal across the road at a set price of 10.50 for three courses and a drink.
Review 14:About a 2km walk into town with little in the way of pavements. The only place to eat without getting in the car is across the road. We should have got in the car! Paying on arrival (we must have looks suspicious)?
Review 15:Modern clean room, breakfast, car parking, staff pleasant.
Review 16:No comfortable chair in the room No tea and coffee making facilities (although a kettle was found for us) Breakfast was very basic No English speaking tv at all (not even Sky News)
Review 17:The lovely lady on reception who helpfully found us a kettle The cleanliness The quiet location The comfortable bed
Review 18:Friendly staff. My french is not great but the staff were extremely patient and helpful. Breakfast was at an extra cost but offered a range of choices... fresh fruit, yoghurt, cake, bread, croissants as well as two juices and tea /coffee. Little extra touches made it a comfortable stay....
Review 19:Breakfast- coffee was cold and it wasn't worth paying for it would have been worth around €3 at the very most not €6.50 that was charged
Review 20:The girly decor- very pretty pink colours everywhere Wifi Garden Parking Staff
Review 21:Sheets and blankets instead of duvets and we like a larger bed but that's just our preference. We fixed a tap which had come adrift.
Review 22:The garden room. The flowers The safe, convenient parking The quiet The decor The cleanliness The shower The air conditioning Mme Choisy L'Epi Grill next door Good manners Little helpful notes in English
Review 23:Rooms tired and need upgrade. Mezzanine room far too hot and needed aircon. Walls need sound proofing as could hear person next door's mobile vibrating at 0530. Rest of family kept awake by drunks in next room - with reception closed at 2200, little could be done about it!
Review 24:Nothing bar location.
Review 25:I would consider the "welcome" by the receptionist (manageress?) although professional, could hardly be called "warm" - the smile didn't exist. And when leaving, I left the keys on the counter, and althogh she was by the desk, there was not "goodbye and thankyou" - just nothing!
Review 26:The fact that it was modern, clean, lots of parking space, lovely breakfast room.
Review 27:Friendly, helpful staff.
Review 28:It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities
Review 29:The staff were very friendly and helpful
Review 30:Smell of perspiration in room. Needs air con.
Review 31:Lovely garden and clean rooms. Breakfast is good value.
Review 32:no shops, taxi ride away to town square if no car
Review 33:Nice quite place, good price and breakfast
Review 34:It was a lovely hotel. Would stay again
Review 35:Restaurant very conveniently located
Review 36:Stale croissants / bread awful breakfast not worth the money.
Review 37:Nothing.
Review 38:Breakfast could have a been a little nicer - perhaps more options for fruit or some ham.
Review 39:Incredibly helpful and friendly staff
Review 40:Nothing
Review 41:Quiet clean and cosy
Review 42:The restaurant
Review 43:Recommended restaurant not good.
Review 44:Very helpful staff. Secure storage for our bicycles.
Review 45:A good place for a stopover for us and liked the 'motel' style accommodation.
Review 46:Away from city centre
Review 47:Good value Quiet New and clean
Review 48:Location excellent. Staff extremely helpful.
Review 49:Having to leave
Review 50:The attention to detail making the stay a realy memorable and we are loking forward to our next visit
Review 51:No A/C Uncomfortable chairs Very small twin room
Review 52:Pleasant helpful staff Good breakfast Spotlessly clean Convenient location
Review 53:Comfortable, attractive, immaculately clean rooms. Delicious breakfasts. Attractive gardens with plenty of outside chairs. Good parking facilities. Great attention to detail by the friendly manager and her care for the interests of customers.
Review 54:Terribly uncomfortable pillows. Nowhere to get a coffee except at breakfast. Toilet flush took approximately 15 minutes to fill, very noisily, probably broken. Window blinds very noisy to lower so when neighbours came home they woke the place when they put the blind down. Staff not very friendly but mot rude. Just did their job and no more.
Review 55:Clean, accessible. Reasonable breakfast. Not expensive
Review 56:The heating could not be switched off or controlled and made the room to hot for us to sleep, did try the remote control could not adjust the temp. It was the same for the other room my sister inlaw stayed in. The steps to up stairs were two steep and could do with a looking at as my daughter fell from the top , look early my wife was at the bottom and caught her which was very lucky cringe at the thought if there heads were to have clashed still give me nightmares and will for a long time. Maybe a gate at the top would help.
Review 57:Good clean facilities, idea location nice that we could sit out of our room while the children played in the swing area and grass.
Review 58:Simple motel type accommodation in a modern single story purpose build facility. Cosy and friendly close to the centre of the town ideal for business or exploring the surrounding countryside. Private parking.
Review 59:I have stayed at this hotel before and it is now much improved, however the breakfasts are still meagre and could be improved.
Review 60:Good location Easy access Value for money
Review 61:Some staff were not very happy at having to speak English as i can't speak French. Breakfast not worthy. It is a bit of a walk to the city by national roads if you don't have a car.
Review 62:Most of staff were nice and hepful with all we need. It is quiet and clean.
Review 63:The taxi service recommended by the Hotel (Moulinier) seemed EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. Avoid it!
Review 64:Warm welcome. Comfortable rooms. Possibility to eat breakfast out of doors in the sunshine.
Review 65:Bit tight on room space, could be wider for the likes of me a wheelchair user; the shower hot water regulator was scolding, needs looking at.
Review 66:Overall a comfortable room, will use again.
Review 67:Slightly inflexible approach with reception shut from 12-4 and no keys issued before that point.
Review 68:Clean, modern, everything worked, comfortable bed, reasonably priced breakfast
Review 69:I had a long drive ahead of me so asked if I could purchase/have a cup of coffee from the filter that was there for the breakfast customers, and just got a flat no, even though it was just there bubbling away. I found this rude and unhelpful, I would have paid and asked if I could buy one, but no means no apparently!
Review 70:It was very good value for money.
Review 71:no beverage making facilities in room, no hairdryer, very little english spoken, one needs some french
Review 72:comfortable beds ,nicely decorated, very clean, friendly staff
Review 73:Would have preferred to have tea and coffee in the room, even if it had just been a kettle and mugs.
Review 74:The location for us this trip was perfect as we were attending a family wedding nearby Riberac.
Review 75:Breakfast expensive- 6 euros per person for basic continental breakfast4pm is very late for a check in time
Review 76:Very clean hotelstaff helpful but could be more a little more approachable
Review 77:The walls were really thin so we could hear noise from other rooms and the corridor. The staff weren't very friendly and wouldn't let us check in a few minutes early despite the rooms being ready. The wifi was pretty poor too.
Review 78:The rooms were reasonably sized for the money we paid
Review 79:The staff were not very accommodating of early check-in or late check out. Check-in of 4pm is a little annoying
Review 80:Very clean and smart hotel. Very nice restaurant opposite for the odd meal.
Review 81:Breakfast options do not match similar type of "overnightstop" hotels and B&B type premisesfor either quality, quantiy orprice. The option of tea / coffee making facilities either in theroom or the reception area would be recommended.
Review 82:Clean and tidy. Quiet and comfortable for our needs. Easily accessibleand good parking.
Review 83:Breakfast was a bit basic. Very little fruit and no cheese or ham other than a processed soft cheese. No rugs in the bedroom
Review 84:Spa bath in the bathroom and gallery bedroom ideal for a family. Room was clean and bed comfortable
Review 85:It was easy to find, just outside the town. It was a good, tidy, clean hotel with friendly staff who could speak English, it also had a lovely garden area with seats and tables
Review 86:It offers everything you need. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water, good bathroom, separate toilet. The bed was very comfortable and there were extra pillows and blankets if you needed them. The staff were very helpful and friendly, it has a welcoming family feel and you are treated like a guest. There are plenty of tables and chairs and sun loungers outside in a very pleasant garden where you can eat your breakfast or just relax. There is very good grill restaurant across the road which serves excellent food at very good prices. I would highly recommend the Rev' hotel.
Review 87:Very comfortable, best night rest I had in a week in France. Freeinternet worked great, cell phone reception a little bad. Room very niceand staff very helpful, even though they spoke very little English and Ispoke very little French. Breakfast only 6 Euro per person.
Review 88:Should have hair dryer in the room (but you can get one at thereception)
Review 89:Nice courtyard where you can relax on chairs in the sunshine with a viewon the countryside
Review 90:The ladies who owned the hotel were extremely pleasant, helpful and attentive to your needs. Every aspect of the hotel was kept spotlessly clean. Their desire to make your stay comfortable was reflected in the beautiful outside spaces they had created where you could go and sit any time of the day. Breakfast was a good continental breakfast and there was a very handy and reasonably priced restaurant across the road. In our opinion this is excellent value for money and a lovely place to stay if you want a base for exploring the area. We would definatetly stay again.
Review 91:couldn't book in until 4pm and no lounge to wait. Thought we had no curtains but realised the day after that there were shutters.
Review 92:convenient location, nice rooms. Breakfast was nice tho I think was pricey, (but we found that most of France was pretty expensive). Staff pleasant and helpful. Nice restaurant next door thank goodness as arrived early and really needed refreshment and a rest after drive from Limoge. Limited English spoken but good effort made to understand us and our pigeon French.
Review 93:The reception closes for a good portion of the afternoon, which can be a pain on arrival. After checking out there is no left luggage.
Review 94:The hotel was very clean. We stayed for my friend's wedding at a local Chateau. The owners were helpful and booked taxis etc for us.
Review 95:Couldn't access room until after 4p.m although you could leave yourluggage earlier
Review 96:Good value for money Extremely comfortable Very clean and well keptLittle English spoken by owner and staff but communication was not aproblem Own transport is really essential as hotel was on the outskirtsof the town
Review 97:Having stayed here several times before I was horrified by the newowner. She obviously does not like guests. Every guest in the hotel feltthe same. She had petty rules. She shouted at young children (why putout swings if you don't want them used?). All the guests were wellmannered but told to keep their voices down if they spoke out in thegarden at night (again, why put tables and chairs out?). One poor guestwas taken to hospital and she showed no concern. Not a single guest saidthey would go back purely because of her attitude. A visitor to thehotel was treated like a criminal and not allowed past the desk despitebeing a long-standing honest citizen of Riberac. Riberac deserves a goodhotel for it's guests - not an unwelcoming event. The location is notideal and people use it because of the price and it being the only hotelin town. Not good enough.
Review 98:Breakfast was poor and wasn't value for money. The hotel closescompletely from 12:00 to 16:00, which didn't help when we had arrived at13:15 and had to wait outside for it to open! Also, on the day ofdeparture, we checked out at 11:00 as requested but the proprietor wouldnot let us wait at the hotel until our taxi picked us up at 14:00 - shewas quite rude about this, even though we were happy to wait outside andwere not expecting any services to be provided. A large group of us wereeffectively evicted from the premises, which was very disappointing andleft poor impression on us all. Also, we had attempted to contact thehotel via email on 4 occasions before arrival but got no response - wehad a delay in arrival due to flight delays, however because they didn'tacknowledge our notification, we were charged for an additional nightsstay. Services are limited, no bar, restaurant or lounge area - for theprice we paid it would have been nice to have somewhere central to relaxwith friends - we ended up meeting at the restaurant across the road, where the staff were very accommodating and the service was much better!
Review 99:Rooms were a fair size and clean, and what we expected based onphotographs and previous reviews. We were attending a wedding in thearea and the hotel was fine as a base for this, however it is some wayoutside the village, and the location would not have suited usotherwise unless you have a car and just use the hotel as a base toexplore the area.
Review 100:Boombox construction produces typical motel noise level, including water system. Visitors suffered rather than welcomed.
Review 101:paper thin walls
Review 102:convenience of position
Review 103:Lovely clean and fresh hotel. Good size ensuite and bedroom. Good breakfast and handy restaurant next door.
Review 104:Staff helpful and polite. Room (comfort) adequate, but "grand comfort" type suggested if you trvel with adolescents.
Review 105:lack of bath towels. bolster pillow.
Review 106:good value budget hotel. plenty of parking space. close to town centre.
Review 107:window at ground level and no air conditioning. Very dark hallway even with light on.
Review 108:The staff were not accommodating.
Review 109:Non english speaking, no tea or coffee facilities
Review 110:Hotel was clean room cleaned daily.
Review 111:Clean, simple, good value for money
Review 112:Clean, quiet, inexpensive, good restaurant in 100m. Really helpful and friendly staff
Review 113:Small room, VERY uncomfortable bed., basic breakfast. Riberac has little going for it as a town. Would not visit again.
Review 114:Bed sagged.
Review 115:Quiet and convenient. Good grill next door.
Review 116:Value for money
Review 117:cold, lacking comfort
Review 118:clean
Review 119:Helpful staff
Review 120:The hotel was very clean and efficient.
Review 121:Very curtious & polite assistancegiven to us from the mangeress asmy French is very poor, was helpful &did her very best to assist usin every way
Review 122:I like curtains as well as shutters.
Review 123:It is very convenient for why I need to stay there, the price is good and the rooms are comfortable.
