Reviews for CGH Résidences & Spas Les Cimes Blanches

Review 1:Being on the top floor lift was out of action one day no instructions for the oven instructions provided were for a different oven

Review 2:Pleasant family friendly resort

Review 3:Limited cooking facilites and kitchen area - difficult to cook Christmas dinner with a pressure cooker and a microwave! Fine for preparing small meals and snacks though. Swimming pool was pretty cold - but it did mean there was fewer people in it!

Review 4:Lovely spacious 2 bedroom apartment with double aspect balconies overlooking the slope and the Tarentaise Valley. Great ski in and out location right by the slopes. Nice spa with steam, sauna, pool and hot tubs. Nicely furnished and comfortable. Games and dvds available to borrow from reception. Free Wifi - sometimes a bit slow, but you have to remember you are up a mountain and not in a major city.

Review 5:The price

Review 6:Fabulous facilities

Review 7:No communication on how to check out. Uncertain check in given that we were arriving late. Apartment was prepared for two guests (towels and bedding). We had arrived after reception closed and had no bedding for the sofa bed on the first night.

Review 8:Ski in ski out, apartment size, view from balcony, swimming pool, quiet.

Review 9:The bed wasn't comfortable and a lot of hair were stick to the bedding. Kids were playing in the swimming pool and jagzi quite loudly. That wasn't relaxing. Under staff at reception. Had to wait for a while to be served.

Review 10:location: ski in and out was very easy. excellent. swimming area was fantastic and had a nice view.

Review 11:The only slight downside was the staff at reception - rather unfriendly and not terribly helpful....you didn't feel like a valued client!

Review 12:Very nice apartment and health spa - met all our expectations. The decoration in the apartment was of a high standard with nice bathrooms (often poor in other ski apartments) and all you need for cooking/eating. The swimming pool complex was very good although the pool was a little cold for small kids but the jacuzzi was warm/clean as were the steam rooms/saunas. The location was good....only a short walk to the ski lifts and for eating out in the evenings. The ski hire shop directly next to the complex was useful and the service friendly. All in all it is a great residence for families with kids of all ages.

Review 13:Unfortunately not a very good start to our holiday, upon arrival we were given keys to an apartment that had clearly not cleaned ( beds unmade, towels all over bathroom, toilet not flushed, dirty crockery in dishwasher!!). They were very apologetic and gave us keys for another room which was fine, apart from at 10pm we had another couple enter and said it was their room. We inform them to contact reception as there was a mistake resulting in the manager coming to our room asking why we were there!!! As she was in reception during their first error we found this very disconcerting, especially as the manager offered no apology for our second inconvenience. Albeit its a lovely residence.

Review 14:The Apartments were a very good standard, more or less everything was supplied to provide a comfortable self catering break.

Review 15:Wi-Fi connection in the rooms is a little week and we had difficulty connecting some devices.

Review 16:Another great stay at Les Cimes Blanches, this is our third visit and as usual the apartments were immaculate and the location is superb with Ski in and out straight to the ski rooms, the boot room is great and it was nice to have warm boots to put on in the morning. The leisure facilities were excellent and it was nice to relax after a day on the slopes. Would recommend a visit and if you are up to it ski over to Thuile for lunch on the Italian side of the mountain.

Review 17:It's very hard to find, extremely difficult road. It's a small village. Cost is too high for this location. Cleaning costs additional summ. Parking costs 10 euro per day. It must be included!! Nobody changes toilet paper. It's like apartment which is abandoned while you are there. TOO EXPENSIVE for all of this!

Review 18:nice mountains around, good pool

Review 19:Towel rail in bathroom is hot enough to burn unless you turn it down

Review 20:Really nice balance between luxury and cost. Very practical apartment and excellent ski lockers.

Review 21:No shop, coffee shop or restaurant - all are a 10 min walk away. Poor signposting and instructions on arrival. For instance the boot room to our chalet was through a door marked 'Apparts 16-21' - not at all obvious and we didn't even know it was there until half way through the week. Also there are 3 carparks and several lifts, all at different levels, so our appartment was on level 5 in one lift and level 1 in another - all very confusing. Kept getting lost in the beginning - all very frustrating when carrying skis and equipment around. Don't expect to check-in before at least 1630, regardless of the time you arrive, and check-in is stressful with hundreds of people crammed into the reception waiting, a bit like waiting in a departure lounge for a flight. We had 2-4 person appartment which was 2 single beds and then a sofa with a pull-out drawer/truckle bed. If you have small children then of course they go to bed early and so have the bedroom leaving the adults pretty uncomfortable. As with other reviews there was no bedding provided for this - we had to ask reception, so make sure you check on arrival into the appartment as reception is not manned 24 hours. Small box of cleaning items and 1 roll of toilet paper on arrival. Pool supervised sporadically and expect to share the jacuzzi with up to 25 (!) others during peak times, including kids wearing armbands.

Review 22:Location is excellent for ski slopes.Ski hire shop on premises. Appartments are well furnished and equipped. Spa is well-equipped and nice after a day skiing. Variety of treatments available for adults and kids too. Bus into La Rosiere stops right outside the front door. Bakery items and newspapers can be ordered. Can be good value depending on what price you get and when you book.

Review 23:I think for the price parking really should be included in the price.

Review 24:The chalet's are well appointed and tastefully decorated in mountain style. Excellent access to the slopes and village. The pool was a really hit with the kids

Review 25:We had announced that we would be arriving late at night outside ofreception opening hours. We received an e-mail confirming this andtelling us that an envelope with the key would be left for us. It turnedout to be inside a safe for which you need a code. No one had told usthis nor provided the code. There was an emergency phone number postedat the door, but no one picked up. After an hour in the freezing nightand about 20 tries, someone finally answered and gave us the code.According to the information, our room was No. 15, but the key did notfit. It turned out to be for No. 10 instead. There were only two beds inspite of the fact that reservation had been made for three adults. Ispent the night on a sofa bed with no linen. The arrival was a completedisaster. Error upon error which can only be ascribed to an astonishinglack of competence and regard for customers. I wonder what the folks inNo. 15 were thinking when we attempted to open their door in the middleof the nght.... If you go there, be sure to arrive during receptionopening hours.

Review 26:Small but functional apartment. Great access to ski slopes rightoutside the door.

Review 27:I wouldn't say I didn't like anything, although it may have been nice ifthere was a bar in the complex and if a couple of English channels wereavailable on the tv.

Review 28:As a family on a skiing holiday we found proximity to the slopesexcellent. The pool and spa facilities were great after a day skiing. The apartment was very spacious and clean. Staff were very friendlyand helpful.

Review 29:Despite an early booking they clearly did not take any notice of our specific chalet request. One female individual at reception very rude/impolite; sadly on duty as we arrived so not a good initial impression. All others very helpful & friendly.

Review 30:Clean, quality chalet with ideal location for ski lift. Lovely & quiet; only noise was from a small piste-basher clearing access around the chalet early evening & the 'whooshing' of ski's on snow as we sat over breakfast on our balcony in the morning! Very high standard of spa facilities (pool etc) for those who desire.

Review 31:This is our second year visiting, we found our chalet this year was smaller and not so well positioned - near the stairwell with resulting noise. It felt expensive for the price and to expect it to sleep 6 would be uncomfortable (we only had 4 and felt it was just large enough). We were also irritated that with all this expense, the reception and swimming pool closed sharp at 8pm each night - many resorts keep pools open to 10pm.

Review 32:The facilities - swimming pool and spa - are high quaility. The skiing in this area is very good and the chalets are well situated for reasonable ski-in /ski-out....though some are better positioned than others.

Review 33:Not a true ski/in location. It was not clear from the description thatthere are a number of apartment buildings. Ours was was the furthestfrom the slope access, and involved carrying skis for approx 5 mins.!!That said we were able to ski back down a narrow track.!

Review 34:Staff not overly helpful. Spa facilities due to open until 8pm but staff ushered people out from 7.30 and closed at 7.45pm. Chose hotel because pet friendly but felt charge of 50 euro for dog for the week was a little OTT. Hotel selling point was free wifi but it was through a web portal page and would only accept 1 log in for each chalet. Not v good for family with iPhones and iPod touches or indeed a group of 6 individuals all with smart phones. Had booked 2 adults and 3 children however bedding was not provided for 3rd child and had to be requested. Be prepared to buy/take toilet roll-we were only supplied with half a roll.

Review 35:Great location, able to ski to door of chalet and convenient for ski lift. Clean design, airy and functional. Kitchen well equipped. Good spa facilities.

Review 36:Wifi didn't work

Review 37:Ski in, ski out

Review 38:Everything, amazing location, spa and accomodation. Will return next year.

Review 39:Proximity to the slopes (Ski in/out) Swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi

Review 40:Exceptionally clean and excellent facilities
