Reviews for Les Glaciers

Review 1:wifi very slow

Review 2:Hotel is located in town and parking is right outside. Ver clean and staff friendly. You get a voucher for discounted ski hire from the store next door and free ski storage up the mountain.....well worth it.

Review 3:The swimming pool.. you must cross the outside parking to get there and there is no place to get changed once you are there. I would not mention this pool in the description of the Hotel.

Review 4:There was a weird plastic mattress cover on the bed. It meant that we woke in the middle of the night with the bottom sheet drenched. The wifi was patchy and not really suitable if you are trying to keep up with work whilst you are away.

Review 5:The location and ease of using the hotel was unbeatable. Our room was quiet with a fantastic view of the mountains (once you over looked the car park). The room was comfortable and warm and secure.

Review 6:beds too short bed covers too short wifi limited owners not helpful and grumpy rooms too small bathroom unit build in room no tile heater in bathroom cold rooms 190 euro per night???? It is so overpriced! And you feel so not welcomed! It's a creepy hotel!!! Never again!

Review 7:Breakfast

Review 8:Satellite TV channels would have been appreciated. Corridor lights on a timer so could be plunged into darkness if not aware. Had read previous reviews about this so not a problem for us.

Review 9:Rooms very clean with comfortable beds. Excellent location in centre of village. Good breakfast, free wifi.

Review 10:Guests let themselves in on arrival after 9pm. This seems a little self service for 150 euros a night. Reception helpful when attended. Standard rooms extremely small & boxy for money. Not pleasant arrangement with split toilet box with bathroom (bath + shower over) other side. Middle 'hole' is walkway to balcony. Not great ambience and wardrobe space very small and very insufficient if on ski holiday. Overall would not pay more than 80 euros a night for standard room as more single in size albeit containing a small double bed. Beds comfy but central location and lack of soundproofing mean sleep quality fairly poor. Guests quite well behaved tho so could have been much worse. Price for superior room very very high though much nicer and larger in size, would not pay price again for this accommodation.

Review 11:Central location easy access to town. Breakfast nice and relaxed. Good quality tho ltd selection. Service was good and they replenished. Happy with this element. Comfy bed. Twin beds in superior room better for us. Nice furnishings in rooms.

Review 12:Central to the village Very polite staff especially Sophie on front desk and barstaff Sauna although would have been better if not away from the pools Breakfast was included

Review 13:Could be harder to park when it's a busier time of year - but that isn't the hotel's fault.

Review 14:Clean and comfortable spacious rooms. Free parking and wifi, simple but effective breakfast, nice bar and friendly staff. Brilliant location for either the ski bus or to walk to the main ski lift.

Review 15:Poor wifi. Bar closes at 9:30pm

Review 16:Great central location. Nice breakfast. Very clean. Owner allowed us a room for late check out so we could shower after skiing on the last day. Very helpful

Review 17:Cost - very expensive Wifi - Unable to access wifi anywhere in hotel for our 4 day stay. Shower - needed to hold head while showering, temperature changed without warning and no shower curtain.

Review 18:Location and staff

Review 19:Very helpful staff. Lovely swimming pools and a beautiful balcony

Review 20:Breakfast okay but coffee not nice. Bar very cliquey. No tea and coffee making facilities.

Review 21:Lovely place, comfortable room. Great situation.

Review 22:The indoor pool is in a small, cramped space in the basement and was cold. Not great parking.

Review 23:Great Breakfast

Review 24:changing facilities in swimming pool and wifi was intermittent

Review 25:The location in the village was great for ski lift and restaurants

Review 26:A tad expensive. Walk to the ski lift is 10 mins.

Review 27:Everything. Warm, clean, nice staff.

Review 28:Nothing

Review 29:Everything

Review 30:No shower curtain

Review 31:Charming hotel, great location

Review 32:Not good wifi

Review 33:excellent location good facilities friemdly staff rooms very comfy

Review 34:the thing walls and unfriendly owners

Review 35:Waiters were friendly and polite

Review 36:Location great , nice bar exclusive to guests, quadruple rooms great with a mezzanine level for the kids

Review 37:Noisy guests. Bar closed too early.

Review 38:Location and good breakfast.

Review 39:Lack of shower curtain/screen meant water spray went everywhere when showering.

Review 40:Central location. Helpful staff.

Review 41:Corridors Beds Shower

Review 42:Staff , location

Review 43:Room looked on to building site despite hotel being half empty

Review 44:Staff friendly and helpful

Review 45:Soft beds. Lack of a shower screen or curtain.

Review 46:Location. Accessibility. Homely. Balcony.

Review 47:staff Location Breakfast Pool room

Review 48:Very Limited public areas, no lounge to relax only a bar so not a cosy hotel at all, purely functional. My main issue was the pitch black corridors. My room was at least 10 meters from a switch, so when you left the room you were plunged into darkness trying to lock your door, you would literally be feeling your way along the wall to find a switch, then double back to lock your door. It was the same on my return, no lights on anywhere. With no windows it really was pitch black and quite dangerous, especially if you had children, very odd.

Review 49:Location is great, room very clean.

Review 50:-Rooms are a bit outdated -Noisy -Staff offers basic assistance but doesn't go beyond what is absolutely necessary -Breakfast not great value for money

Review 51:- Central location

Review 52:No coffee and tea making facilities in rooms. No meals available except breakfast. Short breakfast hours, only 7.30 to 9.30. Reception unmanned after 9 pm.

Review 53:Attractive rooms with good sized bathrooms. Small, warm indoor pool. Good breakfast. Storage for skiing equipment. Easy to find, close to everything.

Review 54:This is a B&B not a hotel despite the massive sign that says Hotel-Restaurant. They do NOT serve meals and the bar and reception are closed by 9pm. Breakfast was a rip off at 15 euros per person for self service continental breakfast on trays, on the slopes you can get a fully cooked breakfast for 12 euros! This hotel has a great location and probably the largest dinning room in Samoens, such a pity that it is not managed in an efficiently. My view is that the current owners should sell it to give way to people who want to run a hotel-Restaurant and bring the place to life. As it is it feels oddly dead.

Review 55:Rooms are ok and clean. Great Location for the Grand Massif Express lift. We had a late flight and the hotel looked after our cases, while we went skiing for the day and they let us use the showers on our return late in the afternoon. Couldn't fault them.

Review 56:No evening meal - could do limited evening bar meals like two pizzas, lasagna, chilli and couple other simple dishes - needed as restaurants very busy - fair to say it was half term

Review 57:Family that ran hotel very hospitable - Breakfast although £12 was good quality and eat as much as you wanted - very nice hotel

Review 58:The bed was really bad and small for 2 people. Price for such a small room with uncomfortable bed was rather high, but I guess it's more the location you pay for.

Review 59:Nice people, good location in the village of Samoens, easy to go to the pistes with bus connection.

Review 60:Good comfortable hotel ideal location, didn't have the breakfast as I thought 15 euros is a bit much per person so we ate breakfast out as there are lots little patisseries too eat in. Amazing place to spend Christmas we had fun and would highly recommend Samoens to anyone .

Review 61:Indoor swimming pool looked very unpleasant. Dated in spite of apparent cosmetic improvements in some areas.

Review 62:Location in centre of village was convenient. Clean and quiet.

Review 63:Staff had very poor english and couldn't even help when the cleanerhad mistakenly taken my own towel from my room by accident hence nevergot it back. If you are vegetarian or travelling with vegetarians -don't go to France, least not Samoens. There was 1 pizza house nextdoor and a small resraunt in the main square that had a couple ofveggie dishes tho but on the mountain was a headache. Price I paid oncheckout was more than on Booking.com by about 10 Euro (+tax on top ofthat) but didn't bother questioning it due to poor english on theowners behalf.

Review 64:Hotel was nice and clean and warm and although other people hadmentioned noise due to proximity to the road we had no trouble evenfacing the main street. Lots of places to eat out round about and a 2minwalk to the shuttle bus to the main gondola. Lovely village with lots ofsmall shops and patisseries.

Review 65:Safe deposit box did not work.

Review 66:Our room was clean and well maintained, we did eat dinner in the restaurant which was nice although we ate breakfast out because we thought it too expensive. The hotel is well situated both for the shops and restaurants. The gondola is just a minutes drive away, we both enjoyedour weeks stay.

Review 67:Great location close to the ski bus pickup point. In the centre of the village close to bars and restaurants. Everything you need for a weekend ski break.

Review 68:Poor comfort in the room; 4 people-room but no way to seat 4 people comfortably. Some of the staff was not especially friendly. Going out for dinner in Samoens with 2 small kids is close to impossible, you need reservations several days ahead. Only exception: an english-style pub with excellent burgers and crèpes.

Review 69:Its position in the center of the village, close to any shops and restaurants.

Review 70:The breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from, but at 15 eurosper person it was rather expensive for a Continental breakfast.

Review 71:Location in the village was excellent, staff were friendly, rooms wereclean and warm.

Review 72:The breakfast in the hotel was quite expensive for a cold buffet without table service.

Review 73:The location of the hotel was excellent for skiing and great for walks to the local bars, shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable and warm with excellent views towards the mountains.

Review 74:Expensive breakfast at 15 eur each extra but plenty of places in Samoensto get an alternative cheaper breakfast.

Review 75:Perfect location in centre of Samoens 20% discount at ski hire shop justnext door Walkable or 2min shuttle bus to ski lift

Review 76:Bed matress was very soft and worn, it was like two people trying tosleep in a hammock. Proberbly should have been replaced 5 years ago.Disappointing for the cost of the hotel

Review 77:Great town location, very tradtional

Review 78:nothing

Review 79:nice hotel, very nice helpful staff.Rooms lovely.great location in the centre of Samoens

Review 80:Strange smell in room 336, prices at the bar, elevator closed after 21.00

Review 81:Location close to ski bus stop, friendly staff, decent ski room

Review 82:Location

Review 83:Pool cold, no hot tub, breakfast poor and expensive.

Review 84:Location, very clean.

Review 85:Breakfast overpriced Bar closed at 9pm

Review 86:Friendly staff Comfortable beds Very clean

Review 87:tinned fruit salad (fresh would have been more in keeping with the hotel)

Review 88:swimming pool

Review 89:We struggled to find the hotel at first.

Review 90:A nice hotel in a good location. Surprisingly quiet when we visited.

Review 91:No restaurant in the hotel itself

Review 92:Very helpful staff Wide range of facilities, such as pool, sauna, Jacussi etc

Review 93:The parking was quite limited and not particularly secure

Review 94:Staff were friendly and helpful. Swimming pool. Location

Review 95:Staff not friendly, impersonal

Review 96:Good location, clean and comfortable reasonable price for the area. Did not take dinner or breakfast there.

Review 97:Expensive breakfast Rooms could be bigger

Review 98:Location Comfort Value Clean

Review 99:Parking was a little restricted, but we always found a space (just!)

Review 100:Welcoming, friendly staff. Comfortable hotel.

Review 101:The toilet in the room had no heating and was freezing

Review 102:The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Review 103:No lift and narrow spiral staircase wasn't easy to carry luggage up to our room

Review 104:Location was excellent near to shops, bars in the centre of town.

Review 105:the food was over priced and there was no variety for children the only option was turkey and mash for children and was over priced at 15.00 euros

Review 106:Accommodation a bit basic but you are in the Alps!

Review 107:location and facilities. Friendly staff
