Reviews for Hotel Les Palmiers

Review 1:We have known this hotel for some time. It was updated a few years ago and is greatly improved, now owned by a hotel chain. The location for us is brilliant as we go to the braderie in St. Tropez. No food as restaurant is closed in Oct. however plenty of restaurants still open. Breakfast mediocre. .

Review 2:Rooms are needing updated ( old and tired ).

Review 3:Location , right by the marina . Price for off season . Comfy bed . Restraunts the door step . Parking near by 50meters .

Review 4:Breakfast a bit on the dear side for what it was -however, everything very fresh.

Review 5:Excellent service. All staff very helpful and friendly. Ate in hotel restaurant -good choice of courses, reasonably priced and service excellent.

Review 6:No car-park, 18 euros per day for access to port car park opposite but no guarantee of a space! Very basic room and dated decor. Staff not particularly helpful or friendly.

Review 7:Great location near the port, town centre and ferries to St Tropez.

Review 8:Was concerned that could not use phone with What's App to speak to people in other countries. Wifi was good but did not allow certain applications

Review 9:Loved the hotel. Was in a great position. Very comfortable and staff were all helpful and friendly

Review 10:it was right next to a cathedral and the bells went early morning all day long it was rediculas. The shower was a bath shower and had been broken for years the sockets were hanging off the walls when we pulled out plugs out our phones the whole socket was coming out the wall. Never ate there but very very expensive. Only air con in one room the other was like an oven but never slept anyway with the bells going off every half an hour unreal. Too noisy in small room to leave window open for the noise off the bells. Also got the bus to this place from St Raphael they let us off as soon as we hit the beach five miles away we had to walk to the town no footpaths with cases it took us hours there was no other transport. Overpriced by far in my opinion .

Review 11:location was excellent, right next to the town, night markets every night, and the boat to other parts of the St Topez and other stops right outside on the jetty. Lovely place lots to see and do.

Review 12:no english channels, and need a passcode to change the language on the tv.

Review 13:New room, clean, quiet at night, great location, nice front desk people, Cristophe and Camille. Easy parking. Would for sure stay here again.

Review 14:Possibly because late on into the season there is no restaurant availability. Breakfast.ok but could be improved baring in mind the cost which is rather high.

Review 15:The location for us is important.

Review 16:The bells - the bells! Unfortunately the hotel is right down the street from the church and the bell-ringers are very enthusiastic, especially on Sunday. Also, there is no parking at the hotel itself, although there are car parks reasonably close by.

Review 17:Very helpful and friendly staff. Nice variety of selection for breakfast. Very close to the beach and right across from the pier for the Saint-Tropez ferry. Close to shops and restaurants. Not far from the casino.

Review 18:paint crumbled from the ceiling, air conditioning not useable due to the unhealthy smell (room no 19), very small bed for two people, breakfast far too expensive (go to a cafe, that's cheaper and better)

Review 19:location was good due to nearness to harbour where you can go to St Tropez by ship

Review 20:Make sure to book car parking card for the parking at harbour opposite.

Review 21:Hotel is very near harbour with ferries to St Tropez. Great for anyone with walking issues. Also near all the restaurants and night markets. Staff are really accommodating and went beyond what was expected of them.

Review 22:Street is noisy during the night.

Review 23:The otel is center of Saint-Maxime and just 5 minutes walk to port. Room and bathroom is so clean and the bad is the most comforable one which I ever seen. Great option to stay there!

Review 24:There is no management in the hotel after midnight and we were disturbed by the drunk fellow clients who were very noisy and disrespectful. Nobody was there to complain to or stop the madness. St Maxime is a very expensive town. Food and drinks are at lower prices even in St Tropez. The town is a joke. Not a single buffet or market to buy a bottle of water within a range of 300metres. Do not waste your time! Unless it is OK for you to pay €2 for a small bottle of water in a restaurant served with a grumpy face!

Review 25:Located close to bars and restaurants which are more than expensive.

Review 26:no breakfast

Review 27:I like the very good filing of Cote d Azure providing by staying in Hotel Les Palmiers and a little bit back in to the past, good sleeping.

Review 28:The croissants at breakfast! Change your provider! I have eaten too many croissants in the past 2 weeks to let this slip...

Review 29:We really liked the location. Close to shopping, restaurants, beach and bus stop to both St.Tropez and St. Raphael. It was a quiet, friendly location. The restaurant on site was great as was the service.

Review 30:Only a few small negative things, e.g. breakfast OK but the price of 14 EUR is too much, no a/c in childrens' section, no elevator, wall to wall carpet was old.

Review 31:Location, location, location... Best location in Ste Maxime, right in the middle of the old town and within five minutes walk of the beach. Family room had two different sections with children in a bunk bed.

Review 32:if you need to mention something, but is really a little issue: the wifi conection could be better

Review 33:excelent location nice to eat breakfast outside friendly staff, we enjoyed our stay in the "old" hotel. If you don't like the sound of the city, you need to book somewhere else, but know you misses a lot, we loved it.

Review 34:Sleeper couch....duvet available but no cover or sheets...my daughterslept between 2 bare duvets(didn't want to wake up housekeeping atmidnight to get sheets and duvet cover)

Review 35:Junior suite was spacious, lovely modern bathroom, beautiful furnishingand curtains Young lady at reception very helpful and friendly

Review 36:what's not to like? Top location, easy to find, nice room with comfy bed and balcony and the guy on the front desk let me stay an extra hour as I was in bed with a raging hangover - top man

Review 37:Small shower space, no lift.

Review 38:The position of the hotel overlooking the harbour and easy walking into the town and beach. Free wifi and air-conditioning in the bedroom.

Review 39:No tea making facility in room

Review 40:Location and clean comfortable room

Review 41:Really relaxed well informed staff.

Review 42:The hotel was in a great location, close to the beach and the little town with restaurants.

Review 43:Bathroom dated, needs refreshing ( standard room ).

Review 44:Location very convenient, right in the middle of where you want to be. Decent room with aircon.

Review 45:wifi upstairs is not working very well

Review 46:good location and breakfast

Review 47:never ever, small old dirty room

Review 48:Excellent location next to the harbour .

Review 49:rooms are really basic and poor

Review 50:hotel in a good position

Review 51:Personnal was friendly and efficient. Room was nice, enlighted, with nice view.

Review 52:Nice location, building was quaint. YOu could have breakfast on the tables outside the hotel which was pleasant.

Review 53:No lift, poor wifi, room for 4-people is actually room for 3.

Review 54:Excellent location, near port to go to Saint Tropez and nearby city center

Review 55:Limited breakfast selection, no elevators, small rooms

Review 56:Close to the beach

Review 57:No free parking

Review 58:Location, hotel building, helpful staff

Review 59:pergect locaton, comfortable and clean

Review 60:Poor and complicated WiFi system

Review 61:Everything except for WiFi

Review 62:The wifi is poor, we need to reconnect every time with the username and password.

Review 63:The room and bathroom were clean, the staff was friendly. +++

Review 64:No english speaking tv channels such as BBC.

Review 65:Value, staff very helful.

Review 66:No lift:) Car parking in the street.

Review 67:View to Saint-Tropez. Location.

Review 68:nothing

Review 69:The stuff is very friendly. Location of the hotel is very good. The room was very big and clean.

Review 70:nothing.

Review 71:Excellent location, rooms are very well, staff were gentle and reserved.

Review 72:It was so close to port for easy access to the more expensive Saint Tropez.

Review 73:Rude staff very expensive old fashioned only for mature couples

Review 74:Nothing

Review 75:some things in the room looked like they could be fixed. ex: the shower

Review 76:location staff comfortable clean

Review 77:Pricey (but not specific to hotel) - area is not a lot of value for money

Review 78:Location Friendly and helpful staff 2min walk to pier (boat for St Tropez)

Review 79:The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The location and atmosphere are excellent.

Review 80:No parking outside hotel we had to park 15mins walk away! Shower had no holder so we had to stand in the bath and hold it. Wifi kept signing us out.

Review 81:Nice big room, excellent location - pretty much on the port with lots of restaurants nearby. Reasonably priced for a double room.

Review 82:The breakfast buffet was very good. However, I frequently had to look for a member of the staff as both the coffee pot and the thermos for hot milk were too small to cope with the demand. A pot of coffee per table would have been better. The sink in the bathroom was too big for the size of the room. A hook on the back of the door would have been useful. Also, there was no hook on the wall for the shower so it was difficult to have a stand up shower. It would be a better idea not to have a bath but a walk-in shower. This would make the bathroom more spacious.

Review 83:As reflected by my ratings, the staff were very helpful and the location was excellent. The wifi was a little slow.

Review 84:The bathroom didn't have enough supply (minimum was covered).

Review 85:The staff was very helpful and flexible. They helped me change my room and gave me many advice. The location is very very central.

Review 86:- No free parking for customers - Triple room with couple bed - No light in the shower

Review 87:- Free Wi Fi - Location (5min by car to St. Tropez) - Big room - Employers - Amazing view over the Golf of St. Tropez

Review 88:Breakfast i bit expensive so had a nice croissant and Tropezienne around the block.

Review 89:The proximity of the sea and the charm of the hotel. Restaurants close by.

Review 90:The bedroom was small and simple but that was not a problem , howeverthe shower room was lacking both in size and health and safety .

Review 91:For us it was the location with easy boat access to st.Trop. Good choiceat buffet breakfast, although perhaps an inclusive amount would bebetter as 12€ is rather high.

Review 92:It was not sound proofed and you could hear everything from the hallway and you could even hear the front door closing in the middle of the night.

Review 93:It was perfectly located in the middle of the small city and it was a very nice room.

Review 94:On arrival you pay your stay even including extras as breakfast.. Honestly, today also a three stars hotel should have a fridge and a safe in the room. Very simple breakfast and the houskeepers are passing thru the breakfast room with the laundry and trash while guests are having their morning coffe - not very proper.

Review 95:Nice location, next to the church.

Review 96:Looked run down, old furniture, no elevator, not recommended for traveller with many big luggages.

Review 97:Best location, close by the beach surrounded by resto, shops.

Review 98:rooms need renovating and electrical installations in room were very suspicious. No lifts.

Review 99:Very nice location close to town center and easy access. Friendly personnel. Parking conveniently close but was very full.

Review 100:no elevator old bathroom needs refresh

Review 101:quiet AC in the room good stable internet wifi connection great location: just in front of port to St Tropez great room confort: space available, digital tv, great bed..

Review 102:We didn't take breakfast both days, but I still expect promptservice when ordering a coffee in the morning. Seemed understaffed forbreakfast service?

Review 103:Proximity to Sainte-Maxime, friendly and helpful staff. I needed sometips for eating out in Port Grimaud and reception listed 3 restaurantswith phone numbers. Very clean.

Review 104:The loud church bell. To be fair, the hotel did mention this to usbefore booking. However, given its location and price, it was worth it!

Review 105:For a family of 4, the room was perfect! Our two girls had bunk beds ina separate room and we had our own room next door. Beds were verycomfortable. Staff was very accomodating. Location across from harborwas perfect, within walking distance to all shops and and restaurants.

Review 106:This cozy and beatiful hotel is located at an unbelievably cute spot, right at the corner of the old part of the city. Our room was spacious, with a giant double bed.

Review 107:no free parking available & no soundproof windows, so expect the church bells & some street noise in the morning

Review 108:Wonderful little hotel right next to the port of very charming little town Saint Maxime. good value for money if booked in advance. clean, good size room & big bathroom. comfortable bed, would stay there again :)

Review 109:The manageress is not very helpful or in my opinion incompetant. The bed in our room was too large which meant that we couln not use half of the wardrobe or gain access to the room safe. She declined to move us to another room and was full of excuses as to why we could not be moved. even though the hotel was obviously not full. She also never arranged to have sufficient crockery ready for the breakfast. The rest of the staff were however very pleasant and competant.

Review 110:Its situation

Review 111:The room was very basic. Outdated furniture, curtains, carpet,... Thebuilding is old so there is bad isolation, you can hear people on thestreet. And in the morning there is a lot of light. I think a remodelingof the bathroom is necessery. The tub was used and old. I was missing aplugger for my hairdryer. Of course, considering the prices (andlocation) we cannot expect too much. In the end I strongly reccomandwhen you don't want to pay too much and it's close location toSt.Tropez.

Review 112:I choose this hotel for it's excellent location. The two ladies at thereception were very kind and helpful. This was excellent service! Thelocation of the hotel is right in front of the harbour. You can easilytake a boat (every 15min) to Saint Tropez. If you want something closeto St.Tropez, easy to get there and affordable prices, this is great!Just don't expect too much of comfort in the room... Didn't takebreakfast because you have an excellent bakery (La Tarte Tropezienne)just next to the hotel.

Review 113:The awareness of environmental knowledge, the informative hotel guide and the central location, the family room for a family of 4 which is rare to find and finally the efficiency of the hotels procedures to the guests

Review 114:Rather old fashioned and very noisy during the night (rubbishcollection, street cleaning, and rowdy people in the street outside).WiFi is very slow.

Review 115:Perfectly situated near the town centre and the beaches. Close toparking. It has its own restaurant terrace and the fish platter isreally excellent.

Review 116:The standard Rooms looked old, had holes in the wood behind the bed and didn't smell good. --> Suggest the comfort Rooms

Review 117:Superb Location. We booked 3 rooms (2 normal and 1 comfort). The comfort Room was worth every penny it costed more. Very clean bed + bathroom, spacious.

Review 118:I was over the bar which was very noisy - clearly a great party hotel but not so good for someone joining a yacht at 0400 in the morning!

Review 119:Very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable room.

Review 120:Breakfast was not only a rip off but an insult. Never order it there. Goto any nearby cafe, it will be better, cheaper, faster.Don't reserve parking with them - they just give you a card to a public parking open to everyone, you will just lose time to return the card.

Review 121:The room smelled rather much of some kind of cleaner, not so good.

Review 122:A really good location by the harbour and center. It's possible to parkthe car near by.

Review 123:Hotel is a bit expensive because of being the Riviera hotel. Breakfast is too expensive (12 euros). The whole town is rather expensive, but it's cheaper to stay in it than in Saint Tropez. The latter is approximately 15 km away. The sea was extremely cold - in the middle of July! At the same tme the sea in Nice was adorable.

Review 124:Cosy room, staff is very friendly. Wi-fi is for free. Beach is very close to the hotel. In the evening the quay is full of entertainments: musicians, dancers, theater etc.

Review 125:The staff and service at Les Palmiers was excellent. Woke up to the church bells next door every morning and a but noisy from the street if we kept the windows open, but we will definitely come back for our next stay in St. Maxime. Thank you for making our stay so pleasurable.

Review 126:nothing in this category

Review 127:very convenient, handy to shops and beach and boats, ferry to St Tropez. Good atmosphere, some free parking Good in very many respects Good views of sea etc from rooms.

Review 128:The owner was top, always ready to make a pleasant stay for us! Nice people ,great staff! Best location you can get, near to te marina, boat to st tropez. For who doesn t want to spend a lot of mney in a room, its the best! Not a luxury hotel but simple, confortable and Clean!

Review 129:No on-site parking.

Review 130:Location! This Hotel is sublimely located in the heart of Sainte Maxime, next to the water. A quick ferry ride to Saint Tropez!

Review 131:expensive parking if you have a car

Review 132:perfect location, friendly staff, nice hotel

Review 133:Only annoying thing was that the wireless required that you keep logging in

Review 134:Location, kind staff, decent size room

The Fine Print
