Reviews for Citotel Hotel de Provence

Review 1:The conditioning system was not always behaving quite well, and the shower doesn't even have a curtain to prevent water pouring on the bathroom floor. Also, there was no shampooing in the box on the wall, though it was provided in the one-time use packs.

Review 2:The staff was very friendly, the swimming pool small, but refreshing. There was noone swimming when we were there, so we had quite a fun. The breakfast was gorgeous, especially for only 8 euros per person.

Review 3:A little too close to the train station, the train was quite loud when we were out by the pool. A little too far from the town centre.

Review 4:The patio for breakfast was beautiful. Very quaint hotel. Even though they had very limited English, the staff was very helpful.

Review 5:Blisko dworca kolejowego i 15 minut od historycznego centrum. Fantastyczny punkt wypadowy do zwiedzania Avignon i Arles. Pokój z klimatyzacją, Miła obsługa

Review 6:No elevator, I had requested on Bookings.com for a lower room for one of my traveling partners and we all were placed on top floor. Also, it is a 10-minute walk (boring scenery) to city center.

Review 7:Breakfast is one of the best features. Plus the staff was very helpful, carried our luggage up to our room. Single rooms were a bit small, but nicely renovated.Cool at night, so I slept with my window open and wasn't bothered by trains or station noise. Air conditioning is great too! I would stay there again.

Review 8:If your using GPS, for some reason the address doesn't quite get you there. Not sure if it was operator error but I was able to easily locate because it's next to the gare.

Review 9:This is a quaint hotel in Orange. Don't be concerned with the location next to the train station. We hardly heard the trains and it's on a quiet street. Easy walk to the amphitheater. It is a wonderful provincial hotel with an awesome breakfast. The only breakfast on our trip that was worth the surcharge. Dining is in the courtyard which was beautiful. The rooms and hotel was very clean and the wifi connection was excellent in the rooms. The staff was very friendly. A nice family owned feel. Would recommend for couples or families. Out of our two week trip throughout france, this was probably our favorite hotel if you like being less corporate and more local.

Review 10:We stayed to break up the journey to the south coast and chose the hotel on its ability to accommodate a family of four. We were given a suite consisting of a double room with on suite bathroom plus a twin room with basin. These were self contained in our own lockable corridor, so we had our privacy and space. Although we stayed the one night, I'd happily stay for a week and recommend it to others.

Review 11:Nothing in relation to an overnight or short stay. Room a bit small for longer stay.

Review 12:Excellent value for money. Very good breakfast. Clean and well looked after. Great overnighter.

Review 13:Unfortunately we cannot recommend this hotel which was bad value for money. Cargo trains stormed by all night long, and with well-isolated and closed windows they were still extremely loud. The hotel is old and tattered and the pictures on the net do not reflect its general condition nor the real size of the swimming-pool. Our room was rather depressing and needed an urgent renovation.

Review 14:Beddings were fresh and the bathroom was clean with all facilities. Nice lady at reception.

Review 15:nothing.there was only some small problem with hanger of shower but nothing serious.

Review 16:Breakfast was fabulous. Really I didn't have before so good breakfast. Nice atmosphere, nice garden.

Review 17:Not much. One point. We got to the station & asked a taxi driver where the hotel was. He didn't know so he got on phone to a colleague who told him he was facing it. I think you need a Hotel sign facing the Station. As a retired designer I'd say with a bit more attention & not a lot of effort your place could truly be a gem.

Review 18:i was travelling with an old friend & we both thought the place terrific. Fantastic if not the best informative folder about the hotel, town & sevices ever. comfortable room good air conditioning. Breakfast fantastic & set a great standard for others to match.

Review 23:Kind people, nice garden, breakfast, small swimming pool, location, in from of station.

Review 24:Little hotel, not luxurious but clean and confortable. People there was very nice. You can reach the city center in ten minutes walking.

Review 31:Breakfast and good service

Review 32:The thoughtful owners, after learning that we had a small baby with us, came to our room and asked if we would be interested in switching rooms (to a larger, more comfortable room) at no cost. Service was excellent, the owners personally greeted us at breakfast and ensured we were well taken care of. Breakfast was great, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, any kind of coffee you desire.

Review 33:No minibar in the room was inconveniënt for making your own drinks cold.

Review 34:The Nice and coy terrace of the hotel.the Nice small swimming pool. The friendster staff was helpfull and it was a warmte welcome

Review 35:Towels were very clean but looked dingy/grayish; General cleaning of room and bathroom could be a little bit better; Bathroom was tight and toilet area was very narrow; Overall a great little hotel, with excellent staff. Will stay again if I am in the area

Review 36:Excellent helpful staff; helped me carry large suitcase up to second floor since the hotel does not have an elevator; Great location near train station and not too far from center of town; Very quiet area at night; Clean and crisp sheets and bedding; Nice size room with desk, chairs, lighting over bed; air conditioning worked well; Excellent value for period I visited; Nice small swimming pool with lounging area on property; Strong, excellent wifi signal; Very Comfortable mattress on bed; lovely decor within room; Provided a bottle of water and snacks which were refilled during my stay

Review 37:The breakfast was quite mediocre for the 8€ they asked - low quality yogourts, juices/ cheeses and jams found for most French breakfasts

Review 38:Great hotel and welcoming staff made the stay awesome parking is possible right out front and the internet was great as well

Review 39:No lift could be a problem for upper rooms if you have heavy luggage.

Review 40:Hotel with great character, enjoyed breakfast in lovely breakfast room, great selection of meat, cheese, breads and an 'egg cooker'. Owner very pleasant and speaks excellent English.

Review 41:A lovely slightly old style French hotel. Made very welcome. All verycomfortable. Breakfast was a good mixture of traditional with cold meat, cheese or fresh boiled eggs and could be taken inside or on the terrace.Would certainly use the same hotel if we visited Orange again. Veryconvenient for the station and not too far from the centre of the town(bus available from station yard).

Review 42:The hotel is in parts very old and is teetering on the cusp between antique and needing a refit. In our room the bathroom was extremely cramped, however, everything worked well.

Review 43:It was good to find an inexpensive French hotel with a bar, and an outside and inside seating area, when so many are bedrooms and breakfast room only. Staff were very helpful and generally the hotel was very comfortable.

Review 44:Very small room. No elevator. The toilet was a bit smelly and made a tremendous scary noise when flushed.

Review 45:It's an old, clean hotel, near the train station and 10 minutes walk from the town center. Relatively quiet, despite the trains coming through the station. Friendly staff also. A very French place.

Review 46:The room was quite small, but still nice

Review 47:Just next to train station. And short walk to city centre. Staff was friendly and room was airconditioned. There was even a small pool in the hotel.

Review 48:Internet was a bit tricky at times.

Review 49:The atmosphere was relaxed and homey, quite lovely actually. The hotel is across from the train station (great for day trips) and not far from the center of town. The staff is friendly and helpful. The owners made me feel very much at home and by the end of the week became personal friends of mine. I look forward to my return.

Review 50:The staff was very welcoming and helpful, and the room was adequate for a short stay. Good breakfast.

Review 51:Warm and friendly. On the doorstep of beautiful countryside and some history besides.

Review 52:Ideal location for train travellers

Review 53:The Citotel in Orange is located across from the train station and is a15 minute walk to the historic city center.

Review 54:Limited towel racks

Review 55:Big rooms, walk-in shower, modern

Review 56:The hotel is just facing the train station, and parking is free. Staff is nice.

Review 57:A little bit too far from the centre of Orange.

Review 58:Friendly staff.
