Reviews for Lagrange Prestige Les Fermes De Samoens

Review 1:I feel they could have left washing up liquid and cleaning detergent as we had to buy it our self but no other complaints

Review 2:I thought the accommodation was basic but perfect for us as we left to ski early in the morning and return back to make dinner and retire.

Review 3:Road at side of reception needs potholes filling in, rest of roads around site very good. We don't mind but some might, have to clean own apartment at end and have it checked or pay for cleaning.

Review 4:Third time staying here. Lovely quiet location. Accomodation always good. Staff helpful and friendly. Indoor pool small but quiet first thing so lovely swimming on your own and seeing mountains all around, both summer and winter.

Review 5:Lock on the pool toilet was broken

Review 6:Pool was small and popular - very useful for entertaining small children. We had a larger 3 bed appartment and it worked really well. Sheets and Towels were all included. Only thing missing was a kettle (there was a coffee pot) and you had to borrow a vacuum cleaner

Review 7:Beds hard, pillows lumpy, shower room smells, lack of cleaning equipment and products. Shouldn't have to go out and buy dish washer tabs and liquid when on holiday, alps accommodation provide it all (included in the price.) Reception staff quite rude when approached about a problem.

Review 8:Location good, ski lift bus stop is just at reception. pool was small but road for the kids to play in. Communal area is nice and clean.

Review 9:Kitchen andThe accommodation is not as comfortable or as welcoming as the website photos suggest. Living area very small. The pullout bed was ok for a small kid but not very good for adult

Review 10:Location was great and staff were friendly and helpful. Apartment was a 1 minute walk from the ski bus stop. Sameons is a pleasant and original village

Review 11:Apartment small, cramped and dark. Very poor lighting, and little windows. Gloomy brown-wood decor, looked cheap. Noisy stairs. V small poorly equipped, badly lit kitchen. Tiny pool - charge for sauna. Not very warm.

Review 12:Free covered car space. Bread delivery (except last day (!))

Review 13:Pillows were uncomfortable and the chalet could have done with a cooker. Difficult to cook for 9 with a microwave.

Review 14:Chalet was lovely and warm and welcoming.

Review 15:Common area only available till 8pm, swimming pool only available 5h a day in times when most people are on the slopes. Had to make our own bed after long journey from UAE, beds were small, old, and uncomfortable. Old furniture, dirty steamer, no kettle or microwave. Not enough hangers, hooks and shelves for 4 people.

Review 16:Own kitchen area was handy. The 2 seperate sleeping areas for us and the kids were essential. It was nice and worm inside and plenty of warm water to shower family of 4. Ski lokers by front door where convinient.

Review 17:Decor was quite tired/dated considering complex is not that old, kitchen equipment was very basic and poor quality, eg no sharp knife or any basics for cleaning, eg sponge/ dishcloth/dishwasher tablet/ washing up liquid. If you drink tea, bring your own kettle. Wifi worked 5 days out of 6. The pullout bed was ok for a small kid but not very good for adults.

Review 18:Location was great and staff were friendly and helpful. Apartment was spacious for family of 4. Skibuses frequent and slopes not too busy. The staff were well organised and skilockers and parking was close to apartment.

Review 19:Paid Wifi was expensive (24 euros for 1 week) and had very intermittent performance. Paid end-of-stay cleaning was rather expensive (80 Euros) considering it did not include making beds, defrosting fridge, emptying dishwasher, etc.

Review 20:Conveniently located on edge of Samoens village. Ski bus passes in front of property every 15 minutes. Only a short walk into the village for shops, restaurants, etc. Checkout was hassle-free.

Review 21:It would have been nice to have a kettle. Maybe it would be good to have a communal store where guests could take their left over loo roll, salt and pepper, washing up liquid etc, instead of having to dispose of it which is a waste.

Review 22:It was clean, nicely decorated, warm and cozy and very spacious for the two of us.

Review 23:Cool small pool. The cleaning system is you get it how it was left. Even if you pay 80eur to get it cleaned for you, you must still clean the kitchen.

Review 24:Safe for the kids to play outside and the skibus stop is very close

Review 25:Would be cosy for 6, for 3/4 just great. Kitchen basic, fridge &dishwasher but no kettle, just a microwave. Bring some toilet paper.Checkout has to be within restricted reception hours.

Review 26:It is as described. Bread available at reception in the morning, villageclose. A quiet location with good parking. Good wifi, but charge is Euro4.90 /day.

Review 27:The check-in and out process wasn't particularly smooth and took some time

Review 28:The size of the accommodation and cleanliness

Review 29:Very unfriendly reception staff. Reception and facilities open only morning and evening.

Review 30:Frequent bus connection to Grand Massif Express.

Review 31:Wifi was not good and a complete waste of money.

Review 32:Situated in a lovely village with easy access to ski slopes

Review 33:The accommodation is not as comfortable or as welcoming as the website photos suggest.

Review 34:Friendly staff, excellent location next to nature and 2 min drive from ski lift. Clean, appartments are cozy and spacious enough for a week stay.

Review 35:Lack of wardrobe space.

Review 36:Location was great. Ski bus was so reliable. Really enjoyed our stay.

Review 37:Only one toilet in apartment. Kitchen and living area very small. More crockery/cutlery needed. Swimming pool very small.

Review 38:Quiet location. Good steam room, sauna, games room. Great eating out area in front of chalet. Lovely village.

Review 39:Small ski resort. Not for the experienced. Check out was very slow - had to leave without deposit even after cleaning room - and having it checked (that was late too)! Not impressed at all - had tunnel crossing to get.

Review 40:Good sized apartment that actually would sleep 10 - we went with 7. Allocated parking. Quiet. Nice friendly small village.

Review 41:Pool was out of order for our stay. Despite many empty suites on the ground floors we were on the second floor which meant we had to use the lift whenever we came in and out(as we had a disabled friend travelling with us, although in fairness we did not make this known)

Review 42:The accomodation was plenty for the three of us (sleeps 6 room) was clean and well laid out.

Review 43:Staff zero customer service Charged Euro 20 for Wifi despite booking.comconfirmation saying free wifi. Wifi only in Reception not in apartment. No bread delivery at the weekend Pool very small Distance from theVillage you need a car for groceries etc

Review 44:Ski bus outside

Review 45:Swimming pool is really small. No internet available in the appartments, only at the reception.

Review 46:Nice appartment (not the usually tiny appartments you tend to find in French ski-resorts) located near an authentic village and with good connections to the slopes. Very helpfull staff: after an initial hick-up with the reservation, a good solution was found and we were pampered for he rest of our stay (not sure if the pampering was linked with the initial hick-up, though).

Review 47:Chalet too small for 10 adults, we were 9 and it was already difficult to fit 9 people around the table for breakfast/dinner Ktichen too small

Review 48:Close to skibus close to center I would recommend but max 8 people in chalet for 10.

Review 49:Booking in was a nightmare communication about payment (our payment wastaken twice)and about parking was poor. You didnt take advantage of earlyarrivals .all the paperwork could have been sorted before the mad scrum.I appreciate the rooms may not be ready. You could just have keycollection for those who had already done the paperwork.

Review 50:Village ,skiing and snow were fantastic.

Review 51:Line on check-in was 3 hours! In most queues are everywhere: in the settlement, the laundry room, a restaurant, a pizzeria, on a ski lift. Infrastructure for the new year is overloaded and unable to cope. Perhaps not in the holidays will be better better. Internet is very slow or does not work at all! They sold us internet in the lobby for 20 euro/week, but you can use it only when the lobby is open!? (4 hours in early morning, 4 hours in early evening). Complex is located in far side of the town. Sauna is paid (in 4 star apartment?? Are you joking?). Pool is very small. only for children. Very poor soundproofing! You will be aware of any step of your neighbor. If you are lucky enough to live on the first floor, each relief neighbors you will enjoy pleasant sounds of Niagara Falls. In general, it does not pull a 4 star. This is a 2 star at most.

Review 52:Stuff was polite

Review 53:Cramped Basic One loo for 8 Poor facilities One hour wait at reception to book in and leave Would not stay again even at half the price Felt cramped for 6 never mind the 8 it was quoted as sleeping Not even washing up liquid or a dishcloth Worst rent I have ever had in 22 years

Review 54:Nothing !

Review 55:2 hours to check in at a very busy time of the season, did not get theweek off to a good start!!!!Booking.com informed me on my booking confirmation that free wi fi was available, this was not the case, it was available at a cost of 20 euro's for the week. Please ensure that you advertise the correct details for the hotels etc on your website.

Review 56:Very good location, not far from the centre of town

Review 57:The check in was stated in our documentation as - check in between 4-8pmat reception. Thus we arrived at approx 5pm, but there was a longqueue. So went away and came back to the reception at 6.30pm. Still along queue. We then queued until 8.15pm until we eventually received ourkeys. With 3 under 5's this was very difficult and very stressful. My husband and I had to tag team with the little ones in the car (andcold!). I have never experienced such a poor check in service - ever !Very poor service. The accommadation was not particularly sparklingclean, and you could tell no-one had cleaned under the beds or aroundfurntiture for a long while,.. And with a baby crawling around the floor- this wasnt great. On checking out (you had to pre book a 'checkingout review of the apartment' up front), a girl came to the apartmentto look around. She asked us to take the travel cot and highchair to thereception. (I had already asked at reception where to put them - and waspreviously told to leave them by the door of the apartment). Havingalready packed the car full - this was not something I would evenentertain. All in all - I would not stay at this particularaccommadation again. The service from reception was poor beyond belief.

Review 58:Check in takes place from 5-8pm for all and took over 1.5 hours. There was one large mass of people trying to queue and this made for an unpleasant/aggressive atmosphere to begin your holiday. Very inflexible and inappropriate when most had travelled all day with children and need to access rooms - all this needed was to allow check in over a larger period of time which does not seem a large issue given that it only operates this on one day a week. You indicated wi-fi was free. The hotel would not accept this and charged 20 euros. If this is incorrect can you please arrange a refund. Would ask for more UK based english TV channels - every other nation seemed to be covered but the UK. .

Review 59:Large rooms and pleasant place to stay. Was skiing so did not really use the facilities but self catering was fine and did the job once checked in.

Review 60:The rooms weren`t like the picture on the internet It was like staying in an appartment block The balcony didn`t get sun all day Pillows provided were awful...bring your own The pool wasn`t attached to the buiding, you had to put on boots and jacket to go and it (the pool) was tiny and always too crowded

Review 61:Close to ski hills with ski-bus service from hotel

Review 62:The whole chalet was grubby, probably had not been cleaned properly for weeks!!

Review 63:The location was excellent

Review 64:Apartment was a 1 minute walk from the ski bus stop. Good value accommodation.

Review 65:Mattress seemed very warm in the bed, found it hard to sleep.

Review 66:Friendly and cosy

Review 67:Sound insulation is very poor.

Review 68:Friendly staff. Good quality accommodation. Beautiful setting. Near ski bus stop. Very clean.

Review 69:cleaning charges extra costs for internet extra cost for sauna/pool

Review 70:Basic but value for money

Review 71:Tiny studio with dreadful pull out bed which effectively meant sleeping on the floor.

Review 72:Sameons is a pleasant and original village/town
