Reviews for Number One
Review 1:I would have liked a nice set of toiletries, shower gel etc.. Not half opened ones. But I'm all for recycling!!
Review 2:Excellent stay. The bed was soo comfey with lovely bedding and pillows.
Review 3:Shower in shared bathroom very poor; but I was told about this when checking in (temporary fault)
Review 4:Good breakfast choice, large room with very comfortable king bed
Review 5:Warm welcome; cosy but spacious en-suite bedroom with all needs catered for. I felt privileged to share Neil and Sarah's beatutiful home which symbolises their personalities. Very relaxed atmosphere. Excellent breakfast- I felt like a VIP!
Review 6:Very warm and friendly reception. We, including our cocker spaniel, were made to feel very much at home by Neil and Sarah. We were provided off road parking in an area where parking space very limited. Our room was comfortable with lovely creative features. Fresh milk provided for the tea tray. The breakfast was excellent with fresh berries and other fruit for starters followed by a range of cooked items to choose from and we were able to choose the time we had it each day.
Review 7:It was excellent. There was a warm welcome on arrival. Everything was spotlessly clean with a washbasin and tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The breakfast was a real full English breakfast wonderfully cooked. Nothing was too much trouble. Superb value for money.
Review 8:All was great!
Review 9:Stayed here two nights. Neil and Sarah were superb hosts, who go aboveand beyond for their guests. Before arriving Neil was in touch with metrying to help me find accommodation somewhere for the night of ourarrival (as he was fully booked). We had booked Number One for oursecond night. We were unable to find a place to stay and Neil kindlyopened up a private room and let us stay there for the night (evenshowing us his private bathroom facilities for us to use). Not manypeople would go to this extent to help out two strangers. We felt rightat home in this B&B. We loved the feeling of being right in Neil andSarah's home. Breakfast was delicious. Superb location!!! Very closeto main street. A big thank you to these two wonderful hosts.
Review 10:This is a delightful house in a delightful , quiet corner of a delightful town. The hosts are charming and the breakfasts delicious. This was my second stay here and I shall certainly be back next year.
Review 11:Shower was a little weak.
Review 12:Neil and Sarah are excellent hosts and are very warm and welcoming. Cooked breakfast was delicious with quality ingredients used. The B&B was literally 3 minutes walk from the town centre, very handy indeed. Lovely house with lots of character.
Review 13:We had a very short visit and it was a shame we couldn't stay for longer but it was a super place. Sarah was a wonderful host and cooked the most delicious breakfast. The house was very homely and it really did feel like we were stopping with family. I was in love with the amazing selection of books in the breakfast room.

Review 16:None really - although parking for all in the area is no fun!!
Review 17:Being so close to the town but also enjoying the owners' experiences in the theatre in both Beverley and Hull. An excellent breakfast also set us up for the day.

Review 22:the proprietors could not have been any more welcoming. Nothing was any trouble for them at all during our stay. Old property with lots of character, but made to be very comfortable.
Review 23:This is a house full of character in the quietest location imaginable, with very interesting hosts. We had a night of absolute luxury followed by an exquisite breakfast served in regal splendour beside a log fire. The evening before, we ate a very special meal in a pub just round the corner.
Review 24:Nothing really. First time we have ever had a shared breakfast table with the other guests. A little strained at times!
Review 25:Wonderful hospitality. Beautiful house. Relaxed atmosphere. Lovely room. Perfect location. Good breakfast. Good value.Stay here!
Review 26:The parking is very limited. There are residents' spaces in the street with a permit (available from the guest house) but it's really a matter of luck as to whether you get a space. The guest house has space for a couple of cars but it's up a narrow lane with a tight turn through double gates. Only just managed it with a VW Touran. Not recommended for inexperienced or nervous parkers, or those with big cars!

Review 86:My husband likes his kippers on the bone. The shower could have been a bit more powerful.

Review 92:Like all B & Bs it had its unique and quirky charm quite different from chain hotels- you'll either be someone who loves that - or not! The hosts were welcoming and friendly and provided some nice little touches. It certainly gets my vote for best cup of tea in a bedroom! Terrific location between the town and the Westwood. Very comfy beds. Great cooked breakfast.

Review 97:The Hosts are very welcoming. Our family stayed at the hotel as we had a family wedding to attend near Beverley. Mr and Mrs King could not have been more helpful to us, as they speak excellent French which was a great relif as our English is limited. We found the decor magnificent, the rooms of this beautiful edwardian house, very cosy..the breakfast plentiful. We can only strongly recommend this superb guest house to our friends.
