Reviews for Camping Port'Land

Review 1:WOW! Absolutely great! Facilities (heated swimming pool, playground for children, restaurant, bar, etc.) Friendly and effective staff. We were in the Luxe cottage that was fully equipped and very comfortable.

Review 2:Need to bring your own chopping board and no oven in our 'van, local sandy beaches not always accessible due to tides.

Review 3:Ideal location for D-day museums, campsite is excellent for families. We stayed in one of the fixed homes but also ideal for campers/caravans with large plots compared to other campsites. Staff very friendly and facilities excellent. Spacious outdoor environment without overcrowded feel

Review 4:Wifi all over the site even if we needed to pay for it. A BBQ would have also been good at the side of the caravan

Review 5:Very private plot. With good facilities.

Review 6:No oven in accommodation.

Review 7:On site pizza kiosk. Location close to town. Not overcrowded.

Review 8:Brilliant facilities, excellent location, friendly staff who couldn't do enough to help. Kids loved the kids club too

Review 9:I think that a small oven can be useful.

Review 10:The resort was super clean, the facilities are brilliant and the staff were excellent! A real pleasure.

Review 11:Landscaping and privacy around lake view from chalet

Review 12:Beds aren't fantastic and have to pay extra for sheets, cleaning fee.

Review 13:Kids loved the bouncy castle, poor, and feeding ducks in ponds. Short walk to town. Staff was very friendly and good food available on site.

Review 14:Speedos only for the pool. My kids were very disappointed to not be able to go to the pool.

Review 15:The place is in a good location to visit all of the sites. It was clean and functional with all of the items needed. Web stayed there with a 3 and 6 year olds with no issues. One minor issue was that boys could not go to the pool with swim shorts. There is an option to buy speedos, however my kids did not want to wear them because they compared them to underwear. This was a trivial rule considering the majority of the people staying there were American and we don't wear speedos. The staff were nice and helpful. I would stay here again.

Review 16:very convenient location to sights in Normandy. Excellent place to stay. Great restaurant on site that served wonderful food. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly.

Review 17:The hot water did not last four showers.

Review 18:this is well appointed camp site. We had a two bedroom cottage and found there was plenty of room for us all. the outdoor areas are great for children - pool, play ground with bouncy castle and ponds. The receptionist was very helpful.

Review 19:The location is beautiful and close to many museums, Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery. The Marina is also very close and a nice place to eat and relax. The staff was very welcoming and even made exceptions for my kids to swim after hours. Since we were out all day sightseeing. Just ask and they are ready to please or help you. The bread service was awesome!! Everyone spoke English and were helpful. Thanks for a great stay!

Review 20:The beds were lumpy and small. The couch bed was impossibly uncomfortable. I would not recommend this for anyone other than a small child.

Review 21:The indoor pool and restaurant were nice.

Review 22:I honestly can't think of anything. The small house took a couple hours to maneuver and get comfortable in for 6 people, but soon became a GREAT family time for all of us.

Review 23:The staff were great and always kind. We stayed in a house for a few days and then camped in a tent for a weekend with the Boy Scouts. Even with a couple thousand people and lots of rain and even some minor flooding of the tents, they kept their kind serving attitude. The location was great and so very close to all the DDay sites, and something we discovered on our travels - the Cider farms! It wasn't a hard trip to Mont St Michel either - a day trip only. Even with some stops at a couple cider farms along the way home, we were home before dinner.

Review 24:The gates to drive out don't open until 0800 so if you want to get an early start you need to park outside the gates and walk in. Not really that big of a deal though. They do that to keep the noise down in the morning so it's not really a complaint, just something to be aware of.

Review 25:The campground is beautiful. The staff was pleasant and a lot of fun. The family that runs it were wonderful. The indoor pool was clean and surprisingly big. There is also an outdoor pool but it wasn't open when we stayed as the weather was still too cold. The campground is centrally located from most of the sites in Normandy so we were easily able to travel around to see all the sites. The kids also enjoyed the child's play area. We'll definitely stay here again if we ever make it back to Normandy. I can't recommend it highly enough!,,

Review 26:In door pool wasn't actually "that" heated/warm & the changing facilites were rather small with no shower or much space to dress - especially with children. Would've been nice to have had a few mugs (not just tea cups) Mobile home a bit smaller than anticipated - but it worked for us, a family of 6!

Review 27:Friendly accomodating staff; cozy mobile home that was v well equipped. REALLY appreciated the bin bags, toilet paper & mattress covers in place - great idea! Liked being able to park just outside home & not having to leave car in public parking. Also enjoyed fresh baguette order. Children loved the play park with bouncy castle. Great use of space.

Review 28:The bed was unfortunately a little uncomfortable and a shame as we had the deluxe accommodation and everything else was great all new looking and clean.

Review 29:The staff were excellent and made us very welcome after a difficult journey it made all the difference, in particular Piere a young man who worked in the bar and restaurant was fantastic. Made us feel that we would return in the future

Review 30:facilities, location, and staff. Food was great at the campground restaurant and the nearby town (5min drive) has a full service supermarket. so, we liked everything. The daily bread order at the front desk is something that everyone should take advantage of!

Review 31:It was the wrong time of year to stay at the campsite. My son used the indoor heated pool which was very cold, we were told we could not use the jaccuzi. The bar and restaurant was closed at 10pm prompt. And we had to pay around 45 euros for bed sheets and a towel, for 3 days use. We could have stayed in a Hotel for less money.

Review 32:We loved it :)

Review 33:Friendly, helpful staff.

Review 34:Weather

Review 35:Fantastic place to stay with the children, lots of activities, we all loved it

Review 36:Location is superb. The site is well designed and equipped. The harbour village at the bottom of the cliff has excellent shops and restaurants.

Review 37:Need more activities for children, not much.

Review 38:The accommodation and the staff
