Reviews for The Tudor Rose Hotel

Review 1:There is no parking at the hotel although the helpful manager can sell you a local parking voucher. The shower is very tiny and a normal sized adult will find it a tight fit.

Review 2:The manager was helpful and let us check in early to be ready for a wedding at the Minster. The hotel is just a very short walk to the Minster and is ideally located for walking around Beverly.

Review 3:The friendly welcome and help to find places Good breakfast! Cosy room pleasant atmosphere! Beverly is a lovely place more time could have been spent to explore!

Review 4:The only problem I had with the entire stay was the location on the tv. Being or the wall at the pillow end of the bed made for uncomfortable watching. Would suggest moving to other end of room so laying in bed and comfortably watching television.

Review 5:Good breakfast!

Review 6:The accommodation was very nice but it was the owners that really made the best impression. They were genuinely very nice and were very complimentary to my children. I would recommend to anyone visiting Beverley. The location is excellent.

Review 7:Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room had every thing we needed and was very clean. Coffee at breakfast was freshly made and very good quality. Good choice of food at breakfast.

Review 8:Very friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Good location for our purposes - enjoyed visiting Beverley. Excellent coffee at breafast - much better than some more pretentious hotels manage.

Review 9:Not really, it could have been nice if there had been two chairs in the room.

Review 10:Friendly owners. Spacious bathroom. Quiet room. Good breakfast, good coffee. Central location: railway station and Minster just a few minutes walk.

Review 11:En suite a little tired looking. Windows hard to open.

Review 12:Had a nice friendly smooth check in. Relaxed atmosphere at breakfast. Nothing seemed to much trouble. Lovely family run establishment. Room comfortable.

Review 13:Excellent location, car parking via a permit close by. Very friendly welcome. Room was lovely and the bed was super comfy! Breakfast excellent! Would recommend.

Review 14:Very cramped, lots of stairs, very small crowded rooms and in my room a shower that needed an acrobat to get in and out of. Couldn't use toilet without banging head on sloping wall.

Review 15:Very nice helpful people.

Review 16:Caroline and her husband made us so welcolme, the food is very nice, especially the full English . There is plenty of other choices from cereals to fresh fruit.coffee is first class. We didn't eat in the evening as we came back very late but am sure it would be nice.

Review 17:Didn't serve breakfast until 8.30 at the weekend Room (and bathroom especially) very cold even with plug in heater Staff unable to book me a taxi for 9am on a Sunday but I wasn't informed until timing was critical, not a good start to a working day.

Review 18:You don't control the heating in your room and when it went off the room was a little cold, the internet signal is very intermittent and the shower could be better.

Review 19:Staff very friendly, approachable, room was comfortable. very attentive at breakfast and the scrambled egg was very good as was the coffee. It was a good location for my meeting.

Review 20:The staff were totally on the case when I rang, clearly expecting us. Warm cheerful welcome when we arrived. My room was lovely, bed comfortable, shower hot, breakfast plentiful, coffee good. No downside for me.

Review 21:No bad points on our visit.

Review 22:Lovely family run hotel in beautiful town. Caroline welcomed us and sorted out the parking. Easy to find parking , even though Wednesday market was on. Beautiful quiet room with extremely comfortable feather -topped bed and good sized newly refurbished en suite. Caroline recommended a good Indian restaurant in town. Breakfast was good and service quick. Checkout straightforward. Would definitely stay again.

Review 23:The place smelt musty as we were shown to our rooms. Towels had black marks on them. Had to pay £3.00 for the parking permitt

Review 24:Wifi was good breakfast ok located in the centre of Beverly

Review 25:Room needs updating (but owner told us that revamp work was starting the day after we left).

Review 26:Good location...little noise for a town centre at a week-end, friendliness of staff, very comfortable bed, and great breakfasts.

Review 27:The whole stay was very relaxing and the breakfast was of very good quality. Had everything that we needed in the room which looked out over the Wednesday Market place.

Review 28:Dusty furniture 1 dirty teacup Forgot to clean the room and redo the bed on one occasion

Review 29:Warm welcome and quality of service. Brilliant location Comfortable bed

Review 30:Lock on room was strange. Couldn't get it to lock the first night, athough the key turned. Managed to get it work by pushing the bar in and sometimes having to turn the key a few times. Also information in room was sparse and had to ask for wifi code.

Review 31:Room comfortable but only just big enough for a double.

Review 32:This is a tired property in need of renovation and updating of its rooms. Parking is available, but needs to be sorted on arrival. I requested information prior to my arrival but received none. I would choose a different accomodation next time.

Review 33:The owner and staff were pleasant and accomodating, especially when I wished to change my room, and the location in this interesting and attractive town is excellent.

Review 34:Internet access and problems with t v freezing at times. Also could do with a little more food choice in restaurant particularly for vegetarians.

Review 35:The fact that it was a small family run hotel which was clean and comfortable. Staff were really pleasant and friendly.

Review 36:Beverley town centre was pretty lively/noisy on a Sat night but this was expected (and nothing to do the hotel of course!)

Review 37:A warm and friendly reception and was checked in without delay which I appreciated so I could shower and feel human again after the heat and dust of the 48mile ride. Kind offer to store my bike securely in the back yard was gratefully accepted (new bike due to theft the previous week). I rendezvoused with my party at the Cornerhouse and ate at the Rose & Crown so can't comment on what looked an interesting meal menu. Comfortable, functional room and good breakfast the following morning. Thank you Caroline for efficient but caring service.
