Reviews for The Joys of Life Country Park

Review 1:The proprietor was unfailingly pleasant and helpful but just let us enjoy the holiday. We could not have asked for a more comfortable stay with everything we needed.

Review 2:The room I booked was lovely and clean, facilities easily accessible. Staff extremly friendly and helpful and breakfast was fantastic. Accommodation and surrounding area was better than i expected with shops and sights close by if you wanted a look around.

Review 3:Nothing to dislike

Review 4:On arrival I had the warmest of welcome. The building is astonishing with really modern features yet holding the character of its original build within the stone and woodwork. The room was comfortably warm, with a good size tv and plenty of space to relax. The lounge area was great to relax during the evening and being allowed to use the dining and kitchen facilities during the evening was a bonus.

Review 5:Initially would suggest less friendly to business workers as the rooms do not contain tables, but the owner was very quick to provide one when I made the suggestion.

Review 6:A beautiful setting with lovely landscaped gardens, right by the mountains with lots of walking. Close to Bangor (about 7.5 miles) where I was working. The staff are really friendly, breakfast nice, great facilities (lounge, table tennis) and very reliable and fast wifi. Very clean and nice rooms.

Review 7:We were only there for the one night after traveling to zip world and wish we could have stayed longer! Gorgeous grounds, beautiful room and lovely staff. Would highly recommend!

Review 8:The Joys of Life is Very quiet in the evenings, leading to a good nights sleep. it is set in fantastic surroundings the accommodation is to a very high standard and all the facilities we required were there ready for use the owners were very friendly and very pleasant and very friendly nothing was too much trouble for them and if you had a problem I am sure they would help in any way they could. Breakfast was also very good lots of choice and enough to eat, food was well cooked and well presented. we enjoyed our stay so much we are already planning a much longer stay next year as the area is very close to the mountains and other local attractions. Wendy the owner advised us of the best local places to eat in the evening and I have to say her recommendation of the Boatyard Inn in Bangor was perfect the food was good and not too expensive. Highly recommended

Review 9:Friendly welcome with excellent room and breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble, we were offered a drink on arrival and my partner asked for a de-caff coffee, unfortunately Wendy had run out, this wasn't a problem but within half an hour there was a jar in the room and another one in the kitchen ready for breakfast! What large hotel would even try to compete with that! We had picked this hotel due to it's proximity to Zip World and it was a very good choice.

Review 10:The owner was lovely and the room was very clean and nice. The breakfast was good and we were able to go out after check out and come back and use the facilities which was great. I would recommend this accommodation. It was really close to the zip wire which was fantastic. A lovely place to stay.

Review 56:Throughout each year I travel the Welsh countryside 3 – 4 times to hit the mountain walks and I will certainly stay here again. The Joys of Life must rank the highest of all places I have stayed within Wales. The attention to detail from the initial booking to the layout of the room was to a very high standard. Wendy was always efficiently available when something was requested. The breakfast was laid out with many options to choose from fresh strawberries to a greasy fry up!! It’s very nice to see the owner provide so much effort into making the stay so pleasant in such beautiful countryside.
