Review 1：Smoke... although the rooms are supposed to be non-smoking, the previous guest smoked and the room reeked of smoke.

Review 3：if you plan to sleep till late morning, then you're gonna hear the noise of the staff cleaning and working.. we were always waking up early and going out.. except for one day where we needed to sleep because we had a long night before.. and that wasn't very comfortable! the breakfast is not very rich.. you could have the same breakfast from the many bakeries around you with cheaper cost!
Review 4：The location is good, although it's far from the center of paris, but we never had problems reaching anywhere we wanted because of it's close distance to the metro and bus stations.
Review 5：noise travels a long way in this old building, breakfast wasn't that delicious. but to sum it all up, compared to other hotels in Paris, the price is quite fair.

Review 7：I would not call this place quite well noice-isolated: everything happening in the corridor you can hear (and possibly vise-versa). One more thing: there must be at least one English speaking person at any time (although the absence of such person was not tremendous problem.

Review 10：Very clean rooms. Good location (SW Paris). 2 minutes to Metro. The hotel caretaker (the young French gentleman, sorry didn't get his name), is meticulous about every aspect of job. You must order breakfast and appreciate the attention to detail and etiquette, -even in the making an aromatic cup of coffee. That cherished experience you will not get by staying in a brand name chain hotel.

Review 13：Although I was in a quiet room at the back, (which was small but adequate) and away from the sound of traffic, when other residents came in throughout the night, it was shockingly loud,(at 4am the second time) and that wasn't very pleasant. Perhaps the owner can request that the residents might consider others when they come in late. We're not all in Paris to enjoy the nightlife.

Review 17：The maid could have been more thorough (toilet paper ran out and new one wasn't provided, towels that were thrown on the floor - international sign for "please, I need new one" - were hung up over the door to dry and no new ones were provided) and they really have to do something about the heating! It wasn't working properly, so it was freezing cold in the evening. This was made worse by the maid leaving the window wide open at 4°C temperature.

Review 25：Overall atmosphere a bit dreary due to lack of any decoration, dim lights. Blanket / pillow very simple, making bed a bit uncomfortable. Some staff members spoke no (I mean zero) English and I am not a native speaker myself but expect a minimum level in a European capital hotel. However, they were still helpful and with the help of a dictionary we figured things out.

Review 38：The staff doesn't speak English very well. Had some trouble there. But they were polite and tried. The main issue I want to raise is cleanliness. They didn't change our towels. Luckily we brought our own. The cleaning staff doesn't clean the room well. Once she hung the door mat on the table to dry, I found that disgusting.
Review 39：The location is very good. Its just 5 minutes walk from the Mairie de Montrouge metro station. From there you can reach all attractions very easily. There are bus stations close by as well. We were given keys to the door so we could come in late night. This was most helpful as the return trip from Paris Disneyland usually passes midnight (if you want to see the fireworks!). The staff members are very polite and helpful. The place has a restaurant on the ground floor. I don't recommend it as the food is very basic, but its cheap. We tried it once and then decided to pick some other restaurant. Summary: The best thing about this hotel is the location.
