Reviews for Dunroamin Bed & Breakfast

Review 1:Wish we could have stayed longer !!

Review 2:Perfect accommodation for a weekend at Loch Lomond, including a great breakfast in preparation for Ben Lomond ! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to family/friends

Review 3:Nothing

Review 4:The breakfast facilities were great and a very friendly and helpful atmosphere was always present. Plenty of hot water whether it be morning or night

Review 5:The room didn't have a key so we had to bring valuables like tablets with us most of the time. It is not a matter of not trusting the owners but there are other guests that we don't know who could easily have gone into our room while we are out for the day. Hot water failed us on the second day but they managed to restore it the next day.

Review 6:The king size bed and clean facilities were a big plus.

Review 7:This is a beautiful bed and breakfast. The best that we have ever been.VERY modern and comfortable.VERY nice welcoming owners. Situated in beautiful surroundings.

Review 8:It's only fault is not being walking distance from a pub.

Review 9:Everything was excellent and fantastic value for money. A really comfortable and relaxing place to staty.

Review 10:Very nice people - flexible when it got to some changes of the stay. It was possible to reach them and talk to them. Clean and quiet place, beautifully decorated.

Review 11:nothing

Review 12:we liked everything!best b+b we've stopped in by a mile! we had the appartment and it was absolutley brill! 10 out of 10 would/will go back again

Review 13:You need a car to get around or visit places. The nearest village with a pub or restaurant is a 45 minute walk.

Review 14:Excellent facilities, good cooked breakfast in the morning. Good location for exploring by car.

Review 15:No iron to use although Madeline did offer to use her press for me.

Review 16:Modern design room and bathroom with a walk in shower. It has the biggest bed I have ever slept in. Very clean and tidy.

Review 17:It would be challenging to stay here if you don't have a car as it didn't appear to be near any kind of public transport. We didn't mind driving about 15-20 minutes to a nearby village for dinner, but do factor that in if selecting this B&B.

Review 18:As a party of four adults, we were fortunate to stay in the two rooms of this charming B&B run by the lovely Madeline, a local from the area yet had worked for Hilton in the USA for about 18 years. Clearly her expertise from the hotel business translates to a well-run and comfortable stay in her B&B in the lovely Scottish countryside. It is a perfect place for a party of four to rent the two rooms as we did. Check-in is between 5-7pm and payment is in cash. Plenty of parking in the front of the home and the two B&B rooms are on the ground floor for easy access with luggage or for those with more limited mobility with the breakfast room just across the hall from the guest rooms. As the B&B is in a modern, purpose-built home, there is plenty of room in the guest rooms with a comfortable, king-sized bed and lovely linens. All the furniture matched the linens with a lovely Scottish tartan pattern. The bathroom had a walk-in shower, heated floors as well as a towel warmer. We appreciated the other thoughtful touches in the room such as nightstands that matched the linens, comfortable chairs, kettle and tea, cotton buds, an alarm clock with an iPod dock, built-in closets with a full length mirror, etc. Not to mention, we "city folk" enjoyed the views of sheep grazing in a field across the way from the B&B yet we still had free wifi (albeit a bit slow) to connect to the outside world and the TV had a range of cable channels as well. Breakfast was made-to-order for us. We had a hot breakfast but were able to have cereals, toast, juices, coffee/tea, etc. Just delightful! We were sad to leave so I would recommend staying for more than one night if possible.

Review 19:We arrived with a toddler who had just been sick, but the landlady helped us without flinching, provided milk for the little one's night bottle and was generally lovely and kind. The breakfast was made to order and wasmoutstanding in a lovely dining room. It's an isolated spot, but the views are great. The standard of the accomodation for the price is fantastic. If you're in the area and need a bed, STAY HERE!

Review 20:We stayed for one night while travelling up to Mull. We had to find accomodation for the journey up due to ferry strike delaying our ferry crossing by a day. Very clean and comfy rooms. Excellent value for money. Great breakfast cooked to our individual tastes. Made our impromptu stop-over very enjoyable!

Review 21:We loved our short stay in this beautiful b&b. The room was so comfortable and unfussy with a huge bed and pristine bedding. The comfort of underfloor heating on the bathroom tiles was an unexpected pleasure. It has all been done to a very high standard.. Excellent breakfast too!

Review 22:Bed was very firm.

Review 26:Absolutely fantastic place to stay with stunning views all around. Hosts are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast great and room large and comfortable. Would recommend to anyone wanting to explore Loch Lomond and Glasgow.

Review 27:thought about staying a second night but didn't, should have. If wifi was available we were not provided with the codes

Review 28:Modern accommodation and facilities, fantastic location and handy to Loch Lomund and surrounding pubs. The hostess and her daughter were lovely and helpful. Off street parking and beautiful views, great breakfast

Review 29:pity that we only stay for one night ...would love to be back for a longer stay.

Review 30:Homely Great Quality Rooms and shower Friendly Host Ease of access over all a best wonderful please to say.

Review 31:The staff had no manners, did not make you feel welcome at all. The house is in the middle of nowhere there is absolutely nothing to do in that area. The nearest local shops are three miles away. It was unbelievably hard to find, the taxi driver did not know where it was, not even the postman knew where it was. It is a family home and you are made to feel as though you are intruding. My mum was staying there because i live in Helensburgh so she planned on staying there for the weekend but it turned out she just stayed there one night and we had to move her to a different hotel, when i picked her up she was so happy to see me, she was nearly crying with the bad experience. It is a lovely house but that is the only good thing i can say.

Review 32:Very friendly and so helpful great breakfast super comfortable bed gorgeous views and a perfect setting for busy commonwealth games but calming loch lomund views

Review 33:Lovely night staying at dunroamin. Owners were very friendly and made sure we had a satisfying stay. Excellent breakfast selection and the owner was nice enough to drive us into the town for a wedding we were attending instead of getting a taxi.

Review 34:Nothing bad could be said

Review 73:We had the perfect bnb experience here. After a heavy Scottish breakfast at the previous bnb, Madeleine went out of her way to prepare us a super delicious and healtht breakfast. Loved it. Would absolutely go there again.

Review 74:Welcoming and friendly host, spacious and beautifully furnished accommodation and scrumptious breakfast with very pleasant views. One of the nicest b&b's we have stayed in.Would recommend to others and would gladly stay there again.

Review 75:Had slumber party and could hear them bombing about upstairs. Looking for peace and quiet did not get. Ten check out was not good either. Was like staying with the parents but paying for the privilege

Review 76:Room was nice for the price

Review 77:I haven't a single complaint, too place to stay

Review 78:Loved everything about this B&B. Very clean, very modern, very fresh and relaxing. Hostess was fantastic, advising on areas to see and visit etc and was always around to help. I would recommend this B&B to anyone. Wifi worked superbly here unlike some other places I've been and had to pay for it and didn't work properly, big thumbs up on this. Was able to use the Internet on my phone and laptop here with absolutely no issues at all with the wifi here. For the price, this place is fantastic!! Top class!

Review 79:You could hear everything that happened outside the room. Fortunately, it was a quiet location.

Review 80:It was close to Loch Lomond and surronding villages by car. The proprietor was both welcoming and helpful and the room was comfortable, clean and modern. Thanks again for a great visit. The Glengoyne Distillery is a great nearby attraction for rainy days.

Review 81:Room too hot for me during the night even with the window vents opened. Although my partner had no complaints about this. Tv reception not great. Could only get a few channels but I think this may have been due to the high winds when we stayed.

Review 82:Our host Madeleine was friendly and helpful. Good sized ŕoom. Great shower. King size bed. Under floor heating. Nice peaceful location. Easy route access to Stirling, Aberfoyle and Loch Lomond

Review 83:I could not fault any thing , but it would be useful to have a microwave and seperate beds as an option would have been ideal

Review 84:I enjoyed the peace of the countryside and the freedom of the self service. Balfor the little hamlet a short walk away was useful for groceries. The location was ideal to explore Scotland and the Trossachs and the views with bird life was lovely. The break helped me and my son

Review 85:I don't know if there was wifi or not as I wasn't told and because it is a private house, didn't feel like knocking on their door to ask!

Review 94:The building itself was very well presented to show off its glorious location and views to the rear. Inside was tastefully decorated and very much to my taste. The breakfast was excellent. To cap it all i was running a bit late and the owners ran me by car to my destination. I cant thank them enough.

Review 95:I stayed for my last night on the West Highland Way and couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable experience. Lovely accommodation and even lovelier hospitality.

Review 96:Not being able to get in contact when we were late, we got a bit stressed about that.

Review 101:Very friendly and helpful landlady. Room was very tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Easy parking and a pleasure to stay,

Review 102:The B&B is listed on the web as being in Drymen. In fact it is in Balfron. The erroneus listing made finding the place quite difficult.
