Reviews for The Knowe Guest House
Review 1:Just would have preferred a duvet but that's personal preference.
Review 2:A beautiful house with stunning views. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Our hosts were extremely pleasant and serve up a great breakfast.
Review 3:They do have wifi, but it doesn't reach all parts of the house, so if you are booking, checking that you get a room that has wifi (mine didn't). Also (on a very minor, but irritating point), the Sky TV in my room had hundreds of channels, but only a few of them were in the package, so it took a very long time to find channels that work.
Review 4:Friendly helpful hosts, good shower, nice location. I would stay there again (but see comment on wifi).
Review 5:The check out was a bit early I felt at 10am. Especially when we were at a wedding the night before. An option of a late check out would be nice.
Review 6:The rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was fantastic, especially the full Scottish. Then there was fresh fruit and yoghurt. One of the owners remembered what my girlfriend and I had to drink, tea or coffee the second day. Ask for a room at the front of the house for the best views.
Review 7:Rae and Ashley were relaxed and friendly and made us most welcome. They were happy to provide the benefit of their local knowledge so that we got the best from our break. The views from the house were magnificent across the town and countryside.
Review 8:Best B&B I have stayed at. Large rooms with all amenities plenty of space for suitcases. Gorgeous view from well appointed Guest sitting room. Delightful hosts and great breakfast.
Review 9:Breakfast could have been served over an hour rather then half-an-hour, although the staff were very flexible about times anyway!
Review 10:A 5-star guest house. The staff couldn't have been nicer!!
Review 11:I considered it a wee bit expensive in comparison to other B&Bs withnewer furnishings/facilities.
Review 12:Convivial breakfast around shared table, good location for townand walks.
Review 13:We recommend staying in this B&B. The hosts were very welcoming, the room was spacious and well presented. En-suite large and well presented. The Breakfast was to die for. Nothing was to much trouble. Had a great nights sleep well rested for teh journey ahead. Thank you to the Rose's
Review 14:The location which was close to friends and easy access to the town. Friendly atmosphere and interaction with owners and other guests at breakfast. Off street parking. Large room with good views over the hills.
Review 15:Nothing to complain about. Would have liked stronger WiFi but not the end of the world.
Review 16:Hosts were excellent in every way. The location is perfect, just 2 minutes from the Main Street. Large comfortable house with nice seating area on frontage. Views to the Front and Rear fabulous with woodland walks on the doorstep.
Review 17:One big table for everyone at breakfast and only served between 8.30 and 9.00. Other B & B's allow an hour. Bedroom was cold - heating on, only briefly.
Review 18:Nice house and location.
Review 19:Loved the size of our room and en-suite complete with lovely guest lounge which had a great view of the town. Very friendly hosts to make you feel welcome and offer local knowledge.

Review 21:the was no hitting in the rooms.
Review 22:The owners was great, hot weather in the shower, breakfast was very very good, location quiet good for the center of scotland.
Review 23:Only if you are a real clean freak - and we're not - you may pick up on the dust but we didn't care.
Review 24:Lesley and Rae so accommodating. If you love golf, they can point you in the right direction. Homely and if you like sharing with other travellers at breakfast, this is the place for you. They don't offer pack lunches anymore but Lesley went to Tescos for us so they are willing to go the extra mile for their guests. Beautiful room - gardens - with wonderful views. We had a memorable stay for the ryder cup. We hope to stay again.
Review 25:Absolutely nothing - it was superb
Review 26:Everything! Location was perfect for my visit to Gleneagles and visiting the Trossachs. My room was superb with a sitting room adjoining the bedroom. Great choice on breakfast menu (including full Scottish) included in price. Scenery from bedroom was breathtaking, cleanliness excellent, friendliness of owners was genuine. They are definitely in the right business
Review 27:Wifi a bit up and down, several of the guests looking for the 'right spot'.
Review 28:Quiet part of town but minutes to numerous good restaurants and lovely walks. Hosts were most helpful. We enjoyed the communal breakfast table and we met some lovely travellers. We hope to return someday.
Review 29:Specified a double room, but got two twin beds pushed together with two single duvets - not a massive issue but fussier customers might have complained

Review 77:Peaceful and quiet with friendly staff. Massive roomm with lots of storage space.
Review 78:Parking- a bit cramped and a "bump" that isn't obvious until you hit it. People allergic to dogs need to know that although the owners do not allow pets, they have a large dog themselves.

Review 80:A very agreable stay ! Large room with big windows overlooking the town.Everything very well kept, comfortable and clean. Charming Hosts! Thank you!
Review 81:Comfortable room, very nice breakfast, great location, owners were attentive, friendly and helpful and had excellent local knowledge. Great value for money and really enjoyed our stay!
Review 82:the entance from the road is very steep, if your vehicle is low at the front you can "bottom out"if not careful
Review 83:The size of the rooms. The breakfast choices were excellent
Review 84:Spacious room, comfortable beds, excellent tasty breakfast, nice helpful hosts. The town center is few minutes walk from the B&B where we had pleasant dinner. It was one of the best stays during our week sent traveling around Scotland. If you travel by car and visit Stirling castle, we recommend The Knowe Guest House to stay before or after.
Review 85:1. The shampoos and handwash liquids were nearly empty and not refilled for us when we first entered the room. 2. The floor in the rooms are very squeaky when you are walking around. 3. Decor was not synchronizing with anything. 4. The clothes hangers were all different to each other i.e. the were hangers from dresses and clothes when you buy from a shop. I didnt like it at all. 5. The breakfast is communal for all guests where there is one dinning table and all the plates are kept around it . There is no seperate dining for guests within the breakfast room. The towels for bathing given to us had loose threads coming off the sides as they had been cut into 2 from 1 big towel which was not a good sign.
Review 86:The guest house was close to one of the sightseeings which is a waterfall. Its walking distance to callander high street and all the connections to enter the Loch. Its good for budget friendly people looking for a not very fancy accomodation.

Review 90:Everything. Great friendly welcoming hosts. The breakfast and service excellent. The rooms and en suites are large and spacious. Short walk to town for shopping and hotels for a drink and meal at night. Excellent location for exploring this area. Highly recommend, just the best stay for 3 days....wished it was longer.

Review 97:very pleasant room overlooking the town in a very quiet situation. Good welcome from owners and good breakfast. Would go there again. The best we stayed in on our tour.
Review 98:Great location, very close to all the facilities in Callander (including Ciro's Italian restaurant, where the food was delicious) - massive room, very comfortable, and the best breakfast I have ever had at a B&B. I've never had potato scones before, and they were fantastic. The owners are very welcoming - I was there for a charity cycle ride and they really looked after me.
Review 99:Bedroom had lots of space with its own sitting room. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable house generally with a warm welcome. Very short walk to the high street. Good base for the Trossachs and Loch Lomand.
Review 100:There was no mention of having a dog in the place when doing the booking. It is not my case but some people could be allergic to dogs so they should know about it before booking. My husband does not eat meat so his breakfast was very poor(1 fried egg,1 potatoe scone, baked beans and tomatoes)I would expect if somebody is not having the full breakfast should have double portion of what is having.
Review 101:Room was clean.Bed was comfortable.
