Reviews for The Drymen Inn
Review 1:Upstairs bedrooms small and cramped. Unfortunately Noisy from the bar at night .....loud music until midnight. However it was a birthday party and Saturday night, so maybe not always like that.
Review 2:Pleasant staff. Modern downstairs bar and restaurant area. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Seemed to be a Fun place with Good music in the evening.
Review 3:I was very happy with my stay.
Review 4:The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable. I enjoyed a good evening meal and a lovely breakfast.
Review 5:Lack Of info regarding which wi-fi to connect to slow connection, and signal weak, also phone signal weak Wardrobe in room really small and not able to hang suits in... Not enough sockets at bedside for use !!
Review 6:Really lovely staff and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, and nice quiet room. Standard excellent
Review 7:Nothing we didn't like all good. Maybe few Wee tweeks but great stay and would def be back. Staff were so lovely. Room a little on small side, pillows poor quality but easy to remedy shower plug hole and round taps could be cleaner , again overall very clean but just Wee tweek here and there! No long mirror. Price on website £80 for double but we paid £90 and that was a dicounted rate, not sure what that's about! We had a brilliant sta
Review 8:Staff enviroment food
Review 9:Very loud music in the pub on Friday night until quite late. The single room is very small and the price is quite high for a village inn.
Review 10:The staff is very friendly and helpful
Review 11:THERE IS NOTHING I DIDNT LIKE
Review 12:I stayed here when i was working in Clydebank... I have never felt so comfortable - Daz the gent that works there & checked me in he was soo accommodating, friendly, helpful made me feel so welcome couldnt have stayed in a better place I would CERTAINLY RECOMMEND this place to anyone close to Drymen - Thank You Guys
Review 13:Staff was hard working and always cheerful. Young girl waitress was cheerful and very helpful. Had a blast in the pub that night. The locals came in with their banjo and guitars and we sang until we closed down the pub.
Review 14:The public areas going up to the rooms are in need of a freshen up. It really lets the hotel down as the hotel is so beautifully decorated everywhere else.
Review 15:The food was delicious and the public areas downstairs are very nicely decorated. The stand out feature for us was the staff - very young but they are very hard working and enthusiastic. 11/10
Review 16:Things were a little loud in the bar for a while since it was quiz night, but this calmed down after 11 pm.
Review 17:The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Review 18:An airline pilot who stays in hundreds of beds in a year - that was the worst bed I've ever slept in - without doubt!!
Review 19:The bar staff were sensational!! Especially Alex!
Review 20:Continental breakfast not 'extensive'.
Review 21:Location near the east side of Loch Lomond. Well modernised inn serving good pub food. Nice friendly staff.
Review 22:Small, tight room right above the pub area with loud music playing till close to 1 in the morning.
Review 23:Clean and interior still in good condition. The bar food in the inn-restaurant was solid.
Review 24:I found the full Scottish breakfast a bit dry and other than potato cake not very Scottish compared to other breakfasts I've had.
Review 25:Lovely big bed in a clean and modern bedroom. Nice atmosphere with friendly, welcoming staff. Haggis for my evening meal was delicious.
Review 26:Although the room was clean there was a bit of debris on the floor, such as an old bottle-top. The light over the bathroom mirror didn't work. Although there was free wifi in the room, I was unable to use it because the overhead and bedside lighting in the room was very dim and the wallpaper & covers were very dark. There was also an extremely loud music event in the bar below from 9pm-12, & since it wasn't my sort of music it was impossible to do anything all evening except put the telly on with the volume turned up very loud. The breakfast was not very good, the fried eggs & sausages were leathery & dried out. When I checked out there was great difficulty in obtaining a receipt (for the purpose of claiming back from my employer). I was told I could have an email later, but since I paid by cash this was totally unacceptable - after some insistence the waitress countersigned the bill for me & said I would be emailed a proper one that day, but I still haven't had it. This proved a very unsuitable choice for business accommodation, but would be a good place to stay if you wanted to stay up till midnight in the bar and then go to sleep.
Review 27:Excellent & prompt service from the waitress who served my evening meal. Beautiful & comfortable room Delicious food.
Review 28:First stop on our WHW travels....sat in the lovely beer garden for a few refreshments before heading in for a fabulous dinner... Food amazing! Staff fantastic, would definitely recommend .. Top class!!
Review 29:Little niggles such as bathroom not as clean as first stay.No bin in room. Staff cleaning whilst having breakfast.
Review 30:Warm and friendly welcome from staff. Lovely food.
Review 31:Room was a bit small. Only two coat hangers in wardrobe. Water pressure in Shower was very low.
Review 32:Staff were great. Breakfast was good. Location was good. Drymen is a good place to stay. Fairly central for Loch Lomond, Glasgow and Stirling.
Review 33:Disappointed that there was a mix up with the evening meal menu and the final bill when additional items were added to our bill. It was corrected after we pointed it out. The room was not well sound proofed but it is an old building so perhaps part of the character.
Review 34:The staff are friendly and the decor and food were nice.
Review 35:We had arrived early at The Drymen Inn at around 12.30pm and we decided to see if our room could be available earlier than the 3pm stated. We were greeted with a smile and a very warm welcome and were told our room would be ready very shortly and if we wanted to take a seat someone would bring us across a drink while we were waiting. We were shown to our room 2hrs earlier than we expected which was fantastic and the room itself was not the largest room, but it was very modern with flat screen TV with tea and coffee facility's and everything you could ask and the bathroom was clean and modern and perfect for what we were looking for. Dinner was booked for 8pm where we were given a lovely choice from 2 different menus with the meal and service of the staff being first class. We had a very comfortable night and had a full cooked breakfast at 10pm which again was first class. I can certainly say that value for money this was great and we would have no hesitations of booking another night in this great little pub with warmth and charm.
Review 36:After a long walk we hoped for a nice night of sleep but we were kept awake from the noisy bar until after 1am... The radiator did not work so the room was extremely cold but the staff did manage to fix this for us.
Review 37:Good menu
Review 38:Size of room no bigger than 10ftx10ft. Room right above bar,Very noisy till 1.30am. No bath. Had to ask for heating to be switched on in room
Review 39:Restaurant and Bar, excellent breakfast, friendly staff.
Review 40:Extra pillows be good and heating in rooms not the best but nothing that would deter us staying again

Review 42:The staff were very friendly and helpful, we required an early check in as going to wedding and this was no problem. Beds really comfy and food was excellent.
Review 43:Hmmmm. Let me think....we missed a chair in the room. That's all. :-)
Review 44:The location, the rooms and the bar was very good. The food (breakfast and dinner) was absolutely amazing. The staff was very kind. And the beers were splended.
Review 45:I could not get wi fi on my phone although my son could on his lap top
Review 46:myself and my son stayed at the dryman when we went to watch the ryder cup the staff were very friendly and recommended a packed lunch as we where leaving so early we had dinner there the 3 nights we stayed the food and service where great and on our last morning the breakfast was very good
Review 47:From the friendly welcome on arrival to the cheery farewell on ourdeparture our stay in Drymen was wonderful! The rooms were spotless, warm and welcoming. Comfortable beds made for a refreshing nights sleepand in the morning a lovely "full Scottish" to set us up forthe day! The bar experiece was friendly, the locals are great and youmust try the local dram, Glengoyne, The beers are great as well. Ourevening meals were well presented and cooked to perfection. All in all agreat break, can't wait to go back.
Review 48:Shower rooms very small, and rooms had no chair. Restaurant was very quiet so lacked atmosphere - menu was nice but very expensive for what it was.
Review 49:Comfy beds, and great location for walking WHW.
Review 50:Nothing
Review 51:Very comfortable bed was most welcome after our first day on the West Highland Way. The friendliness of the staff. Good shower, plenty of hot water. Central location. Close to our walking trail (the WHW).
Review 52:Everything was nice. Comfortable bed, nice staff, good food. We arrived late and they were still willing to cook us some dinner:) It is a perfect location to discover the east side of Loch Lomond.
Review 53:Our room was right above the bar, people drinking and shouting until midnight every night during our stay, not ideal. Because of this I have not recommended it as it's not ideal when you want to go out and about and do stuff. We where tired all through our stay and this made our trip less enjoyable.
Review 54:The food, breakfast and dinner in the pub amazing, location, how tidy the room was.
Review 55:Guests using the outside bar area kept us awake until 12 am with their noise. We were walking the west highland way so needed some sleep. Maybe the hotel could supply ear plugs. These seemed to be supplied in other places we stay due to the same type of situation.
Review 56:Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, comfortable and modern.
Review 57:Conservatory floor had not been swept before breakfast was served so was quite dirty. We ordered a sandwich for lunch but when we returned after midnight, the plates had not been taken away.
Review 58:Helpful and pleasant staff.
Review 59:Shower was a little temperamental but otherwise everything was fine.
Review 60:Read the reviews and got what I expected. Superbly friendly staff, a no worries attitude and a great stay. Lovely food as well.

Review 65:Electric shower couldn't get water temp to stay set.
Review 66:friendly staff as we left before breakfast the packed meal provided was excellent easy to find as it was Commonwealth games week price for B&B was v reasonable
Review 67:Deliveries at 3/4 am to shop opposite. Ask for a room at the back! Hotel room door REALLY creaky - not good when creeping out at 6 am!
Review 68:Friendly staff - Food excellent. Nice comfy King size bed.
Review 69:All the staff were pleasant and welcoming, the bed was very comfortable and the large bath towels were a welcome change from the meagre offerings in some other hotels. The breakfast was good, freshly prepared and too much for me to eat. We had packed lunches from the hotel and they too were excellent, with a well filled sandwich on thick bread, just the job for climbing Ben Lomond
Review 70:A little noisy from pub below, and a little chilly in room.
Review 71:The ultimate burger and breakfast!
Review 72:Room was not worth the money at least £20 to much
