Reviews for Domaine Les Bastidons

Review 1:There is no view from the houses. The bed is consisted of two single mattresses

Review 2:The apartment was very pleasant and very well equipped. The kitchen has everything you need (except cups). The bed is very comfortable. The apartments are ten minutes walk from the village centre.

Review 3:We couldn't find teacups in our house so, had to buy them in the supermarket. Low WiFi signal (enough only for one device).

Review 4:Great location (10 minutes walk from the centre of beautiful Gordes), well-equipped and cozy house with nice terrace and a lot of privacy, lovely swimming pool area. Very friendly and helpful owner Jean-Francois (Jeff).

Review 5:We arrived by car and didn't know in advance the gate code to drive and park, until a guest happen to walk by. Then it took some time to locate the receptionist at the empty office. No sign was visible outside or inside reception on how to contact staff.

Review 6:Very clean, well-equipped and comfortable accommodation. Location was excellent with only a 8-10 mins scenic walk to Gordes.

Review 7:difficult to get in the Swimming pool little bit to good secured

Review 8:kindness and helpfullness of the staff. Very nice bungalows. Very clean every comfort good bed and pillows

Review 9:Nothing.

Review 10:The whole experience and the friendliness and helpfulness of JF went above and beyond our expectations. What a wonderful advert for this property.

Review 11:WIFI was a bit annoying, low signal and continually needed to log on.

Review 12:Beautiful location, just a little out of the main town. Excellent facilities, nice private patio Great safe parking

Review 13:A little surprised to be provided with a used dish washing sponge cloth and sponge. Also, no tea towel or dishwasher tablet. Strangely also, the rules ask you to strip the beds and return the sheets and towels to reception at the end of your stay! No 'big deal' but a little inconsistent with an otherwise upmarket offering. It should also be noted that there are a total of 46 apartments which is larger complex than may be gleaned from here. Having said that the development is very well designed and you are not aware of the size.

Review 14:Great location, rural yet within a 10 minute walk of beautiful Gordes. Well equipped, with quality beds and bedding. Lovely south facing rear garden/terrace area with tables and reclining sun loungers. (Note - some of the apartments have less private terraces at the front). Great value (circa 100 euros per night for a two bedroomed apartment) and large pool in lovely setting.

Review 15:Houses with garden, terrace, kitchen, two bedrooms and living room. And all this few min walk to Gordes. Such a great accommodation in the heart of Provence. Swimming pool, helpful Jean-François with list of local market and every-evening help with local restaurant. Price for this is really low. Best place to explore provence

Review 16:Internet spotty, but Jean-François helped us with that.

Review 17:Jean-Francçois was friendly and responsive to our needs. The facility was comfortable and had everything we needed. Located within walking distance from Gordes, one of the most beautiful hill towns in the Luberon, with lovely restaurants, shops, and VIEWS, made our weeklong stay wonderful.

Review 18:It is a little thing but the bed spreads were stained and not clean. The should really be washed each time before new guests are arriving.

Review 19:Breathtaking view welcomed us as we arrived to Gordes. Our accommodation was really nice with equipped kitchen, clean rooms and nice outside sitting area. The staff member gave us some useful practical information about shopping facilities and market days. The kitchen was equipped with all necessary dishes. I recommend taking basic stuff such as salt, sugar, coffee, tea bags, cling film, kitchen and tea towels, place matts and long life milk. We did all our food shopping in Coustulet, a small town, about 10 min drive from Gordes, in a supermarket called "Super U". Coustulet has a big market on Sundays, it is very busy, but did not have problems with parking. The accommodation was not busy, and we liked that as did not have anyone staying at the above appartment. Some appartments did not have outside sitting area. There were good washing facilities. Overall we liked this place and would return.

Review 20:The location, close to the city center yet on the quiet and scenic fringes, was ideal. Also very close to the Abbey and lavender fields as well as several other cute and interesting towns. Staff was accommodating and friendly and kids loved the pool.

Review 21:Beautiful place in Provence! Walking distance to Gord center, private area, parking, well equipped house, patio, TV, wi-fi in house. Nice place to visit Provence places nearby. We should stay here again.

Review 22:Domaine les Bastions is one of the best surprises during my vacation in Provence. I was lucky to get a great deal from Booking. Great location and great facility, comfortable room with AC and fast WiFi! Too bad I didn't have time to enjoy the heated pool.

Review 23:thumb down to wifi, only available when you are outside the apartment.

Review 24:Location is good, the manager is nice, the price is right.

Review 25:Kitchen did not have a toaster. Wifi was very inconsistent

Review 26:Comfortable, great beds, pool was great...

Review 27:A beautiful property right beside the village of Gordes from which to explore the area. Jean Francois (Jeff) was very friendly and helpful.

Review 28:Access and entry point No phone with us so we were locked out!!

Review 29:Location

Review 30:nothing

Review 31:attractive , large, well fitted cottage. good facilities. very near village, so just a short walk. we loved it !

Review 32:Nothing!

Review 33:Very private and very nice place to stay. The Apt was huge and very comfortable with a great kitchen. I could stay for a month. Secure parking and within walking distance to the village. A perfect location to explore Provence.

Review 34:We highly recommend staying at Domaine Les Bastidons. The old stone houses are beautiful, spacious and very clean, with great beds, kitchen and bathroom. The pool area is beautiful, and washing machine provided at no charge. It's quiet and peaceful, and the owner Jeff is very helpful. We were in France over 3 weeks, moving every 3 days, and this was the best place we stayed in our entire trip. You'll be happy staying here - it's wonderful.

Review 35:No internet inside the apartment. The reception is not always open so it is best to call before arriving.

Review 36:We absolutely love this place! It is perfect for families with young children and the facilities such as the pool, really nice, it is a short walk to the center and in compensation you gain space and freedom for the kids to run around and use the facilities. Scooter are a great idea to make up all the walking that you would love to do here! Gordes is one of our fav location!

Review 37:On previous visit was not asked for a deposit, but for some reason thistime I was asked for a €500 deposit, We were only staying for fournights? Also the Bastidon was not as nice as the one we had previouslystayed in!

Review 38:Location is excellent for Gordes, and an ideal base for travellingfurther afield. Pool and site is aesthetically pleasing.

Review 39:Could've used the basics like dish soap, dish cloths and salt &pepper. Also we had a difficult time figuring out how to work the stove.Different from north America.

Review 40:Loved the bastidon. Good sized rooms with everything we needed. It helped that the staff spoke English. Beautiful location.Secure property.

Review 41:Wifi weak, grounds need upkeep.

Review 42:Location, privacy.

Review 43:Everything. Fantastic place. This is my second visit and I definitely will return to this property.

Review 44:The facilitates and location

Review 45:The rooms were great little apartments built in the French style. there was a nice kitchen.
