Reviews for Résidence Pierre & Vacances Green Beach

Review 1:The towel provided were small but hey this was the only niggle I could come up with.

Review 2:Lovely location with view across the golf course. Friendly staff excellent pool. Perfect location for the Normandy beaches. Highly recommended.

Review 3:We wish kitchen had an oven, food options are limited without it. The pools are great, but too crowded most of the time.

Review 4:Great location to explore the Omaha beach surroundings, green and quiet. Comfortable apartments with almost everything you need for a week or two stay.

Review 5:A slight bad smel in the living room!

Review 6:Nice location suitable to visit nearby landmarks, relaxation very suitable two floors apartment for families with kids.

Review 7:Poorly described by Booking. The staff was emphatic: "This is *not* a hotel!" So, beds were to be made up by guests. Only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, and one tiny bar of soap for both were provided: "Go to the supermarket and get any additional you need." Two towel kits for six guests. Staff seemed rigid and rule-bound. No food, not even machine-dispensed coffee, on premises; but it could be delivered by caterer. Reception open very limited hours.

Review 8:Superbly designed facility with furnishings and equipment modern in every way. Very convenient parking. Lovely grounds, convenient golf course.

Review 9:Only complaint ( and really more of a suggestion ) the lighting at the rear of properties, by car parking could be a little brighter . My husband & I both tripped on the timber edging as no light showing it up . But that the only down side .

Review 10:Great place to use as a base for couples or families , if visiting the beaches, ports & war graves . Lovely big open space for families to play safely, excellent pool facilities. The apartment we had was great for four adults, great to do a small amount of self catering .lovely lady on reception showed us a larger house when we were leaving .. Fireplace & all , will definitely be back to try that out . would recommend .

Review 11:Small pokey accommodation. Houses for six are the same as houses for four but you have to sleep 2 on a tired pull-out sofa bed. Mine smelt of Dog despite requesting allergy free bedding. Complained for two days about unsuitable sized accommodation but was fogged off by senior receptionist. Finally got a bigger house after threatening to post my honest review.

Review 12:Nice outdoor pool with kids play pool and adjacent dry swing / slide play area

Review 13:Wi-fi and safe must be paid for.

Review 14:Great location.Three swimming pools were clean and well maintained. Our house was clean and had all that we needed to make our stay easier : washing machine, a dishwasher, kitchen utensils, microwave, pots and pans, fridge, electric radiator to dry our swim suits. Also the staff was very helpful and friendly. They know the area well and recommended some lovely trip to us.

Review 15:Litter bin in communal was over flowing when we arrived and had still not been emptied when we left. no oven/kettle in apartment

Review 16:Warm water in outdoor pool, despite awful weather we could still swim. Washer dryer and electrically heated towel rail in bathroom.

Review 17:The accommodation was very basic, tired and no more than functional - not at all what we expected for the price. The sofa-bed in the sitting room was just a day bed and not comfortable as a sofa. The house was completely devoid of charm or cosiness. Of particular angst, the ground floor bathroom smelled strongly of stale urine. We reported the smell and the staff clearly already knew about the issue with this bathroom. They cleaned it for us, but the smell returned. We spent as little time there as possible because it was not a pleasant place to be.

Review 18:The hotel staff sold me an upgrade for additional amount for a privileged room but I believe this is marketing gimmick. Don't go for any upgrade at the ned it is the same room. Beds are too small and not comfortable

Review 19:The location of the place was very good

Review 20:Not enough facilities. You really need to be prepared to bring all things you might need. Limit staff opening hours. We were a long way from any shops

Review 21:It had all we needed in accommodation but way too small. I would only use this place again with young children. there were 5 of us. This accommodation is very small and like a good cabin.

Review 22:Pest control, people. Telling me it is the country does not excuse bugsall over the apartment - pest control. Every day we had to fight for theparking, not enough parking spots.

Review 23:Location is great

Review 24:- upon late arrival which was agreed and set up, lock box was broke, code given did not open box waited hour for manager. Manager was young woman 18-23 who showed up with boyfriend who apparently was upset that my group took time away from playtime. - beds where beds in the visual sense.. poor comfort. -half cut glass to block water from the shower barely did that.. consistent floods after shower

Review 25:Great size for the price. Excellent room.

Review 26:the only thing we thought could have been better was there was no resturant or bar on site, other than the golf bar/resturant which was a 5min walk and over priced however very nice.

Review 27:everthing was good clean tidy and quiet, we had a two bed appartment, which was good for two couples. however this was for an appartment 6 people and would have been quite cramped. the location was great for our visit to normandy as we were there for the DDAY activities and is quite cenrtal to all the beaches.

Review 28:The pool hours are way too short. The pool should be open until 10... At least! It's one of the reasons for picking the hotel, but I was only able to swim once because it closed at 7:30.

Review 29:I loved the location! Money well spent! Nice apartment; great use of space though it was a tad small.

Review 30:Lack of parking, close to houses was a problem one night. Be prepared to walk a little further.

Review 31:Good area. Very quiet, and comfortable. Staff very helpful, all spoke good English. (Putting our French to shame!)

Review 32:A two room house, as advertised on bookoo, does not mean two bedrooms. It was 1 bedroom upstairs and a living room downstairs. We had to make our own beds and the room stunk like sewage. I would not recommend this hotel. Additionally, the pics on bookoo are misleading. There's a picture overlooking the ocean on a golf course. The hotel is not on the ocean. It is on the golf course which eventually goes by the ocean.

Review 33:Outside and staff was great

Review 34:Location was poor and the 2 storey house was discusting dirty, unkept and poor. Door handles missing, walls falling apart, cockroaches in the upstairs, beds were horrific, staff couldn't help as they were full, was pure hell

Review 35:Nothing

Review 36:Had to make our own beds, pools close early, have to pay for wifi, beds were hard foam, rooms were outdated with little to no decor

Review 37:Patio was nice, quiet area on golf course, within short driving distance to some Normandy sites

Review 38:The first house we received had a horribly dirty toilet, and bathroom. But the staff worked with us to get us moved to another. No fans in the house, upstairs gets very hot. The beds were incredibly hard.

Review 39:Staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed having a home away from home, and the amenities provided. Beautiful area, in perfect location for Normandy and all the D-Day beaches/activities. Grocery store not far by car.

Review 40:No oven.

Review 41:The location is fantastic. Houses are clean and the "neighborhood" is very nice to walk around. The pools are well maintained and kept at a comfortable temperature. It literally felt like coming home each time we returned from an outing.

Review 42:I wish their was an on site restaurant. There were bugs /spiders in the living/2nd bedroom area. I hate having to make our own beds on arrival, and take our trash out at the end of the trip.

Review 43:Great pools! My 7yr old daughter loved the place!

Review 44:Appartment was very basic (no extras. I.e. Toaster, hairdryer) but sufficient for our weekend stay. Both pool areas are great. Not much else to do on site after 7pm. Staff was very kind and accommodating.

Review 45:Level of comfort for an apartment that was supposed to sleep 8 was appalling, beds were dormitory camp beds, fixtures & fittings were of poor quality & workmanship. Very, very small 4 room apartment. Kitchen facilities not up to self contained standard. This is where the French people go for their breaks/ holidays- our suggestion is to leave it to them and book into the Mercure Omaha beach resort just at the end of the street. Very disappointing facility, it was cheap and you get what you pay for!

Review 46:Indoor heated poof a great idea

Review 47:Parking, next door parked so badly we could not park in our slot, which meant we had to park in disabled bays at reception which is a fair trek to the house. All houses the same, a bit "brookside" / lotissement.

Review 48:We liked the location, house inside, the views, very close to port en bessin town.

Review 49:No washing up liquid or sponges to clean dishes, people staying for one night do not carry washing up liquid with them . Having to ask for use of hairdryer when literature states that accommodation provides this.

Review 50:Location, pool, outside sitting area

Review 51:No access to English speaking Chanel's even for payment The bedroom and bathroom located upstairs and the toilet downstairs in our unit

Review 52:Proximity to golf course it's.clubhouse and restaurant on Sunday buffet lunch is a must The grounds and facilities of the resort The proximity to the wonderful seaside hamlets such as Port En Bussin Huppain

Review 53:At arrival, they told us at the reception, that they did not received our reservation on Booking, fortunately they had vacancies, so there was no problem.

Review 54:The apartment was clean, you can order pastries for breakfast, place is calm (in october) and it is perfect for visiting the D-day sites during off season.

Review 55:We would have preferred a proper double bed

Review 56:The setting was wonderful, the staff so helpful and the location was amazing. It was very peaceful and would be ideal for families.

Review 57:Way to expensive for the accommodations! Our two nights stay we ran out of toilet paper and they would not give us more! It was so ridiculous it was funny! Stay in town at Port de Bressin at cheapest hotel. They are all very comparable and you might as well save a few dollars!

Review 58:Staff is extremely friendly! But no staff available between noon and 4pm.

Review 59:Very hard bed. Having to make bed on arrival. Lumpy quilt and pillows. Kettle needed replacing as wouldn't stay on.

Review 60:The location Easy check in with friendly staff The facilities are low key. Very quiet and peaceful Had townhouse so lots of room. Good facilities in the townhouse Towels and bed linen fresh.

Review 61:Too small sauna, which was full of kids, no cleaning during a week long stay

Review 62:Location, nice swimming pools, lots of space outside for the kids to play, short distance to the village and the shops

Review 63:The rooms were a lot smaller than they looked on the photos and some kitchen equipment was missing.

Review 64:The pool was great. We were initially given the wrong accommodation which was too small, but this was quickly rectified.

Review 65:Tiny bunks Dysfunctional kitchen To far from villiage to walk Parking a problem

Review 66:Close to bayeux Close to DDay beaches. Close to Port en Bessin iis great

Review 67:Needs to be made clearer of procedure for arriving outside reception hours.

Review 68:The location was beautiful. The pool lovely.Handy for Bayeaux & the D-Day beaches.Port-en-Bessin was beautiful with some very nice restaurants. We would definately stay here again.

Review 69:Insufficient information as to how to collect keys for arrival after 5pm and no one about to help. Insufficient space for parking - not helped by unmarked bays and bad parking by others. Pools open late in the morning (10:30) meaning kids couldn't swim before an outing.

Review 70:Apartments were clean and pre-arranged linen was all arranged.

Review 71:The rooms where not clean and desperately needed maintenance. Staff were not helpful and the office is only open certain hours.

Review 72:The pool area was lovely but that was about it

Review 73:Beautiful scenary. A lot of entertaining places(swimming poor etc.)&provides free materials for badminton. The rooms are very clean and the terrace is lovely.

Review 74:1.no one to speak with him after 18:00 2.the room has smell of smoke שימו לב , ניתן לקבל מחיר טוב יותר באתר של המלון

Review 75:1. nice warm pool 2. nice hotel

Review 76:That it feels likes time share. Our townhouse was in need of repairs.

Review 77:It's location to the historic beaches. The pools and how family friendly the resort is.

Review 78:The BBQs were shared a few more around the site would be a help .we found that very little english was spoken at the kids clubs and the english speaking children were left out a bit

Review 79:Service hours are terrible. they close the office at 1930 pm along with the pools even in the summer months. You have to place your own bedding/sheets on the beds and the beds are horrible. I have seen better at two star hotels. they do not provide towels for the pool area. we did not know that so the small thin towels for our showers were also for the pool. 7 euros for an extra towel. the shower was in a different room upstairs than that of the toilet. the bathroom with the toilet was so small I had to straddle the toilet just to close the door. Additionally, I have never seen a sink so small in my life. If you are 3 you could get your hands under the faucet at one time, other wise way to small.

Review 80:pools were large and beautiful and heated perfectly. Country setting. Quiet. the dishwasher and kitchen were fine although I would recommend bringing decent cooking pans.

Review 81:The sink in the bathroom was blocked

Review 82:The area was good and close to a lovely port.

Review 83:the apartment required a deeper clean before we arrived.

Review 84:the helpful staff and the location

Review 85:It was a deal and therefore very good. Perhaps would not like to pay full price

Review 86:Bathroom was not clean

Review 87:The garden, outdoor pool

Review 88:No bar or restaurant. No undercover parking for motorbikes. House interior needed painting.

Review 89:Swimming pool. Peaceful and well kept grounds

Review 90:Next to pretty golf course.

Review 91:Excellent facilities. Lovely indoor and outdoor pools. Enjoyed amazing golf!

Review 92:bad wifi, expensive for such a small apartment

Review 93:The pools

Review 94:The pool hours are ridiculous.

Review 95:WIFI was very, very slowly. Early in the morning or late at night, there was a reasonable speed

Review 96:No free WIFI

Review 97:Location for amenities was excellent although a little to far to walk into town

Review 98:Paid for Wi-Fi was shockingly bad. Could have been cleaner.

Review 99:Location!!! Facilities were of a decent quality and value for money.

Review 102:Hated paying for the internet! Bed was hard!
