Reviews for Goss Hall Bed & Breakfast
Review 1:The property owner was lovely, upgraded us to the best room for free, upon request catered a lovely private dinner for me and my wife in the living room, and upon request prepared the room with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Me and my wife, we choose the Goos&Hall for our 1st wedding anniversary, and we loved every minute. Thank you for everything :)
Review 2:Having to leave.
Review 3:The house has been beautifully and tastefully decorated. We had the Sebastopol room which was very large with an immaculate large bathroom. Although it is not far from the A257 the room was so quiet and the bed so comfortable we slept straight through the alarm. Maggie is the perfect host and breakfast one of the best. It is definitely one of the nicest places we have stayed in and we would have given it a 6* rating if we could. We definitely hope to stay there next time we are in the area.
Review 4:The house was beautiful. The owner was (indeed all staff were) very friendly and concerned for our comfort and enjoyment. They went out of their way to make our stay a really nice occasion.
Review 5:was quite windy outside and it was coming in through bathroom door so it was cold in there.
Review 6:amazing place. The room we stayed was called Harlequin absolutely stunning. very friendly hostess, helped us to book a table in a wonderful restaurant. very quiet place. through the window we could see a lake. very good breakfast and pleasant service.
Review 7:Nothing to dislike.
Review 8:A very warm welcome, excellent accommodation with tasteful decor in all areas, a lovely breakfast and very helpful staff. Surrounded by a beautiful garden with extensive views.
Review 9:There is everything to love about this place and nothing to change. It is perfection!
Review 10:I loved everything about this place. The location was excellent. Minutes from the historical towns of Canterbury, Sandwich and Dover. Goss Hall is exquisitely maintained inside and out and is a historical bit of paradise. Every room is beautiful decorated and has every amenity that you could want. Comfortable and luxerious beds, robes, excellent TV, WiFi in every room, home cooked breakfasts severed to order in a lovely dinning room or in your room, if you prefer. The staff is helpful and pleasant and the owners wonderfully accommodating. I just cannot express how much I loved this place.
Review 11:We liked everything from meeting Maggie at the start, to the room, to the breakfast, to the grounds and was made to feel like family. Excellent service and would recommend.
Review 12:Lovely authentic bath but would have liked a shower facility as well as we are very tall people so the bath was a little small for us. Wifi was not great.
Review 13:Great location, beautiful interior just as you would imagine a country house to be! Super service from the staff. Pricey for the amount of time spent there but for a little treat its worth it! Lot of choice on the breakfast. Had high expectations on the cooked breakfast, was just ok. Fabulous recommendation from the landlady to eat out at the King's Arms in Sandwich - great food, service and a beautiful traditional English pub atmosphere. Great!!
Review 14:On arrival I was informed in a very abrupt manner that the two rooms I had booked were in fact only one room and had to prove this with my booking.com confirmation email. There was a mix up with the rooms and it could have been dealt with in a much friendlier manner. Squeaky cupboards doors were a bit annoying.
Review 15:The room I stayed in was beautiful. Very spacious. the bed was really comfortable. the bathroom was huge with lovely towles and robes.
Review 16:We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Maggie made us feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. The freshly cooked breakfasts were delicious. The rooms are nicely decorated, wifi worked well, beautiful, peaceful grounds with a pond and waterfowl. Could not have imagined a better place to stay, and Maggie went out of her way to help us with dinner reservations and directions to where we were headed. Would love to stay here again if we're in the area.
Review 17:Nothing at all
Review 18:The venue is hidden away next to a large pond filled with wild life during the day. The grounds are huge and beautiful. The house itself it's an incredibly good piece of history. Beautifully ornate inside and out. Full of charm and history. The decoration is beautiful and classy. The extras in the room are classy and quality. From a huge cast iron bath to the Laura Ashley cushions. The owners were superb. So friendly and relaxed. The dining room over looked the countryside and was decorated to match. Such great food. Such s great selection. If you want class, quality, history and elegance then stay here. We were at a wedding and checked in late but the owners were very accommodating. Such great value all round to suit any occassion
Review 19:Goss Hall is situated in peaceful, tranquil grounds, which our room overlooked. Very relaxing after a long journey. The breakfast was fantastic, well presented, in nice surroundings.
Review 20:Our stay was wonderful. Lovely, comfortable bedroom, well appointed bathroom, tasty breakfast and very friendly host. The location was beautiful and very peaceful.
Review 21:What is there not to like - its perfect!
Review 22:We loved our visit so much in December last year that we couldn't wait to come back. Same room - Carolina - but joined by my Mum this time who took the ground floor family room and felt well and truly spoilt. Thanks once again to Maggie and family for making our stay feel like we were visiting family - so warm and welcoming in a totally relaxing and luxurious setting. Best hotel / guest house in Kent and from our perspective probably best in the UK. The only problem was that we had to leave. Just means we look forwards even more to our next visit. Can't wait to see you again - John & Cathy xx

Review 30:Sausages at breakfast not to my liking. A bit grissly, but that's being very picky! Lovely stay.
Review 31:Great Hospitality, nice room with lovely views and permission to relax in the garden by the river.
Review 32:Breakfast was delicious,, lovely bacon, perfectly cooked egg, fantastic fried bread, fresh fruit and all in a gorgeous breakfast room. Our bedroom was so lovely, really beautiful and also so much thought and care gone into the decor and maintenance. Maggie is an excellent hostess and also booked us a table at a nearby pub for dinner - a fabulous recommendation. We cannot wait to return!
Review 33:We loved everything about Goss Hall but are mostly very impressed by Maggie and her hospitality. She did everything in her power to make sure our lil family had the most wonderful time! The wonderful room, the breakfast... even provided us with some bread to feed the ducks in the backyard. Will definitely come back for more!

Review 38:The property was fantastic, very friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was excellent,
Review 39:Everything was perfect.
Review 40:From the moment we walked through the front door to the time we sadly had to leave, we were made to feel exceptionally welcome. Huge thanks to Maggie and her family for the friendliness and warmth that we received throughout our stay. Nothing was too much, from organising tables for dinner and taxis, to borrowing wellies and sharing decorating tips. The house itself is to die for, and every room is a beautiful, elegant and tranquil oasis. Maggie's attention to detail and decorative style is truly wonderful. And breakfast ... What can I say - one of the best we've ever had. We stayed in the massive Carolina room, which has an "external" bathroom - a huge and beautifully appointed suite just across the hallway - wonderful. This truly is the perfect package and we can't wait to find another excuse to ditch the kids and enjoy another amazing break. We can't recommend Goss Hall more highly. Thank you Maggie - hope to see you again soon. John & Cathy.
