Reviews for L'Epicerie Du Monal

Review 1:Could do with a faster WIFI connection, but that coud be the location!

Review 2:Clean, spacious, upmarket accomdation in a really central location for all of the ski resorts. Free parking and WIFI and very welcoming staff. Food in the hotel was fantastic. Thank you.

Review 3:One small negative point: we had a roof window in the bedroom without a curtain. That's somewhat annoying in the morning if you want to sleep a little longer.

Review 4:Nice and quiet apartment. Ideal location for hiking in summer.

Review 5:Some road noise in our apartment and a little dark.

Review 6:Modern decor, comfortable bed and easy parking in road. Le Monal Hotel across road has good bar food and nice restaurant if a little pricey.

Review 7:Best bed yet in Europe

Review 8:Nothing

Review 9:Lovely rooms & facilities, looks like recently refurbished.

Review 10:Hard to find Wifi didn't work in the apartment to start off with

Review 11:Comfortable room Restaurant food wa excellent

Review 12:slow wi fi in the apartments

Review 13:Not enough cooking equipment in the kitchen. No washing up liquid or clothes.

Review 14:Excellent value for money!

Review 15:Big well decorated apartment Every day cleaning. Excellent food in hotel opposite the apartments. Bus stop to slopes in front of apartment.

Review 16:Bed was very hard and pillows like wafer thin mints.

Review 17:Beautiful location. Free bus to the main ski resort.

Review 18:Studios « Confort Plus » avec terrasse The appartment was too small! The most pictures you see is from the biggest comfort studio they probalby can offer. Maybe we were not so lucky and got the smallest. The "table" to eat was directly in front of the bed. You cant move the chair enough back to pass behind, because the distance between table an bed was just around 60cm. To go back to the kitchen be acrobatic, walk over the bed! Geting into the toilet or the bathroom was the same. We were lucky because we were slim, but to close the door, you have to be acrobatic again! The Kitchen is also realy small. You don't have enough space to use all the electric stuff (to make coffe, or toast your bread), put your wasched disches and cook the same time. You need to put something on the floor to have space. And because the kichen is next to the entrance, and the corridor does not have a lot of space, your equipment or jackets might be in your way. The interior was nice, we would come back to L'epicerie but never again in this "comfort+" studio.

Review 19:The view is awsome, the bed is realy comfortable - you have enough space and the matrace is great! Realy nice interior - they have a good taste! The furniture and atmosphere you see on the pictures is what you get.. but we were not lucky about the space! Don' get the Studio D.

Review 20:While we were staying in the apartment, my locket necklace went missing. The cleaners had been in the apartment and the door had been left unlocked for a while, while other apartments were being cleaned. We looked everywhere, but were both certain where I had left it. The staff were helpful and we were given a glass of fizz free on New Year's Eve - but it didn't make up for the loss. Also there is no cooker in the comfort apartments - just a stove and microwave. No issue - unless you like pizza and chips!

Review 21:The apartments were very traditional looking and were clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower facilities were also good. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent and the bar a great place to visit after a day on the ski runs. We had a lovely stay here. The hotel was about 15 minutes drive to Tignes le lac. Parking outside the hotel was fine, but if you want to ski in Tignes and you have a hire car - then book parking ahead. We had to find alternatives (Le Boisses) as parking was full in Tignes. Overall the apartments were a very good location and were beautiful. We had a balcony which would have been even lovelier in summer.

Review 22:Minor detail was missed, no battery's for both TV's, Website confirms checkout by 12.00 but had staff ringing at 10.45 to be checked out by 11.00. Food very very expensive.

Review 23:Room was excellent. And clean

Review 24:Only minor gripes were some missing knives, only one proper wine glass and the lack of washing-up materials although I later found some in the cupboards in the hall. Separate toilet in apartment was tiny (had to straddle loo to close door) but rest was relatively spacious.

Review 25:Tastefully decorated. Great location and views. €10 breakfast over at the hotel seems to have improved since last year. Would definitely stay here again.

Review 26:The closest main supermarket is 20-30 minute drive away.

Review 27:We stayed in the apartment over New Year 2012/13. We have 3 young children aged 8,6 and 1. The apartment was in a lovely location over looking the mountains. The apartment was a good size with plenty of room for all of us. The location of the apartment is roughly 20 minutes drive from Val d Isere main resort.

Review 28:Lightning at appartment was poor

Review 29:Very well furnished appartment. Good location for excursions.
