Reviews for Mas Des Romarins

Review 1:Our shower drain was very slow. My wife requested to use a different shower and was allowed to use the adjoining room's shower.

Review 2:Very nice hotel, comfortable and clean. Very interesting room decor and design. Short walk to town.

Review 3:No meal options on Sunday/Monday and there are very few local businesses open (which we weren't aware of) so we had to drive 20km to McDonalds. Room has no mini bar (so we couldnt buy and store supermarket food) or coffee/tea facilities.

Review 4:Restaurant was great but need to book and not open Sunday/Monday

Review 5:Manager off hand on our arrival. dressed in jeans and colored sports shirt, hanging out, totally too informal for his position. Young assistant rushed off her feet. Shocking breakfast for the price. I had much better breakfasts in the two previous B&B s included in the price of my room.

Review 6:Location, wonderful views, good dinner

Review 7:We wanted to book dinner at the restaurant the night we arrived. We were asked if we had a booking and said no as we had just arrived that day. The hostess was quite rude and just said we couldn't have dinner there if we didn'have a reservation. We thought this was quite tough given we were saying at the hotel. Anyway on principle we didn't eat at this restaurant for the rest of the stay even though each evening theater was clearly plenary of tables available. Maybe they didn't want families in their restaurant.

Review 8:The view and ambience is awesome. We had a young family and required to 2 rooms. The rooms are quite small and probably better suite couples who are just staying a night or two with small bags.

Review 9:Bath robes disappeared from room after first night not to reappear for the following 2 days. Pointing this out resulted in an offer to reinstate the next day but we were leaving then so not very useful. The swimming towels ran out I.e. Inadequate number for the number of guests. The swimming pool toilet was unavailable as tools and piping was in the actual toilet itself. Food very strange e.g. Gazpacho had dollop of sweet ice cream In the middle. If you like a kind of experimental approach this could be for you. For the price the service could have been better.

Review 10:The view and general setting was beautiful. Easy walk into the town where there are good restaurants. The pool was a definite plus.

Review 11:Lovely room, but unfortunately the bed was only a double, not a queen-size. Shall know better next time to ask for a queen. Not a major problem, given the overall quality of the room and the hotel in general.

Review 12:The current owners took over the hotel quite recently. They're delightful people, helpful and friendly. Excellent cuisine for dinner (although a very small menu) and good breakfast. There is a small swimming pool--very welcome in hot summer months. The views from the hotel across to the village of Gordes are stunning. Quiet location with on-site parking. Pretty, Provencal-style decor throughout, with nice individual touches.

Review 13:We spend only one night there, traveling to another place, but I'll like to spend more time there. As we arrived an night, can help if the rooms are more clearly named, we get just a map with few indications, but was not a bit problem to find the room.

Review 14:the location was great and the room was very nice, our was related to old school ages... really nice and funny.... Also we arrived after reception hours and the indications provided by phone about where the room and keys are was great.

Review 15:Our room had a bed and not even a single chair. The toilet door gave no privacy . It was very cramped. And this was a extra comfort rm.

Review 16:The view was fantastic and Gordes was interesting.

Review 17:TV channels didn't work and no one at hotel to help. Room very comfortable and clean but very small. Told different price for drinks. When we arrived we were slightly early so wanted to simply park the car and walk into the village but we were told we couldn't and hung up on.

Review 18:beautiful location and great property. Stunning pool with views.

Review 19:No reception service;receptionist attitude; security safe would not work...."wait 30 mins and I will fix" No evening meal because receptionist said he"didn't look in book and anyway cleaners(who had carefully written the request in the book) don't speak good English" On coming down to ask about meal he spent 20 mins on phone at reception. Next day he was watching large TV in reception

Review 20:location

Review 21:None

Review 22:Excellent location where you can see Gordes from another hill, but within very easy walking distance to the center of town. The size of the room we had was quite small, but very well appointed, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good, but look rather a little formal.

Review 23:Very expensive the most expensive of our 3 months in Europe. Probably our fault for choosing designer type hotel.

Review 24:Village is great. Hotel situated on the gr4 whoch we were walking. This is a designer hotel and did not suit a family very well.

Review 25:Dinner was little bit under my expectation but really good atmosphere

Review 26:The room is very cozy but clean & well decorated. The terrace area is beautiful and allows full sight of Gordes Convenient parking place.

Review 27:Service was just ok....definitely felt a chill from the check in woman. As we were only staying one night felt they didn't care. Each time I spoke to someone at the reception desk, they could barely tear their eyes from their computer to answer my question. Kind of rude. Had to search out someone for a drink; asked for a drink menu and was told they didn't have one, although I saw one in our room. Way too expensive given there was a large hole in the wall between bathroom and bedroom! No wash clothes in bathroom. Minor mold around tub. Hanger for shower hose missing out of wall. This was the third hotel we stayed at on a road trip through France and the most expensive. The others, also in tourist locations, were cheaper and staff were much nicer. For this kind of money, they need to up their game.

Review 28:Beautiful view of Gordes Nice pool Good restaurant

Review 29:Limited opening hours for pool. The breakfast was poor for 15 euros and there was no tea making facilities.

Review 30:A good position for proximity to the village, and a room with a separate entrance.

Review 31:Wardrobe in the bedroom basicaly a small cupboard so not adequate. Breakfast too expensive for the choice , same day after day, same rolls cheese etc. They need to vary the menu. No place in gordes to eat breakfast so you have to eat there

Review 32:View of gordes from the property smallbut well maintained pool with supply of towels without charge. Ideal location to walk into gordes

Review 33:Small rooms. Only two evening meal menu options on any given day.

Review 34:Excellent location close to Gordes village & restaurants. Superb views across Luberon. Excellent food. Recently renovated, clean rooms. Friendly owners who speak good English.

Review 35:Hotel a bit tired and in need of some maintenance work in bedrooms. No coffee/tea making facilities.

Review 36:Fantastic views. Good Parking. Excellent restaurant.

Review 37:The view was splendid. After a long drive from Toulon, it was just simply great to check in to a charming hotel like this. The rooms are themed and the service staff really do try their best to make you feel at home. The shower was great! Very nice. Loved it. Food was also great.

Review 38:İt is impossible to find a place to eat in the village for dinner. Most of the restaurants close too early, the ones that are open dont serve after 21:30. Unfortunately it is not possible to order anything from reception after 22:00.

Review 39:The Location and the scenery from the lovely garden of the hotel.

Review 40:Hollywood theme of room was a bit quirky for Provence, charging high price for tea/coffee when there are no facilities for this in your room.

Review 41:View of the town, private, facilities, pool, outdoor areas, room size. Comfortable bed

Review 42:Location was a bit of a walk back into the tourist part of town, as advertised and expected, but the views along the way made it pleasant.

Review 43:Very clean. Great view. Nicely furnished and totally modern room facilities. Excellent parking.

Review 44:We had booked 3 rooms for 6 adults and 3 children. Those rooms and number of ghuests (9) were confirmed. For a quite high amount of money. At check-in, we got the message that the rooms are only for 6 persons!!! Then we got an offer to buy an additionnal room (180eur) and then for 90eur. Not honest as I had my confirmation in hands!! Some of the rooms have bad standard and all at the same price!!! Then from bad surprises to other bad minor surprises (no toilett paper, TV not working etc. Etc.) I really don't recommand this hotel... at all... And other thing, it's very noisy!!!

Review 45:Just superb!!

Review 46:everything was just perfect

Review 47:Stunning view of Gordes from this hotel.

Review 48:Lovely experience to stay with friendly owners. Room is spacious even with two added beds. We all had great time there.

Review 49:a bit expensive + the toilet had a problem

Review 50:the room for 4 looked great the dinner was amazing & the terrace the personnel

Review 51:A bit hard to find in the night

Review 52:nice location, nice people and there is private parking

Review 53:The room was small, swimming pool needs more regular cleaning.

Review 54:Good air conditioning and goog location for Gordes.

Review 55:Lovely location, great view of Gordes old centre. Very nice pool, pleasant room. Friendly staff.

Review 56:Expensive to eat here

Review 57:easy walking into Gordes. Comfortable rooms

Review 58:Uniqueness of gordes to visit accommodation was very close to main village and dining outside was amazing view. Dinner was excellent

Review 59:Lavatory rolls were not replaced. Room was a bit squashed.

Review 60:Coffee was good. Location was excellent.

Review 61:No coffee or tea pack with kettle at room.

Review 62:Location is very close to the centre of Gordes.

Review 63:* amazing view from the room and terrace where we had our breakfast

Review 64:The breakfast cost was too much

Review 65:The location is easy to access. The view across to Gordes was wonderful

Review 66:Can not think !

Review 67:Location excellent. Very tastefully decorated. Having wine in garden was so enjoyable. Staff very courteous and helpful. Wished we had a longer stay in this peaceful town. Hope to visit again

Review 68:No complaints

Review 69:Fantastic view of Gordes (Provence) from the rooms and from the balcony.Small and personal, like a B&B. Quiet. Easy access to Gordes walking(much easier and more pleasant to walk than to drive and park).Excellent breakfast. Everything, basically

Review 70:The staff made us feel welcome from the first until the last second ofour stay. If you can, definitely have dinner there. The views of the sunsetting over Gordes are incredible. The location is great and we feltthoroughly taken care of and relaxed the entire time we were there.Already looking forward to a return.

Review 71:It is a little pricey but considering the location and the standard ofthe premises, I guess it is not too bad.

Review 72:The location overlooking the village of Gordes, one of the mostbeautiful in France, cannot be put into words. You have a choice ofinside or outside dining, all with the view, as the sun sets over thevillage lighting up the buildings it is a sight you will never forget. You can walk to the village easily and there are many day trips by carfrom Gordes.

Review 73:I guess cost is always an issue and at £120 per night it is a lot butthen I am a scrouge! It would be a great touch to recieve a 20% discounthaving stayed their and waxed lyrical about how good it is.

Review 74:The hotel's location is perfect, for a 3 star it is exceptional. Theview of Gordes for breakfast is stunning and well worth the stay on itown. I would certainly return to this hotel and recommend it to others.A real find!

Review 75:We are an Asian couple in the 50'S. We had a wonderful stay at thehotel. The location, room, ambience, breakfast, etc. were all excellent. The restaurant was not open on the day we stayed, but the staff(owner's wife) was very kind to propose and reserve a nearbyrestaurant, which was also very good. (We communicated throughinternet.) I highly recommend the hotel.

Review 76:Didn't offer any lunch

Review 77:Lovely view of the town, extremely clean, friendly but not over the top service, pretty garden, good size pool with nice loungers. Good breakfast.

Review 78:I didn't appreciate being given a glass of wine, later in the meal, which had clearly been opened a couple of days earlier.

Review 79:Brilliant position with great views. The breakfasts were excellent and the dinner was most enjoyable. The staff were helpful.

Review 80:staff very little attemptive to the guests and to our needs, sometimes even unpolite!!! Never recomend to anyone; they just don 't know the meaning of receiving people... It is a shame, because they really a have nice construction, and facilities.

Review 81:Beautifull construction, beautiful vieuw from the center of the city, amazing gardens, good location.

Review 82:The smaller rooms have no windows, instead the door is glass with a curtain - just like a window really. This makes the room a little stuffy as you cant sleep with the door open as you would with a proper window.

Review 83:This hotel provides an excellent gourmet meal a few times a week.

Review 84:We stayed here for two nights in July and had a terrible experience. Theaircondition did not work, and we told the management straight away, andnothing happens until next day,we get a noisy fan that not helps at all. After two nights of no sleep, we ask for a price reduction, and talks toMichel the manager, who is the most arrogant person ever. He offers avoucher of free breakfast for our next stay, which is never going tohappen.when I say we wont pay all the bill he says he will have thepolice on the gate for us, and the French police will handle usroughly!!!!!! Outrageous, humiliating, I have no words.... You arehereby warned. Stay away!

Review 87:Good location to Gordes town, barely 400 metres away. The room thoughsmall was very clean and well decorated, internet worked, pretty garden.
