Reviews for Auberge des 7 Tours

Review 1:Not the fault of the hotel but think in general Martel would benefit from a bypass (mayor please note). Because we live in a really quiet place we did notice traffic noise. Our last night/morning coincided with a holiday and we noticed the lack of traffic on that day which was a pleasant relief. In general the town would be a much pleasanter place without the traffic. This was the only fault we could find with a very enjoyable stay.

Review 2:The welcome and helpfulness of the staff. Clean room. Fantastic meals this time we were able to sit outside in the evening. The waiter was attentive but not too attentive. He knew all about the menu.

Review 3:Host was most welcoming, all facilities first class would recomend and use again.

Review 4:Was charged more than advertised booking.com rate

Review 11:Beautiful small hotel in the lovely village of Martel.

Review 12:Only drawback was traffic noise but it was a small price to pay for the plus points.

Review 13:The room was well decorated and was a decent size. The staff were extremely helpful and the food was excellent. Particularly liked the fact that the menu changes with the seasons. Also liked the fact that did not have to have 3 course meal could choose to have either starter plus main or main plus dessert. Also liked the fact that the chef was open to changing something on the menu to suit our tastes. As I live not too far away I am looking forward to going there for lunch one day which seemed excellent value for money. Good breakfast too didn't need to have lunch!!!

Review 14:Delightful Inn...in town and by bus stop from Souillac. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant, popular with locals, offered great French country cuisine. Very considerate hosts.

Review 15:Whilst connected to their WFI my computer was subject to the download of six programs that I did not select or ask for. This being as I had accepted their terms of use. I will email them to complain about this. I did not go on any trips.

Review 16:My late-in-the-evening arrival meant that not much was open in town, probably also because it was the off season, almost everything nearbywas closed (so we weren't able to have dinner that night). Also myFrench is very minimal so communication was not as easy as it could havebeen but I can't say it is very reasonable for me to expect Englishto be spoken/understood everywhere in France after-all so thisisn't their fault.

Review 17:Friendly staff, owner takes a serious interest in your happiness of yourstay. The place is listed only as two stars but it's a verywelcoming two stars and the place is run with love, and it shows.
