Reviews for L'Hostellerie du Relais Sainte Anne
Review 1:Does it make a difference if you book with Booking com??? New Bed needed in Room no.1. We did'nt liked the wool blankets and you should put a dehumidifiers for some time in this room. It smells a bit mold.
Review 2:The beautiful Garden and the Peace. The very friendly Swiss Gentleman (from Berne) and the fine Restaurant with good diner and nice serving Ladys.
Review 3:The free wi-fi was only available very close to the hotel entrance; this was inconvenient.
Review 4:The location and ambiance of the hotel - interesting buildings, setting and charming garden. Our room was delightful. The dinner in the restaurant was excellent.
Review 5:Everything about this delightful 'Inn' is more like luxury retreat, we only stayed one night but can't wait to return. Our bedroom had a delightful private terrace, the grounds and gardens were peaceful and relaxing with a wonderful pool. The pre-dinner G&T was worthy of a photograph, the dinner worthy of several. Service was superb, following a wonderful night's sleep we returned to the terrace for breakfast - an absolute delight. Before we left we took another stroll around the grounds and visited the chapel.
Review 6:No complaints at all.
Review 7:From arrival to departure, nothing was too much trouble. Such friendly attentive staff. If we go to this region again we would hope to stay here. All areas of the hotel were clean and well maintained. The church in the grounds is beautiful.
Review 8:Very comfortable and quiet hotel set within beautiful grounds. Lulu and her friend (hotel dogs) added to the family run feel. Breakfast and dinner eaten out on the patio added to the relaxing vibe of this charming place.
Review 9:The Buildings , the grounds, the staff and the ambience and the pool were all wonderful. Dinner at the restaurant on the terrace was excellent. Overall a great experience
Review 10:Was unable to connect to the wireless signal as our room was at the end of the garden. The toilet cistern broke - but was promptly fixed.
Review 11:The garden was beautiful and the pool was very welcome at the end of a hot day. Food was delicious.
Review 12:Sadly, our trip was spoilt as we asked on Booking.Com for a SuperiorRoom with a double bed. We got a twin bedded room. Perhaps you canexplain why you did not pass on the information to the hotel?
Review 13:The meal was wonderful.
Review 14:Hroshy hotel is situated at the plate edge of town, the center for about 15-20 minutes, the advantages of its own parking. Sufficiently clean and comfortable, good quality-price ratio. Of the minuses in the world economy in the corridors privyhode the elevator on the 2nd floor of his get in absolute darkness for a long time looking for the switch ....
Review 15:This is one of those moments in your holiday when you know you have found the place. We found this while driving in France - searching for accommodation on my ipad. I reviewed and reviewed and this one seemed to have it all and we were not disappointed at all. From the town of Martel which was almost deserted to the moment of entering inside the gate of the compound, to the gorgeous room that overlooked the courtyard and into the Michelin recommended restaurant kitchen and last but not least to eating in the restaurant and being looked after by the most attentive and friendly hostess while we ate the most delicious food. This is a must stop.
Review 16:Beautiful surroundings and pool was still open in October. The dining room was full. We stayed on a Friday night so could visit the local Saturday market which was excellent - lots of local fresh produce reasonably priced
Review 17:The lighting in the bathroom, but that really didn't detract from the overall excellence of the hotel
Review 18:Everything. Shame we were only there one night. We had one of the dearer rooms and it was excellent. Huge room with bathroom the same size as many bedrooms in most French hotels, with a large whirlpool bath. Own terrace area to sit in. Lovely grounds including an original chapel. Very good dinner and breakfast both served by very welcoming and attentive staff. The location is excellent too, just on the edge of Martel and a short drive from the tourist areas of the Dordogne
Review 19:A little pricey, but as a treat well worth the money.
Review 20:Great location, all facilities in Martel are a stroll away .Quiet location set around gardens and swimming pool. Top quality restaurant which made me a vegetarian meal on request. Rooms excellent with huge comfy beds.
Review 21:The room was tired, painted a rather ghastly orange, and felt corporate; totally out of keeping with the rest of the hotel. Definitely needed updating. I also felt the manager could have been significantly more friendly.
Review 22:The pool and gardens were fabulous, first warm pool in France. Great location and very elegant.
Review 23:No tea-making facilities in the room - and the French do not make nice tea..!!!!
Review 24:Beautiful building in beautiful garden with a lot of history. Restaurant was excellent .The hotel is in the centre of Martel - a lovely old village - which is very convenient for visits to other sites in the area. The steam train ride is excellent..!! The staff are helpful and very professional. EWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Review 47:Really no front desk
Review 48:Martel is great comfortable medieval town Extremely private and very French Wonderful ambience
Review 49:Having wifi only available in the reception area was a little inconvenient at times.
Review 50:The grounds and buildings were absolutely beautiful. The little chapel and school are gorgeous. The dining room is beautifully furnished. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The resident dogs helped make it feel like home. The food was amazing. Parking was handy. Martel is a gorgeous village.
Review 51:With one exception, the staff were not warm and welcoming. Service in the restaurant was very slow and although the restaurant seemed very popular and the food was well presented, there was little choice with just one set menu, with the same dishes being repeated a la carte. One evening my wife was not feeling too hungry and chose to have just a main course and dessert. She was still charged the a la carte price when she could have wasted the starter but paid less. The food was very much nouvelle cuisine with a piece of fish for example accompanied by a sauce, a mousse and a coulis. Expensive baby food.
Review 52:The room was spacious but two more comfortable chairs would have been appreciated at this price. Close to village centre and plenty to see round about.
Review 53:All lovely but some rooms are defintiely better than others so make sure you request a recently refurbished one
Review 54:Lovely location and hotel, relaxed surrounding and lovely gardens and pool
Review 55:We were under the restaurant and there was a lot of plate clattering till quite late at night, and people chatting outside our room as the restaurant toilets were right outside our door
Review 56:Lovely courtyard, gardens, really unusual hotel
Review 57:Excellent location and great gardens and pool. Not many hotels with its own medieval church. Restaurant excellent.
Review 58:We had A FABULOUS stay and will certainly return for a longer visit-a magical place
Review 59:Nothing!
Review 60:Absolutely everything.....we loved this hotel in Martel....and the food, wow!
