Reviews for Heathrow Hotel Bath Road
Review 1:I feel very qualified to review the Heathrow Hotel, I was stuck in transit & stayed here for over a month. The rooms are very comfortable, attention is paid to special requests & the entire staff, without exception, are professional, efficient, friendly & cheerful, it is obvious that the management care. Restaurant & bar food is very good. Convenient for public transport.
Review 2:Couldn't turn off air conditioning in bathroom so kept me awake most of night.
Review 3:Lovely staff. Helped me with different pillows and found me an iron and board as mine wasn't working in room.
Review 4:the location was unbelievable close to the terminal, so close we could see the runway from our window, yet despite this we did not hear a single flight take off or landing. the staff were extremely pleasant and very eager to help. our bathroom had a leak and when I highlighted this they could not have been more helpful. they immediately changed our room sending someone with the key to the new room and to help more our things. the room was spacious and clean.
Review 5:Mattress was very bouncy so lots of disturbance, could do with an overhaul. Should have asked for a twin not double bed.
Review 6:No noise despite being beside the airport. Excellent bar food with good service and yummy cocktails. Great easy access to Heathrow, really good choice
Review 7:Bus stop instructions for Heathrow T5 were wrong in the booking page. Also, there has recently been a name change for this hotel, which makes it a bit confusing.
Review 8:Very spacious rooms (especially by UK standards), great value for money. Most importantly, very easy access to airport by local frequent bus (most hotels in the area, unlike this one, use National Express buses which are charge ridiculous amounts for a single ride, and are very infrequent).
Review 9:I think the aircon in our room was broken so it got very very airless. We had trouble finding it but that may just have been my own problem and jetlag
Review 10:Everything really well laid out and comfortable, good bed, good shower, very good breakfast
Review 11:Free bus to and from the airport also on shuttle bus route [not free] . Especialy convenient for BA terminal 5 Comfortable and reasonably priced airport hotel. Good in house restaurant and an Indian restaurant 5 mins walk away.
Review 12:Despit being by the lifts and a 6am exit we didn't notice much noise from outsode our room so had a good nights sleep. Beds were firm but comfy with pillow options. So all good for us. Staff were very welcoming at all times.
Review 13:Walls were very thin, and as an airport hotel obviously people were coming and going at all times late at night and early in the morning. Didn't sleep well as a result: the nearby Premier Inn is a similar price and much better in terms of comfort/noise levels. When I checked in, the hotel also tried to charge me £18 more than the price I'd booked for.
Review 14:Close to Heathrow, so very convenient for my early flight.
Review 15:Very friendly and helpful staff. Natalie at reception went out of her way to help make my arrival simple and pleasant. The restaurant staff were efficient and knowledgable, this together with an excellent steak, made for an enjoyable evening.
Review 16:Not enough small cartons of milk, enough tea and coffee for 10 cups but not 4 milks. Minor problem.
Review 17:Quiet, food excellent , clean room, excellent space in room.
Review 18:Nothing
Review 19:I spent one night in order to catch an early morning flight. The hotel is conveniently located, modern, clean, the staff pleasant, the restaurant good, and the local airport shuttle stops outside about every 10 minutes and is just 3 stops from the airport.
Review 20:The USB port didn't work and that was a slight inconvenience.
Review 21:It was convenient and affordable. There was everything in the hotel that I needed as I didn't want to venture on my own that evening I stayed.
Review 22:I booked a deluxe twin room via booking .com was given a standard double room . when requesting an explanation quote we do not get confirmation from booking .com which I considered as untrue should have had a better explanation by reception staff instead of being given a lame excuse
Review 23:Best Breakfast we had for 10 days brilliant
Review 24:The bed was like a trampoline on wheels. There was a food offer advertised for January which wasn't available in the bar or restaurant.
Review 25:Staff were excellent - friendly & efficient.
Review 26:Did not like the restaurant. Well overpriced for the quality of the food. I do not mind paying restaurant prices for wine but charging 20 quid for a 6 quid bottle of wine was a bit steep.
Review 27:Location
Review 28:the price of breakfast was £15.95 that to me is a bit too much when all you want inthe morning is a couple of slices of toast and coffee even if you have a full breakfast the average price is around £8 with coffee juice and tea or coffee dont know how these hotels make there prices up puts you off having there breakfast think they would sell more at a cheaper price
Review 29:we enjoyed our stay and staff where so friendly and helpful and always pleasant
Review 30:Extremely helpful staff. The location is excellent, with the bus stop for the free bus to airport right outside the hotel. Excellent sound proofing. No noise from busy road outside or from planes taking off.
Review 31:A lift to the under-croft car park would be a massive benefit. More car parking facilities would be good so that a space can be reserved and guaranteed for guests. Even better, the hotel could also offer hotel and parking packages.
Review 32:Great standard of hotel in a good location. Short walk to a shop, restaurants and take away.
Review 33:went to check out and pay for car park only to be told we owed for dinner the previous night which we didn't have!!!!!! but had been charged to our room.
Review 34:cleanliness convenience service all very good
Review 35:Nothing. Would definitely stay again.
Review 36:We thought this hotel would be basic and run of the mill. However we were pleasantly surprised with the lovely little restaurant, the ultra clean and comfortable bedroom and the very friendly staff. I had the best porridge I've ever tasted for breakfast! And the quality of the food was very good.
Review 37:Food is expensive. I spent more on main meal and breakfast than I did on the room.
Review 38:Comfort and cleanliness of the room. Size of the room. TV- I could play my hard drive through it which means I could enjoy my own shows.
Review 39:Nothing to add.
Review 40:Great location and easy parking underneath the hotel. We stayed at this hotel on three occasions in December and have just made another booking.
Review 41:Nothing negative at all.
Review 42:Very convenient to rental car return and nearby petrol station. Free buses stopped in front of the hotel (not to Terminal 4, unfortunately.) Smith's Restaurant in the hotel has an attentive staff and a good menu. Room was very comfortable, overlooked the LHR runway but still quiet. The hotel staff was very helpful with all requests.
Review 43:The shower in the bathroom was too weak.
Review 44:In spite of the Heathrow airport vicinity, the place is quiet and very comfortable. The staff is very nice and helpful.
Review 45:Restaurant food is expensive, but that's par for the course I guess.
Review 46:Location is great, staff were friendly. Really can't complain, it's a good 'airport hotel'.
Review 47:Room décor very tired and Cleanliness of room and bathroom was very poor. Not enough seating or table facility for two persons to eat in room. Not enough towels or toiletries for two persons. Access to car park very poor.
Review 48:The Staff
Review 49:The water pressure was a huge problem. The toilet would not flush and the sink made noises all night. Water flow was a trickle. We could not shower for lack of water. Also, the room was overly crowded with furniture which we had to walk around.
Review 50:The staff was very nice. Bed was comfortable.
Review 51:Whole experience was excellent. Staff friendly and welcoming, very comfortable room (triple glazed windows so no noise yet great view of planes), enjoyable evening meal and a plentiful breakfast. Couldn't ask for more.
Review 52:There is a charge for the shuttle bus to the airport. No complimentary water in room. Not near alternative eating places.
Review 53:Closeness to Heathrow. Efficient check in and out.
Review 54:Old rooms, in need of a good clean and refurbishment..! Long waiting time to check in.
Review 55:Location is good but not easy to get to, not many buses or you pay 10£ Per person return from the airport.
Review 56:There was a misunderstanding with adding a third person to the room. We booked through an independent website so I'm not blaming the hotel for that, however we had contacted them directly as well. One of the staff at reception was very rude and told us we weren't allowed to have 3 people in the room and would have to pay for another room. This was untrue. Obviously it was an unnecessary stress too.
Review 57:Nice to have a free public bus taking you to the hotel which is quite close to the airport & is good for tired travellers carrying rather heavy luggage. Also it's quiet to have a good sleep, which is also crucial for travellers after a long flight
Review 58:Slightly dated bath with shower over. Room at back of hotel so no view...only that of industrial building.
Review 59:After 14 hrs of travelling and flying i was looking forward to a comfortable rest. The room was spacious enough with good storage. It was cosy and welcoming. The bed and pillows were to die for...like floating on clouds. The room was totally soundproof. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. The only downside was a dated bath and shower over, although i stil had a hot refreshing shower. Would recommend....
Review 60:Having my credit card charged with the thirty pound deposit when i had not used any of the extra facilities. Many thanks to the lady in accounts who addressed the matter immediately.when informed.
Review 61:The staff were all very friendly and helpful, all queries were dealt with in a highly professional manner. They are a credit to the hotel. It was my first time at this hotel and i will be booking again for my visits in April./August and November.
Review 62:Well I was in room 237 and again it is triple glazed and therefore quiet BUT the other guests weren't. Lots of bangs and doors closing. PLEASE provide face flannels ! Good grief, I had to use mine which meant I had a damp towel in my bag. Also please put USB chargers next to the bed because most of us want our phones handy particularly considering there is NO clock radio in the room and the only clock is a dimly lit and hard to see clock on the bottom of the TV. Also, I'm sorry guys but I ordered a Chicken Tikka from room service which arrived stone cold and not only was it absolutely not a Tikka it also had NO TASTE whatsoever! Seriously in what alternate universe could that yellow mush be called a tikka ?? Tikka is tomato based, no idea what that was made of and why was it cold ??
Review 63:Location is a definite plus. The Hoppa runs quite regularly and a reasonable five pounds right to the door - but if you're catching a flight be sure to check how long for it to arrive as it can be a bit of a wait sometimes and a taxi to terminal 5 is 16 pounds and terminal 2,3. Is 12 pounds.
Review 64:Could have done with a second pillow but didn't request it so this is not a complaint. The bed moved at the slightest provocation - could have been more stable/grounded but also not really a problem
Review 65:Perfect locality
Review 66:The location of Heathrow Hotel was very important to us because it was within easy reach of most Heathrow Terminals. The service was very good especially the reception staff.
Review 67:The hotel staff introduced me a chauffer taxi in the morning and the driver charged me $29 for 5 minute drive. It was not fair when I thought that I was charged with around $16 for the same distance the day before. I wish the hotel staff introduced me a lisenced black London taxi.
Review 68:It was great to use the super market on the ground floor. It was a wonderful stay.
Review 69:The prices at the restaurant are exorbitant.
Review 70:The hotel is very nice in appearance, including the room furniture. The beds were comfortable. The check-in and check-out was extremely fast because they had ample staff.
Review 71:No lift from basement car park. Out of three lifts only one working which was the case on both my overnight stays i.e 22nd & 28th December.
Review 72:Rooms good size, comfy bed. Very clean and quiet. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food in Smith's Restaurant excellent and not expensive.
Review 73:Nice, comfy, clean room. Good food in restaurant, if a bit pricey - but perhaps that is norm for near London (we live in the provinces!). We used it as a stop over before a morning flight. It is very good for this.
Review 74:the connection to the airport is not that good. There is a free bus but not very frequent early in the morning. The hotel called me a taxi that was quite expensive.
Review 75:the room was very spacious and clean
Review 76:Second time staying here before catching a morning flight. Excellent hotel in every way. Very good room service choice and quality. Will certainly stay here again whenever we are flying out of Heathrow.
Review 77:Good location for overnight stop at Heathrow. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Hotel locations was only a quick shuttle bus ride to Heathrow terminals.
Review 78:Would prefer a room away from the lifts - in No.172 you can hear them from early morning - but will remember to mention this when next booking
Review 79:Effortless - anything we needed was attended too immediately - comfortable room - good breakfast - altogether a positive experience - will definitely come back!
Review 80:The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was really well set out and the bed was comfortable. Food is available 24/7 which is also nice
Review 81:New management installing new systems and coping with old ones, once sorted no problems I hope. Difficult to find, easy to miss, new sign posting required possibly in hand.
Review 82:Modern hotel, well placed for the airport, under recent new management.
Review 83:Breakfast was a little cold although we were virtually first in at 6.00am!
Review 84:Comfort of the room with runway views; good evening meal in the restaurant; ice machines in the corridors.
Review 85:All good.
Review 86:Arrived late from the airport on the free bus which stops opposite the hotel. I was their 'guest of the day' to my surprise. Nice bowl of fruit awaiting me in my very comfortable, quiet room with a view of a runway. Slept very well. The staff were exeptionally helpful when I discovered a broken zip on my suitcase and fixed it with string so that I could be on my way. Great breakfast.
Review 87:No drinking water provided in bedrooms.Worst of all, sheets changed only every 3 days. This was shocking to me, and the first time it has happened to me in any hotel, anywhere in the world - and I travel extensively. Also hotel looks very shabby and run-down, but I was told that renovations will be underay shortly.
Review 88:I want to commend in particular Disney who was very helpful and also Jackie - both at reception. I also want to mention Su, a guy from housekeeping, who was helpful in supplying a bed board without delay.
Review 89:If you want to pay in cash, u are not able to pay in euros or dollars! You need only England pounds.. And furthermore, there is no cantor to change money! Also you must pay the deposit! So ,be careful and be ready to have money for it. My room wasn't available to open(3d floor) ..i needed to be back to reception several times.
Review 90:Great location and free wifi!:))
Review 91:When the fan kicked in to regulate the temperature, there seemed to be a smell of diesel/exhaust in the room. Room over warm for sleeping (for my prefence)! Shower head difficult to position as a little stiff. Breakfast poor value. Tastelss rubbery scrambled egg, bacon kept warm too long and cold tomato. Not good. Wouldn't have breakfast again, especially at the price!
Review 92:Reception changed my twin bedded room to a double which was much better.
Review 93:Breakfast is small and not tasty but they have free decaf coffee which is rear.
Review 94:Easy to get from the airport by free public transport, very clean and very quiet rooms
Review 95:On check out I asked front desk for a taxi to tube station. What I got was a very pushy dude in a Mercedes who charged me twelve pounds and returned me to Heathrow for crying out loud to get on the tube from there ! Good grief, if I'd have known that I would've gotten the FIVE pound Hoppa !! Driver spent most of the time trying to "upsell" me to taking him all the way to St. Pancras Station for sixty five pounds (tube is six pounds so yeah, bit of a difference dude) I dunno, kind of spoiled my nice stay. So FYI if you need the tube either call your own mini cab or get the Hoppa for a fiver.
Review 96:This will likely be my go to hotel for when I fly in from the States. It's extremely convenient to Heathrow and the Hoppa bus 54 arrived quickly and only five pounds and ten minutes to the front door. I was exhausted and room was super clean, bed was comfortable and room QUIET!! Very much appreciated fast and courteous check in plus this hotel happily accommodated my last minute date change. Oh by the way, room service meal was delicious.
Review 97:Staff at the front desk especially were downright rude. The staff at breakfast were a bit better but not what I'd call helpful or friendly.....!
Review 98:Hotel was clean. The breakfast was good but expensive.
Review 99:I left my wash kit at the hotel in my room with a very expensive bottleof aftershave, contacted the hotel the next day and surprise surprisenothing handed in. Obviously you can't trust the staff!
Review 100:Good price, good location
Review 101:Ordered evening meal with bottled beer. Food came, beer did not as my choice was not chilled. Sent waiter for a chilled bottle of any beer to drink with food. Waited but beer did not come for 20 mins, brought by different waiter who said my 2nd choice was not chilled either. I had finished food by that time. Very poor room service. It was unreasonably expensive too. I normally stay at nearby K West but thought I would try Dorsett. I think I will go back to K West next visit.
Review 102:Convenient location, helpful reception and concierge staff, clean, room acceptable size. Generally OK hotel but nothing exceptional.
Review 103:Room service food was dreadful. No one asked at checkout if all was ok with stay.
Review 104:Good value - room wasn't anything special but had everything required for a good night's sleep.
Review 105:Comfortable bed. Views of the runway. Big bath. Large fluffy towels. Don't use the Hoppa to Terminal 4 - you could walk in less time than it takes to cruise round all the other hotels. Better to get a taxi or the public bus
Review 106:It looks a bit tired, particularly the corridor carpets. Replacing them would make a great difference to the impression. The bar area was disappointing - very stark, the TV was too loud.
Review 107:The room was comfortable and clean. Ideal for one night before a trip.
Review 108:We had a very good meal the night we arrived. When we collected our car the battery was flat and Gary onyour staff was very helpful in getting us on our way. Many thanks
Review 109:Absence of hot chocolate and flannel
Review 110:Airport connecting bus, friendliness of staff, gym, restaurant, shop, comfort, cleanliness, sound proofing room, bed
Review 111:Comfy bed and had everything in the room that I required. Convenient restaurant for single dinner but would have preferred not to have been placed in the middle of the dining area.
Review 112:In the morning we had to get to Heathrow terminal 5 the man on the desk told us there was a free bus 423 opposite or we could pay pounds 5 each to get the shuttle bus outside as this was the first to go..They don't tell you that you have to pick up from many other hotels also .If you are in hurry this is not a good idea plus you have paid 5 pounds.
Review 113:Staff extremely nice when we checked in, very helpful we could not fault them
Review 114:WE WERE A GROUP OF FOUR LADIES ON OUR WAY TO NEWYORK. OUR ROOMS WERE VERY COMFORTABLE. THE STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND THE FOOD FOR BOTH EVENING DINNER AND BREAKFAST FIRST CLASS. AN EXCELLENT START TO OUR HOLIDAY.
Review 115:None - have stayed here several times in 2015
Review 116:As per other posts - Hotel can be reached easily via several busses (75, 76, U3, 441) from Heathrow Central bus station these are all free, faster and more frequent than the expensive and slow Hotel Hoppa bus. Good room, excellent wi-fi, tea / coffee making, even includes an iron (!).
Review 117:No complaints - 4th time stayed there this year
Review 118:No complaints - a good stay, 3rd time this year.
Review 119:Hotel can be reached easily via several busses (75, 76, U3, 441) from Heathrow Central bus station these are all free, faster and more frequent than the expensive and slow Hotel Hoppa bus. Good room, excellent wi-fi, tea / coffee making, even includes an iron (!).
Review 120:Was under the impression the cost of the hotel stay included the shuttle service. However, we had to pay that separately. Shuttle service was punctual and efficient; just wished it was a free service provided by the hotel, because it was one of the reasons we chose to stay overnight there by Heathrow.
Review 121:Bed was comfortable. Hotel room was clean and had all the bells and whistles for a comfortable overnight stay. Pleasantly surprised we were not disturbed by noise from plane takeoffs, despite the close proximity from Heathrow. Staff was pleasant and helpful - check-in and check-out went by smoothly Breakfast was better than expected.
Review 122:Same set-up, more or less, as the Premier Inn further down Bath Rd. but closer to the airport and actually cheaper on the night I stayed. Would recommend. Less than $20 for a cab to the airport.
Review 123:Food at the restaurant was super expensive. Windows couldn't be opened at all. It has the typical chain hotel atmosphere, which is a bit cold and distant.
Review 124:Very close to the airport. Staff were always very attentive and problem solving. Nice and comfortable place.
Review 125:A comfortable hotel in a relatively quiet position. Always spotlessly clean. Very friendly staff. Great to have the car park under the hotel. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years, and standards have been maintained at a very high level.
Review 126:After a gruelling 25 hour journey this hotel was like an oasis , friendly , professional and smiling staff greeted us , a clean comfy bed , plenty of hot water and a fabulous breakfast . Would certainly stop again .
Review 127:Note that free shuttle takes 45 minutes to airport & not direct to terminal 4 & the one at subcharge takes around 25 minutes for (£ 4,5) which is a reasonable price - direct buses to all terminals TV channels
Review 128:Breakfast was ok Staff were very helpful Cleaniness & comfort Soundproof room which is a must near airports
