Reviews for Hôtel Sainte Odile

Review 1:No one at reception when we arrived, even though we arrived at the expected time. As parking was difficult it caused anxiety while we waited for someone to turn up, while risking a parking fine.

Review 2:Very convenient for the centre of town.

Review 3:Only one new member of the stuff was speaking english. She was very nice and very kind. There is no parking place near, but we found parking the next road

Review 4:The place of the hotel is very good, right in the middle of the town. The town is beautiful. The hotel is lovely

Review 5:Unable to connect to wifi

Review 6:Location is amazing. Muriel is very patient with attempting to break through the language barrier, very kind. Breakfast fresh and plentiful. Rooms very updated and cozy.

Review 7:The only issue I had is that I was on the second floor, street side and the music and DJ from the nearby club was loud. Seems like it was right outside my window until 1 AM which made it hard to sleep.

Review 8:The room was nice, the sheets clean, and the shower warm. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

Review 9:Unfortunately there were several guests (fools) on our floor who were partying up till 3:00 AM, dead drunk and screaming. The only thing that might have helped that was front desk people on duty during the night. Apparently there is a bar closely that is open late in the night. If it hadn't been for that, it would have been perfect.

Review 10:Fabulous location and comfortable bed and room.

Review 11:Well, looks like the hotel is rather from the 70ties, but the price is more than fair. - nothing to complaint!

Review 12:Location is perfect - right in the middle of the town. Price compared with what you get is more than just fair.

Review 13:As we had a room on the second floor, a lift would be usefull.

Review 14:This hotel, in traditional Alsace style, is situated in the centre of Obernai. For only 8 euro a day, we could hire a garage in a private parking, which was very easy. There is an excellent restaurant where they serve good regional food. The staff is very friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was rather small but well equipped.

Review 15:The hotels interior over all wasn't quiet what I had expected. The breakfast was disappointing for €8 (I think) The parking is a MASSIVE issue for me, we drove, and there is nowhere to park nearby, I had to do 3 trips to the car, the hotel is in a pedestrian only area so you can't park very close and there were alot of stairs to the first floor so this was fairly arduous. Whilst the room was lovely, I think it was a bit pricey for the hotel compared to the other places in the same price range that I had stayed in nearby.

Review 16:I stayed with my mother, we took a room with 2 double beds, it was very comfortable & clean. The hotel rang and changed our room as my mother has had a knee replacement and didn't want too many stairs. The service was good, friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was good, and the shower was very good.

Review 17:Guy on reception when we arrived was just rude he never did speak,in French German or English. We had a very small room up in the Gods. And parking is a nightmare.

Review 18:Lovely old traditional building. With smoking rooms.

Review 19:The rooms are small but, in my humble opinion, if you're spending more time in you room other than getting ready and sleeping, you're dumb. Also, the air conditioner kept making an obnoxious noise allllll niiiiiight long. Ugh! But we told them and hopefully they fixed that.

Review 20:It was the absolute perfect location for Obernai. The middle of everything and views of "sites to see" from the windows.

Review 21:Lot's of French tourists, especially in the street of Hotel Saint Odile.

Review 22:Good continental breakfast! Clean room, clean towels every day. Situated in centre of the town.

Review 23:A very good breakfast

Review 24:Underground parking

Review 37:nothing special

Review 38:Location , in the center. Food and wine. Friendly and helpful staff.

Review 39:Wifi only worked for one device at a time. We probably could have askedfor more passwords for multiple devices. Breakfast was 8 euro notincluded with room. Parking was extra. We still loved the wholeexperience!

Review 40:Location was great. It was right near center marketplatz. Many wonderfulrestaurants were nearby. The room was spacious, newly renovated, cleanand comfortable for the three of us. Staff was friendly and food wasvery good.

Review 41:The Wi-Fi didn't work above the 1st floor.

Review 42:Location was excellent. Staff were very helpful and pleasant, expesially in changing the double room for a twin that we had asked for. The restaurant was good and breakfast was very good.

Review 43:Parking was advertised "on site".....hotel garage was not onsite and impossible to find on my own.....someone from the staffactually had to get in car with me and drive to the garage. Theadvertisement should simply state the facts...hotel parking is offsite, requires a reservation and costs 8 euro per night......thiswould have been valuable information ....otherwise hotel was adequateand as expected

Review 44:Staff very helpful

Review 45:Underground parking arangements elaborate. No lift in hotel. Need to befit to handle your luggage.

Review 46:Excellent central location. Fabulous old buildings. Hotel to modernstandards. Nice breakfast. Integral restaurant very good but excellentlocal wines expensive - but then France is expensive. Availableunderground parking necessary - tiny streets.

Review 47:Bathroom floor wasn't properly clean, The room we were assigned was slightly dark, We had to pay to park our bikes 3.50 EUR per bike per day- which was parked in the breakfast room during the nights but in the morning had been moved unlocked to the street in front of the hotel.

Review 48:Bedroom was clean and pleasant to sleep in, staff was very helpful.

Review 49:The dirt in the bathroom, the poor soundproofing (noisy street).

Review 50:The picturesque setting

Review 51:Small rooms. Parking away from hotel, no facility to unload at hotel.

Review 56:Dim lighting in the room. The hotel looked and felt "tired".

Review 57:The waiter in the adjoining restaurant was entertaining.

Review 58:Room was old, shower was backed up.

Review 59:Right on market street. Very good restaraunt.
