Reviews for Hotel Le Postillon

Review 1:Perhaps a little expensive for everything we had...

Review 2:A nice old "converted" Coaching House - Good location in centre of town. Very nice owners.

Review 3:The proprietors were friendly and helpful, even though my French was pretty basic. Although located on a main road, the hotel was remarkably quiet. The view of the Pyrenees in the distance from our balcony was magnificent!

Review 4:The owner was brusque and unapologetic. The location is slightly remote from the town centre The room was extremely small for four.

Review 5:The receptionist was charming and noticed one of the beds had been slept in and was very apologetic. There's ample free parking.

Review 6:Room had just been decorated so smelled of paint. Hot water took a long time to come through.

Review 7:Location was good. Bed good. Easy to park right outside hotel

Review 8:The room was OK and appropriate for the price. The toilet made a loud noise. It was easy to put up with these things though. We just needed a good place to stay before heading back home.

Review 9:The people that run this place are so friendly and helpful! They suggested a great restaurant within walking distance and we loved it!

Review 10:Rooms a bit small and walls very thin - could hear people in next room talking.

Review 11:Hotel very easy to find, in central location with free parking right outside the door. Within short walk of restaurants and attractions. Rooms arranged around a pretty, leafy courtyard, which reduced noise and offered privacy from the street. Owners very helpful and friendly. We left a watch and a ring behind and they kept them safe for us.

Review 12:No internet assistance for printing boarding passes. advice on airport distance not very helpful. But tried their best.

Review 13:Friendly, helpful willing to adjust breakfast to suit our early needs.

Review 14:Hot water was tepid. Had to ask for more towels No hard soap; just a couple of sachets which are not practical when you want to wash your hands

Review 15:Very fast wifi Courtyard bedroom Friendly and well situated

Review 16:Dank , musty smell , we had the family room and still small in space , shower in the bath had only a metre of hose and no bracket to attach the shower head to . The parking was free only because you are in a free parking zone on the street , if you can find a park.

Review 17:Very close to the old town

Review 18:The reception service was poor, a plague on counter said we speak english but the manager said 'non' only french / spanish. Dark and dingy reception area and shabby outside passage to room. The room was very basic, with lino on the floor, a bit 1960's BB cheap UK guest- house standard I would say. Overall I got the impression of a shabby hotel, very overpriced for the standard of decor and service

Review 19:Location enabled free parking

Review 20:- lack of privacy (windows on the patio with everyone passing in front of it) - walls are not very soundproof between rooms (I heard my neighbour snoring !)

Review 21:- close to a free parking - very close to town center (10 min walks) - nice and clean rooms - staff was very nice and helped me find my way in Pau - quality of breakfast

Review 22:Ground floor rooms are a bit functional and subject to a lot of people passing to and fro. Ask for an upstairs room.

Review 23:Just a 10 minute stroll to the main shopping area and the Balcony de Pyrennees. Cheap taxi ride from the station. Plenty of free public parking opposite and good bars locally serving both lunch and evening meals. Friendly patron.

Review 24:Quality is very poor, why its even on Booking.com is beyond me. Picked a duff hotel when booking this one

Review 25:Not a great deal. If you want basic then it'd for you…..no luxury here.

Review 26:Nothing

Review 27:location and the nice courtyard

Review 41:cloisons insonorisent très peu...

Review 42:Hotel in an old French Coaching House

Review 43:Rooms a bit dated.

Review 44:Easy walk into centre and found an excellent Indian restaurant.

Review 45:Everything. I would take it out of your booking.com hotel list.

Review 46:dirty,80 euros is steal, carpet with bugs, stairs with no lights,I count the hours to get out.

Review 47:espect the worst !!!! no choke only good internet with 32 inches tv

Review 48:We were located in a room on the ground floor at the back in a courtyard,..it was to say the least a bit dated...

Review 49:I was very lucky to get a parking space outside the hotel, you could be left with a long walk otherwise. Hotel is in a ideal location for getting around town.

Review 50:Not very clean. The building is old and our bathroom was full with bugs and was dirty. We had to leave the key in a common key-hanger and anyone could pick up any key. Not very secure.

Review 51:Free parking. Short walking distance from the center.

Review 52:smoking smell at night. it is not fresh air on the reception and breakfast hall. bad smell in morning early due to no fresh air changing.

Review 53:wifi access, the location

Review 54:Basic- you get what you pay for. Decor was very plain. No bar fridge or tea/coffee making facilities, though there was a hair dryer.

Review 55:Clean & tidy room (not sound proof) in quiet location, pleasant courtyard, easy & free parking in street, very close to old town & shopping district. We found a wonderful restaurant nearby. Velo hire point directly opposite.

Review 56:The rooms were a bit small but it was an antique building.

Review 57:Helpful and caring hotel owners. Asked for eggs and cheese and ham at breakfast and owner delivered it to us..Mentioned it the night before and she remembered.

Review 58:1. The shower head wouldn't sit in the shower 'pole'2. No lift - not so convenient if you have a heavy suitcase, like I did

Review 59:1. The location2. TV - the biggest TV I have seen in a small room. Big thumbs up here! 3. The balcony

Review 60:You could say the hotel is a little dated but it has a certain oldeworld French charm.

Review 61:Monsieur and Madame are the most friendly hoteliers and provide a verywarm welcome. The rooms were spotless as were the towels and Linen. Forus the ideal location travelling between Spain and uk handy for localrestuarants.

Review 62:Very helpful staff, great location, always clean room!

Review 63:Recommended only if you speak Spanish or French. Pretty basic place to stay if you do not expect extra comfort - location is the main advantage.

Review 64:Stale smell in reception area. Grubby public areas.

Review 65:Good value for money. Clean and fairly spacious room.

Review 66:Bathrooms could do with retiling. Showing a bit of age.

Review 67:The age and history of the building and proximity to town.

Review 68:Very limited English and floor in bedroom was uneven so door was difficult to open/close

Review 69:Staff very friendly and accomodating

Review 70:Everything else

Review 71:Parking just outside the hotel

Review 72:Great location: Just a 10 minute walk to sites. Plenty of parking, WiFi, clean room. Good value.

Review 73:Room was clean and comfortable.

Review 74:Very accommodating staff, Madame speaks some English. Short walk to the old town/chateau royale. Easy on-street parking.
