Reviews for Hall Farm Barn
Review 1:Location was tranquil ideal for a quiet night away. Host was perfect did everything she possibly could. Will definitely go back in the near future
Review 2:Not many signs leading you there. And might take some time for them to prepare the place. So either make the reservation at least a day earlier or call them and make sure that they have recieved the reservation and are ready to accomodate you.
Review 3:Located in a peaceful rural area. On a peak with beautiful view. Can see the sheep right across the barn. Very clean bedding and towels. There were even film dvds and a dvd player. One wakes up to the sounds of nature. Just close your eyes and listen to the birds, sheep, grass and tree leaves in the breeze... Wish we could stay longer.
Review 4:The shower in the bathroom was a bit weak and took a bit of faffing to get working properly. "Continental Breakfast" was a loaf of bread a pint if milk and cereal. Not worth £16 for two. We ended up buying our own food. Car parking was a bit if an epic until a compromise was made.
Review 5:Location was brilliant, but could have benefited from a few sign posts giving the location. Bed was super comfy and the room was warm and bright.
Review 6:Fantastic location for sightseeing anywhere in the park. But also a fantastic place to spend a few days without even leaving the farm. We left relaxed and refreshed after waking up to the sound of the mountain stream and sleeping in the comfy beds. Our only regret is not staying longer! Thankyou Jane!
Review 7:Nothing at all.
Review 8:We stayed in the one bedroom barn with a large shower room and continental breakfast. The room was spacious, clean, warm and cosy and we slept great in the double bed. The £7 breakfast is a loaf of local bread with butter, jam and marmalade; yoghurt, flapjacks, apple juice and muslei. Plus unlimited tea and coffee. It's all organic local produce and you can take what you don't eat with you - so well worth the money. We had complete privacy and the most amazing view from the mountain. Loved every minute and would very much like to go back. You can get a taxi to Crickhowell for £9 and I recommend The Bear for dinner.
Review 9:Nothing
Review 10:The perfect combination of feeling like you're in the middle of nowhere and having everything you could want or need within a short distance. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and the views are phenomenal, like I said.. I can't wait to go back :)
Review 11:You get a text message with directions but some signage would give comfort. The isolation results from its position at the end of a road/track on a hillside.
Review 12:The view - even in the rain. Hall Farm Barn is not for those who crave the company of others, discos etc. It is very quiet! God pub food in the village at the point where you turn off the A40.
Review 13:SO cosy and warm even when it was blowig a fake outside!
Review 14:Fantastic position at the top of a hill overlooking the valley. Full view of the sunset and no sound at all except for the birds.
Review 15:We had a comfortable stay in a wonderful location high on the hillside, below the Sugarloaf mountain.
Review 16:Leaving
Review 17:excellant location. Amazing view. Very relaxed staff Warm and comfortable place to stay
Review 18:Jane is the best host imaginable and the place is taken out of Tolkien's "The Hobbit"
Review 19:Good value Nice location
Review 20:Wish I lived a bit nearer so I could go more often!
Review 21:Fantastic location, super comfy bed, everything required was there.
Review 22:going home
Review 23:setting on the side of valley with great views. Accommodation was superb but very welcoming. Jane was a great host
Review 24:The lounge seats were a little 'low-backed'
Review 25:All facilities available - very helpful owner.
Review 26:We had a really lovely holiday. I have no negatives.
Review 27:Friendly and welcoming. Homely and snug.
Review 28:sharing a room with a fridge. Although the owner is happy for you to switch it off to allow you to sleep, from a food hygiene standpoint it might be better to site it in the games room next door. Please note this is only a minor quibble - I am a very light sleeper and so am more sensitive to noise than most folk.
Review 29:the welcome from the family who own the property - especially the lady of the household. the location of the property which allowed the visitor to "switch off" from Life's hectic pace. the amount of thought and effort made by the owners to cover every eventuality. the peace of its surroundings.
Review 30:The lokation was very nice with a stunning view. Owner nice and helpful. We stayed at the annex, the main is as I understand it a bit grander.
Review 31:You made a big mistake in the booking through e,mail!
Review 32:The welcome was great.
