Reviews for The New Inn
Review 1:Very loud, thumping music coming from the bar until very late. Smell of smoke in the room - bedding, curtains, etc.
Review 2:Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Third visit, and would probably stay again - with slight reservations about smokiness of room.
Review 3:The shower over the bath had quite low pressure so ran slowly. This is a minor point as everything else was good.
Review 4:This is a nice welcoming pub in the centre of Sandwich. Our room was clean & comfortable & had all we needed. Tissues, cotton wool & some toiletries were provided. The bathroom was spotless. Breakfast was good, and we ate in the pub twice, good food & good value. The pub had a small car park, which was handy. We really enjoyed our stay.
Review 5:horrible beds, room made up of two single beds with bed side cabinet in between. Both beds creeks with slightest movement. Staff were ok but few were clearly not happy being there!
Review 6:Easy parking and central. Good breakfast and breakfast served by a friendly old guy as opposite to young miserable bar staff!
Review 7:Very narrow beds (I was in a twin room). St Peter's church rings the chimes through the night!
Review 8:Well located in the attractive old town. Efficient breakfast service. Good modern bathroom.
Review 9:I was a late arrival and they called me en route to see how I was getting on and also offered to come out to give directions as there were local road closures.
Review 10:All the staff were extremely friendly, allowing our group ( as guests ) to enjoy the bar facillities beyond the normal expected hours. The location is excellent sited in the center of Sandwich town, but even considering our rooms were over looking the High Street there was no noise at all.
Review 11:The staff were very friendly and welcoming. My room was very comfy and had everything I needed. Breakfast next morning was excellent, cooked to order and piping hot!
Review 12:Located centrally, no more then 10 minutes walk to most historic areas, several other good pubs in easy stroll - less then 5 minutes. Staff very friendly, Breakfast marvellous and served hot.
Review 13:No muesli at breakfast and no fruit. Loud background noise in room until I went to sleep at about 10.45 pm. I think it was an extractor fan in the kitchen as it was on at 2 pm as well. This was unpleasant but I had ear plugs. I woke in the night about 2.30 am and the room was extremely quiet.
Review 14:Location, friendly helpful staff and comfortable room.
Review 15:No soaps or shampoos in the bathroom and the bed squeeked every time I moved.
Review 16:Hotel and pub right in the middle of town which had nice and clean rooms, food served in the pub was really good a nice atmosphere with pleasant staff.
Review 17:The breakfast was good and gave us a vegetarian option but it would have been nice if the breakfast had included some more healthy options such as yoghurt and fresh fruit.
Review 18:Very good location, value for money
Review 19:Friendly Staff, cheap beer, room comfortable albeit a bit small. Good breakfast. Dave was very helpful and booked us in for dinner at another pub as we were late.
Review 20:in the centre of of Sandwich, comfortable room with a good shower. Also very amenable hosts who did not mind waiting up for us for a very late arrival (1am).
Review 21:The room was well appointed, tastefullly decorated with comfortable beds. Staff very friendly. Good choice of food and drink in the bar/restaurant at very reasonable prices.
Review 22:The price - they were the cheapest; as I am on a low income, this was important. However, the customer service was very good as was the cooking, so they've done it right on all counts. I'd recommend them to anyone.
Review 23:Nothing to dislike. Staff very helpful and polite.
Review 24:Very central location. Easy parking at accommodation. Easy for walking and looking at various places
Review 25:The noise from the extractor fans and that they played music in the pub
Review 26:I liked the fact that the New Inn had a car park and the room was very comfortable.
Review 27:Bedroom decoration and bedding was a little dated. There wasn't much room at the end of the bed so difficult to get past . There was a deep rumbling noise from extract fan or air conditioning unit downstairs. This stopped about 9pm but started again at 7am.
Review 28:Breakfast, towels and toiletries.
Review 29:Some noise until closing time but hey, it's a working pub! Any sensible traveller will always have earplugs! :-)

Review 35:Great location, friendly staff. I didn't have a breakfast, but I'm informed they're good. Initially, I was going to have breakfast and told one of the guys I wanted to leave as early after 7.00am as poss. "no problem, we'll have a breakfast ready for you" That's good service.
Review 36:It could do with a little sound proofing!
Review 37:My room was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and although the menu was a little limited the food was very good, both evening meal and breakfast.
Review 38:Squeaks from pub sign on wall directly outside window took ages to identify and as we live in country where very quiet, took a bit of getting used to. Was told in the morning that offending sign was very shortly to be permanently removed
Review 39:Great atmosphere, good food choices at reasonable prices, comfortable well furnished rooms with plenty of drawer and hanging space - decent sized towels!
