Reviews for Maison 76

Review 1:We have nothing bad to report apart from the fact that it rained hard during our stay. That having been said, the lounge of Maison 76 provided a great place for a retreat!

Review 2:Maison 76 is an absolute delight. It was our wedding anniversary and Tim acted as the perfect host by going to the florist for the roses in advance of our stay, providing the perfect meal for two and ensuring that we were made to feel at home. If you want a bog standard hotel, go somewhere else. If you want something delightfully different, book now!

Review 3:Only drawback is off street parking

Review 4:Beautifully decorated- good balance between modern and traditional. Tim was very helpful and welcoming. Good location in the centre of town.

Review 5:We loved the decor, the architecture and how special and personal Maison 76 felt. Tim was a fantastic host, he greeted us with a platter of wine, cheese and ham, served the the gorgeous drawing room. He advised us on restaurants and phoned ahead to secure me some veggie options at Froggies Tavern, described as a carnivores haven! Breakfast was special too, apple juice pressed by himself, home made jams, hand made croissants and yoghurt from the local farmer. We'll be back without doubt.

Review 6:The beautiful building with it's eclectic mix of furnishings right in the centre of the charming town of Montreuil. The unobtrusive but ever helpful host.

Review 7:The house is beautifully decorated and was an amazing place to stay for a weekend away. Tim was a fantastic host, with wine in the sitting room on arrival and a delicious breakfast. I would recommend staying here to anyone.

Review 8:Our host Tim showed us to our splendid room and then invited us for an aperitif with wine, parma ham and cheese. This is more like staying with an old friend than a B&B. This town house has been lovingly restored and is a pleasure to stay in. Tim offers a list of his favoured restaurants. Breakfast was delicious, the whole experience is just perfect for a short drive to the ferry or a visit to The Wine Society.

Review 9:There is nothing you could ever possibly dislike!

Review 10:As per all the previous feedback - Maison 76, Tim and Montrueil itself are all absolutely fantastic. Brilliant set up - welcoming, comfy, spotless B&B with excellent breakfasts and a superb accommodating host - check out the garden and the cake for tea! Only 40 mins from the tunnel. Wonderful local restaurants - Froggys is a must. Lovely market town with historical ramparts and well signposted mapped and varied walks. The locals are friendly and helpful too.

Review 11:Maison 76 is absolutely amazing - I couldn't recommend it more!!! Tim is a wonderful host and living the dream (I'm green with envy)! His home is fabulous and really quite special! The garden a joy to escape to with a great book - cocks crowing and church bells ringing quietly in the background! I've never slept so soundly, nor had a break where I felt so relaxed and so rejuvenated.... The beauty of Montreuil and Maison 76 are good for the Soul - an absolute 'must'!!

Review 12:Lovely house and charming owners who were very pleasant and helpful. Excellent facilities and beautiful individual rooms to a very high specification. Would definitely go again.

Review 13:The owner was delightful. The house was a dream to stay in. The little garden was perfect for afternoon tea and the last rays of sunshine. There was an open pantry with fresh cake everyday. We didn't want to leave. A little jem.

Review 14:Maison 76 was absolutely charming and we will definitely stay there again. Our room was beautifully appointed and the bathroom replete with all mod-cons. There were very nice tea and coffee making facilities in the room which was an added perk. We had a glass of champagne in the lovely garden before dining in-house Downton Abbey style! The proprietor, Tim, is very hospitable and a good cook. We enjoyed eating at the hotel so much that we would recommend it to anyone who wants a romantic dining experience for two -- we were all alone, candle light, classical music -- or a small private dinner party. The living room/salon was really comfortable and artistically appointed, making it the perfect spot for a read, cup of tea or a glass of wine and a chat. All told, we were very impressed.

Review 15:Everything! Tim was an excellent host, he was exceptionally helpful. The house is beautiful, absolute perfection. Thank you Tim for helping to make our stay so wonderful.

Review 20:The location of Maison 76 couldn't be better - only a few minutes walk away from bars and restaurants. Our room was luxurious and clean with an amazing view over the beautiful garden. In addition to this, we received outstanding service from the Proprietor, Tim. He made our trip very special, and we would not hesitate to recommend Maison 76 to others. Already planning to go back !!!

Review 21:Slight road noise in street facing room but don't think that can be overcome as there is double glazing already.

Review 22:Everything. This is a fantastic place and I will always come back here. Tim is extremely helpful, the atmosphere is very relaxed, the house and garden are superb and the summer house that rotates to follow the sun and pool are great. You can help yourself to wine and cake (at extra cost) and breakfast was home made. Pillows and duvet lovely and a proper hairdryer and multi UK adaptor. Nice tea and coffee in the room. Can't wait to go back.

Review 23:Wonderfully decorated with huge attention to detail in everything offered. Lots of little touches such as tea, cake and recommendations for places to see and things to do.

Review 24:Having to leave.

Review 25:The whole experience was fantastic. Tim was the perfect host and we felt truly pampered. The house is amazing and the recommendations for dinner were spot on as well as the wonderful wine shop who supply Maison 76 and the fresh croissants. One night was not long enough, we will most definitely be visiting again as we didn't get time to enjoy the garden enough.
