Review 1：Very nice and helpfull people at the reception, location is great in the heart of Amboise. Rooms and bathrooms were big and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing!!! This was the third time we visit Amboise and I would definetly return to Pavillion des Lys!

Review 4：They could do with Tea/coffee making facilities in the room, however they will bring you anything if you ask. Our room was a little small, perfect for us though as only used it for sleeping really, they would have changed it if we had asked as they were very accommodating - no real negatives to say.

Review 5：Very clean and comfortable - big bed and lovely deep clean bath with lots of hot running water. Great customer service and attention to detail. Luxury fittings and furniture and robes and slippers were supplied for use. The owners could not do enough for us. Wine served in the lounge is a very reasonable price for a hotel. I would certainly recommend a stay as the location in the heart of Amboise is perfect for trips out and there is lots to see in walking distance.

Review 8：This was one of the nicest places we have stayed in several visits to France. 18th century furnishings with modern conveniences and appliances in a 16th century building that has been recently renovated. Our room had a spectacular view of the cathedral. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Review 9：The beds were too hard to be considered comfortable, it was difficult to sleep on. It is also difficult to maneuver a car out of the entrance, you have to take an immediate hard right and reverse in order to make it around the corner, so if you have a car just make sure you're completely clear of any traffic.

Review 10：We stayed in a little cottage off to the side of the main house. It was so cute and had a small loft. The bathroom was large for a European bathroom with very nice facilities. It was right in the heart of town and very quick to walk to the Chateau d'Amboise. Their breakfast was great and the breakfast room is so beautiful.

Staff are very helpful and the huge bedroom was very comfortable - separate dressing room and very large bathroom with bath and shower. Delicious breakfast in the sunny dining room and plenty of information on offer on things to do in the area. An easy stroll to the local restaurants and shops.

We had the The Tradition Room which had a really big comfortable bed and bathroom with a huge bath! The hotel atmosphere was elegant and welcoming and we felt that nothing would have been too much trouble. We had a delightful stay in Amboise and would love to return to Le Pavilion des Lys.

We had a huge room decorated in the style of an old French farmhouse with a lovely modern bathroom and a view onto the terrace. Review 48：We did not have a room in the main building, but outside across the garden.would have appreciated being told this on advance, as I don't think we would have booked had we known. It was very cold as we stayed in late October, and the room was very cold. There was a small heater / Air conditioner on the wall which blew out cold air.we tried repeatedly to increase the temperature and finally asked at reception if someone could look at the wall heater in the room. However it remained cold.Very overpriced breakfast, so we went to one of the many coffee shops nearby instead. Much better value.

We stayed in the prestige suite which has its own first floor terrace which was especially useful given that we wanted to spend afternoons at the hotel so our toddler could nap. The hotel was expensive, but superbly located and the staff so helpful that we felt that it was money well spent.

We asked for a table to be booked for dinner. No one informed us that that was not possible as the hotel had changed hands and no longer had a restaurant. We had to eat elsewhere and had a disappointing expensive meal so our detour was completely wasted.
