Reviews for Brixham House

Review 1:My single room overlooked the main road and was sometimes a bit noisy. It wasn't too much of a problem but could be in the busy season. I believe that there are other rooms that have windows facing the rear. So best to ask when booking.

Review 2:The hosts were friendly and attentive. The breakfasts were great. It is the first time that I have seen Eggs Benedict and Eggs Royale on a B&B breakfast menu.

Review 3:nothing

Review 4:your not right in town with all the noise, but you can be there in 10 mins. fantastic owners, nothing is too much trouble. will definatley be back!

Review 5:Easily the best bed and breakfast I have stayed at. The hosts are really friendly and helpful, room had everything I needed and the breakfast choice and quality was excellent. The location is perfect and will definitely be booking again...

Review 6:Parking was a bit tight but doable. We couldn't control the temperature in the room. Breakfast room furniture was slightly uncomfortable.

Review 7:Quick walk into brixham, breakfast was fair. Room was clean and bright. Shower was nice and hot, good water pressure.

Review 16:The guest house was brilliant the staff were lovely and friendly. The location was brilliant and just a little walk away you are in brixham harbor. The breakfast was fantastic and very scrummy.

Review 17:Everything about Brixham House was what we needed at that time.We needed to unwind and did so in a clean, quiet and friendly environment. We would definitely go again.

Review 18:The owners were welcoming and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious and clean, with a clean bathroom. The breakfasts were delicious and there was plenty of it.

Review 19:The room was extremely clean. The hosts, Mark and Debbie were lovely friendly people. The choice of breakfast was good. The site was right on the No 12 bus route, running throughout Torbay every 10 minutes during the day and still a good service in the evenings till late.

Review 20:The property is easy to find and very near the bus stop which is good if that is how you travel and sightsee. The hosts were very accommodating and welcoming even though I was only staying overnight.

Review 21:A little traffic noise (as we were at the front of the house) early evening which did quietened down later. We sleep with window open so probably would be OK if kept closed.

Review 22:Debra & Mark the very friendly owners make you welcome from the moment you arrive. Our room was at the top of the house (room 5) so we had two flights of stairs to get to our bedroom, although no problem for us, it could cause a problem for someone less mobile, so ask for a room lower down. Very comfortable bed, spotlessly clean, and an excellent breakfast freshly cooked. All in all a good place to have a weekend break. We would be happy to return.

Review 23:If you have limited mobility, the room at the top of the stairs may be a stretch but I was contacted when I booked to check which room I preferred and that I would be okay with the stairs.

Review 24:The room was beautiful and exceptionally clean and tidy. it was thoughtfully furnished and felt like home (but tidier!). The staff were amazing - I had awful trouble getting there as I had a flat tyre on the motorway and they waited up for me (until 1.30am) and made me feel like I was part of the family. They are both utterly charming and lovely to chat to. The atmosphere was comforting and pleasant - guests chatted happily to each other at breakfast and I barely heard anyone else - I hope they didn't hear me either. Breakfast was fabulous. I wasn't sure I'd eat for the rest of the day, it was that substantial. Brixham is a sweet little town and there's plenty to see and do in the area. I'd recommend this place without hesitation.

Review 25:The room was at the front of the house and the road very noisy, couldn't open the window as the traffic was busy from early morning to late at night. The sink was ridiculously small.

Review 26:The owners were very welcoming and we felt at home. Very good breakfast. Comfortable. At this price a real bargain.

Review 27:Location is just abit far out of the town centre and main harbour area to walk into (took 15 mins)

Review 33:The hosts were very welcoming, and made all their guests think they were personal friends. They gave advice to other guests on where to go, and recommended eateries to us. (We were not on holiday). The room was bright and cheerful, clean and had all those things you expect from a hotel these days.

Review 34:Noise from road with windows open.

Review 35:Not having to use car. Car parking.Friendly hosts. Not having to pay extortionate rates for a drink from the house bar

Review 36:We stayed in room 5 in the attic.. very spacious and pretty room. There was a little noise as it is at the front of the house but nothing major. Check in was easy..Debbie is so friendly and easy going.. all linens were crisp white...towels white and fluffy! The breakfast choice is huge and u will not be disappointed.. ours rivalled the breakfast we had at a 5* hotel a little while ago.... overall, fab place, fab hotel and fab people!
