Reviews for Hotel Boutique Casas de Santa Cruz

Review 1:I don't like the breakfast service, waiteress served in a very bad mude. My wife and I could not relax to enjoy the breakfast.

Review 2:Localization is perfect, close to the main attractions

Review 3:Room was very small and therefore bed was quite short (too short for tall people)

Review 4:wonderful building in a quiet but very central location in the old town of Sevilla. Frindly staff.

Review 5:Hotel room was too small. Nowhere to open a suitcase. Claustrophobic. The air conditioning barely worked. Complained and the next 2 nights were moved to one of their apartments. 100% improvement. Only thing missing was a mini fridge in both the hotel room and the apartment.

Review 6:Staff on the front desk were the best!

Review 7:1) Parking is a bit far away (which is still not a problem - but be aware)2) The economy room in Hotel Boutique Casas de Santa Cruz did not have a proper window - only those to the inner yard which was not actually the yard bud just the internal stairs in the building 3) Poor breakfast (no need to buy it with the room - there are a lot places to go for a breakfast in the old Sevilla)

Review 8:We were actually leaving not in Hotel Boutique Casas de Santa Cruz, butin another hotel of the same owner and with common reception andrestaurant - Hotel Elvira (so all my comments relate to those sharedservices of two hotel and facilities of Hotel Elvira)1) We managed to change our economy double without window in Hotel Boutique Casas de Santa Cruz to a suite with 8-10 metres balcony in Hotel Elvira which was available at that moment with only 30 euro paid extra. The suit was wonderful, well equiped and relaxing. 2) The reception of these two hotels i really great and the best I met in Spain - the spoke wonderful English and were extremely cooperative and helpful 3) Great location right in the heart of old city near Jiralda and Alcazar (note that nearest parking because of that is about 10 minutes by foot) 4) Very nice restaurants same yard where the hotel locates - in some of them discounts are provided to the hotel guests (ask reception) 5) Great value for money (we were leaving in the center of old town in Sevilla in August for around 100 Euro per breakfast in a suite)

Review 9:Rooms are a bit small but that is understandable in this part of the town.

Review 10:location in the old town, terrace on the roof, English speaking staff at the reception

Review 11:wifi not working half of the time. No fridge, no kettle, small room. Cockroach. No hot water at first. soft bed. Jackhammer next room from early morning. Window on the ground floor directly in the street.

Review 12:the location of the hotel

Review 13:The only trick was figuring out that the front desk was around the corner in a related hotel. Once we figured this out, we loved the easy walk to a charming courtyard for breakfast and desk services.

Review 14:This location and charm of the hotel was exactly what we wanted: just so quintessential Sevilla. We loved wandering through the narrow alleyways surrounding it and the whole city was walkable from here. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable.

Review 15:There was a coffee maker, but no coffee sachets! Only one small bottle of water for two people. Better directions needed to the hotel. Tea, coffee and biscuits in the room would have been very much appreciated for first thing in the morning.

Review 16:The staff were excellent - knowledgeable, efficient, very warm and friendly, and helpful. The very comfortable bed, and room. Clean adequate bathroom for a short stay, the location was perfect. Plenty of fluffy towels, and two lovely dressing gowns with slippers.....

Review 17:So. It is not really a hotel. It is a set of rooms around the corner from a hotel owned by probably the same people. The room is small, dark, old and has minimum of everything. The AC was not working properly. The room has two small windows that open to the inner courtyard of the building, so no natural light. The toilet is not very clean and the paint is scraped off due to humidity. The "terrace" is actually a 2x1 roof with two lonely chairs. To get to the hotel you have to go through small narrow streets, which is nice. Not so nice when you don't know the area on arrival and you have to ask directions from 3 people. The hotel actually affected my stay in Seville.

Review 18:The location is amazing. The morning staff are great.

Review 19:Parking, but we were in the centre...

Review 20:We went to an economy room and it was really confortable, quite, clean... good quality for a good price. The location is excelent, really in the city centre. The breakfast was excellent. If i come back to Sevilla for sure i will be back here, completely sure

Review 21:It was very pleasant to stay there, very helpful staff, clean room and silence at room during night. Very modern and high deginged hotel. Very good view at top floor (terrace) from this hotel. Location at the heart of Seville 2 min from Seville Cathedral and 10 min to Plaza de Ispana. Everything was exellent.

Review 22:Nothing bad about our experience there! :-)

Review 23:Casas Santa Cruz are situated right near the Cathedral, and along a beautiful walkway in Sevilla. When we arrived, we were able to confirm our reservation as store our bags until the room was ready (we had arrived prior to the check-in time of 2:00pm). The staff were excellent, the room was clean and beautiful, and we enjoyed our stay very much. The breakfast (included in the room price) was located immediately across the walkway from the front door of the hotel. All in all, a great place to stay.

Review 24:bad smelling in the bathroom reception one block away, not very exciting breakfast two blocks away ....

Review 25:location and very friendly helpful staff

Review 26:room is very small, bed is not great, breakfast ok but not fantastic

Review 27:location

Review 28:The lock was stuck and I had a hard time opening the door

Review 29:The location is perfect!!

Review 30:The staff were very helpful and friendly

Review 31:location - easy walking distance to the cathedral and palace; reception staff - all delightful, very smart and helpful

Review 32:Small room

Review 33:Soft bed; Noisy fountain that can be heard in the room; Expensive Parking (21€ for 17h).

Review 34:Staff; Hotel design; Location; Breakfast; The City :)

Review 35:Poor wi-fi on 2nd floor

Review 36:Great location, friendly staff, good value for money

Review 37:Parking was difficult

Review 38:Location and efficiency of staff

Review 39:Extremely noisy room.

Review 40:Close to the center. Nice people at the reception.

Review 41:Small room. No public areas.

Review 42:Location

Review 43:Ground floor room is noisy as street facing. Also, being so close to the Giralda has its downsides- bells toll every hour so can be noisy.

Review 44:Great location, everything within walking distance

Review 45:The roof terrace should be made into a nice space to relax.

Review 46:I liked the fact that check in was at a hotel just around the corner so our room key opened the front door to the hotel making it feel like it was your own property.

Review 47:Room was very small and dark, and was in a separate building to the main hotel, so had to check in at the main building. The pictures and way the hotel it sold on the Booking site did not match the actual facilities. The roof too terrace is no bigger than a postage stamp, breakfast is at the other hotel and the hotel offers discount and a free welcome drink at its restaurant in the square. The food was extremely over priced for what you received and wasn't great, and the welcome drink was taken off the bill, so instead of the two glasses of wine we had, they took off one glass of wine and the much cheaper bottle of water we ordered. Felt abit cheated. Certainly wasn't the experience I was hoping for from the website.

Review 48:Hotel was in a great location right in the heart of the old town.

Review 49:The ground floor room. Heard every sound from other guests coming and going and the adjacent businesses closing at night and opening again in the morning.

Review 50:Great central location right in the heart of the old town

Review 51:We reserved double room with balcony/sea views. We were first allocated an unrenovated room : as shown on website with blue/turquoise bed cover. We were changed to a very good room ..similar to website photos.Final website photo of double room/sea view ,bed facing sea is categorized by hotel as a studio and is not available via booking .com (misleading photo)

Review 52:Very good room.Good breakfast.

Review 53:Staff are located in a nearby hotel. No 'facilities' eg bar, though this is hardly necessary in this area. Small room. Parking is not too close and expensive - like all Spanish cities!

Review 54:Great location. Interesting stylish hotel. Helpful staff.

Review 55:On arrival at the Casas de Santa Cruz, there is nobody on the door, and you have to go round the corner to the main hotel in order to speak face to face to the staff.

Review 56:Breakfast in the wonderful restaurant across the street is a delightful way to start the day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Also, they offer a free cup of tea (or coffee) at 5pm. The beds were very comfortable and everything was nice and clean.

Review 57:The breakfast had a limited selection but was OK. I would like more fruit than just melon and also be nice to include yoghurt.

Review 58:The location, the free coffee between 5-7pm each day in the square at the sister hotel was a nice time to relax after a days sightseeing. The older style hotel architecture with internal Moorish courtyard. Nice to have ipod docking station

Review 59:Very noisy overnight, the bin men come every night through the pedestrianized streets and also spray streets down with water hoses (close your windows and doors at night).

Review 60:Location was incredible, superb design and cleanliness

Review 61:When we arrive we discovered that it is not hotel. their is no reception...We found a sign that refers to another hotel down the street for check in. Very difficult moving with suitcases. No vehicles entering the area!! you need to park far away. We got a small room on the ground floor with a window to the main street! Noise, fear, no privacy and fresh air.We did not see staff at all, one person seat at the reception in the other hotel in another street, we coul'd not recieve phone call at our room. This is cheating!!! the details at booking.com show diffrent information!

Review 62:Rooms VERY small but all you need. Agree with mirror comment. Noisy in morning with locals moving bins down lane but a necessary inconvenience. Otherwise, reasonably quiet.

Review 63:Helpful,friendly staff. Spotless. Perfect location for sightseeing. Plenty restaurants, bars and shops nearby. Walking distance to all main attractions and transport links.

Review 64:Wi-fi accessibility was inconsistent the whole stay

Review 65:What a location! Don't expect to find real easily because that's part of the charm, but once there you'll love it. Very "old school" with many modern amenities.

Review 66:Map with direction was sent too late to be able to print off. Map was not very helpful - had difficulty finding hotel and discovered only by chance that the reception of Casas de Santa Cruz was in another hotel! Breakfast disappointing

Review 67:Good to stay in traditionally spanish accommodation. Clean, well equipped and very ncentral .

Review 68:The only mirror in the room was in the bathroom, a mirror in the bedroom too would have been beneficial.

Review 69:The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel was spotlessly clean everyday. Perfect location. Espresso machine in the bedroom. Free wifi

Review 70:Noise from entrance door next to our room. Pipework made loud knocking noise whenever anyone in the hotel presumably turned on a tap, shower or flushed a toilet. Very annoying at night.

Review 71:Location of hotel, atmosphere, decor, facilities. Very helpful and well informed staff at the reception desk Very clean room with comfortable bed. The small moorish courtyard with its fountain was a cool place to sit and relax after a day exploring the city.

Review 72:VERY difficult to find.

Review 73:Clean, modern. Reception helpful. Room has slippers and robe! Wonderful pillows and bed. Location near Cathedral and Alkazar.

Review 74:Bed could be softer. Better directions to the front desk and where to park or have taxi drop you off are needed.

Review 75:Staff very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect, location was right in the middle of historic area.

Review 76:Hotel is impossible to find. They should have a detailed map from a wellknown landmark. Reception staff were not well trained. Simply interestedin getting as much money from clients as possible. Bedroom had only 1small mirror. No bedside lockers, no hooks - very little storage space.

Review 77:Seville is a beautiful city. The hotel is in a beautiful place.

Review 78:Our windows looked out into the courtyard and were greyed out for privacy. This meant we didn't get any natural light. I think the rooms on the other side looked over the street instead: we were in economy, so maybe if you paid for the non-economy room you would get some light!

Review 79:Clean, comfortable room. Courtyard, fountain and Moorish tiles very atmospheric. Espresso maker.

Review 80:lack of storage space - drawers in bedside tables and hooks to hang (for example the bathrobes) would have been good

Review 81:location ambience helpful staff

Review 82:Room was at the first floor and really really humid

Review 83:Great location, nice place, friendly staff

Review 84:Cleaning ladies a bit loud early in the morning

Review 85:Excellent location

Review 86:Bathroom lighting a bit dark.

Review 87:Spotless room with everything we needed : bathrobe, bathtub, nice linens, wifi, very quiet room.

Review 88:Room with no windows to daylight

Review 89:Nice little hotel, quirky

Review 90:they gave us a room located on the ground floor was a little bite noisy and quite dark

Review 91:the location was great, and the staff also very nice

Review 92:Relatively small room without window

Review 93:Location Clean Nice and friendly staff Breakfast

Review 94:Staff was very friendly

Review 95:Lack of information regarding where to park car. Also friendly localshad to assist with directions to find hotel.

Review 96:Close to everything

Review 97:The location was in the heart of the historic area. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Review 98:room was quite small

Review 99:location was brilliant, room had everything we needed and was very clean

Review 100:I bit small and noisy

Review 101:Great location, friendly-helpful staff, clean-functional room
