Reviews for Chambre d'hôtes Saint Justin
Review 1:Nothing to dilike
Review 2:Lovely character accomodation. Excellent breakfast and friendly owners. Montreuil village centre only half a mile away. Excellent food at the Hotel Darnetal. Walking the town walls.
Review 3:A beautiful house and charming, welcoming hosts. Very comfortable room, delightful, traditional breakfast room and wonderful breakfast. Somewhere we want to return to.
Review 4:Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming and our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. The B&B is only a few minutes walk into the centre of the town.
Review 5:Room in attic was beautiful, clean and comfortable, but due to warm weather we left velux windows open and were woken very early by the noise from the road. Would stay again though.
Review 6:Lovely hotel and friendly owners, and a good breakfast.
Review 7:Difficult to find. Not able to gain access until 6pm.
Review 8:Nice welcome by friendly hosts. Comfortable bed. Able to park car very near. Nice room in lovely house.
Review 9:the toilet plumbing was faulty and made quite a lot of noise in the night. There are a lot of steps to carry cases up so not suitable for travellers with any disability
Review 10:we had the top floor converted attic rooms which were warm and had everything necessary. The owners were very pleasant and helpful.
Review 11:Parking on street!. Someone keyed side of our car, has cost £270 to put right. Maybe we upset somebody by parking on wide verge just up the road from B+B opposite tyre depot?
Review 12:Short walk into to Montruil sur Mer, loads of restaurants, really interesting town, great walks round walls. Interesting Citadel Museum. Good breakfast, had some home grown grapes which owner was very proud off.
Review 13:A lovely house, full of character, and beautifully decorated and furnished; very comfortable bed; charming and friendly hosts; a superb breakfast! And excellent value for money.
Review 14:A little confused by the picture, which shows the house from the garden side. When you arrive, it is to a house directly on to the pavement, thought at first we had come to the wrong place. In summer, I am sure the garden can play a larger part.
Review 15:Very friendly host and hostess, very clean, inexpensive accommodation, delicious breakfast. Basic traditional French house and furnishings. Easy on street parking directly outside.
Review 16:Lovely french home with charming and welcoming couple. An hour from Calais on our way home. A ten minute walk into the centre of Montreuil. We thought it may be noisy being right on the road but it wasn't and we slept well. Great breakfast and good advice about our coast road trip to Calais.
Review 17:Setting was not that lovely, but the welcome and traditional interior more than make up for this. It's a bit of a walk in to town, but probably even allowing for the main road location, quitter than the main town. Beware the cobbled streets of Montreuil, they can keep you awake at night. Please note, not all rooms are en suite. We had the top two rooms which share the toilet and bathroom between them. This is absolutely fine if you know the occupants of the other room. I don't know, maybe the owner only rents both rooms together in these circumstances
Review 18:Saint Justin is a traditional Northern French town house. Our accommodation was on the second floor, two rooms self contained away from the rest of the house. this was ideal for my wife and I plus my elderly mother. My mother is a fairly fit 79 year old, but she struggled a tiny bit with the stairs. The family who own the B&B are very welcoming and helpful providing a great value French breakfast. The guest house is, as it states on the web site, on a main road. This initially is very off putting as it is not a very attractive setting, but the road is, surprisingly, not that busy and anyway the house is well insulated. Parking is out on the main road, but again this is not a problem, there is plenty of room. and your car will be perfectly safe. My wife is French and i have spent a lot of time there. If anybody is looking to stay somewhere authentically every day French. stay here, You will see more of French life at St Justin in a weekend than you will in a month at a hotel.
Review 19:Good location - within walking distance of the centre of Montreuil - and very friendly and helpful owners. The rooms were large and comfortable and we were provided with an excellent breakfast. Very good value for money.
Review 20:Look out for opening days of local restaurants. In August several were not open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Wi if was a problem during our stay at St Justin but just maybe a temporary glitch.
Review 21:Elisabeth was a lovely hostess and St Justin is in a very convenient location just a short walk to the centre and close enough to beaches. We had the top floor which was two big rooms with toilet and shower. Elisabeth spoke enough English to help us inadequate Brits. A very pleasant stay.
Review 22:The website does not make the fact that the two upstairs rooms share a bathroom. This was rather awkward for us as we are not family and sharing a loo and a bathroom between 4 adults made for difficult juggling. Also the 2 rooms were up 2 twisty flights of stairs, and again this was not clear and one of our party is struggling with a knee problem which made the weekend very uncomfortable.
Review 23:The owners were lovely, and responded very nicely when asked for anything.
Review 24:Nothing really. There is no tv in the room but I understand that the hosts will provide one if required.
Review 25:I booked this charming period place with a friend of mine who deals in antiques-he loved it as it has many features including exposed beams. We particularly chose this place as we came specially for the antiques fair in Montreuil on Bastille Day 14th July and wanted to be very close to the town centre about 8mins. walk away. We were greeted by a charming lady Elizabeth who prepared a lovely breakfast for us in the morning. We were fascinated by the electric bed in the main bedroom which of course was extremely comfortable. I would thoroughly recommend this place for someone wanting to explore this beautiful fortified town with ramparts and cobbled streets or enjoying the sandy beach resorts of Le Touquet and surrounds just a few miles away. It is good value for money and a change from characterless budget hotels.

Review 74:Lovely property , typical old French Chambre de Hote . Nice walking distance from center of Town. Nice freindly family
Review 75:No TV in room, although owner did say if we had asked they could have brought one upstairs for us.
Review 76:Very convenient location with easy 8 minutes walk to Montreuil sur mer town centre. Character house with wooden floors, good sizes room and very comfortable bed. Lovely home made jam and warm welcome. Excellent WiFi easy parking right outside. Lovely garden but too cold in April to sit in it.
Review 77:very poor hot water tap in bathroom, though shower was absolutely fine.
