Reviews for Hôtel Central

Review 1:Too hot, no air con. Looks out onto small scruffy courtyard at back so didn't have traffic noise but did have other noises which echoed around the walls of the courtyard. no facilities other than room so it was just a place to kip in and have showers.

Review 2:Central position. they had made an effort with the decoration or make it seem less like a scruffy little hotel. had a quirky good sized bathroom which gave it a bit of character.

Review 3:I was unable to get into my room on Sunday afternoon, when the reception was closed. I had to flag down a stranger on the street to call someone to help me solve the problem.

Review 4:The breakfast was great--the only place in France where they had American-style granola. A little out of the way, but most of the city is accessible in a few minutes' walk. The staff was helpful, but I wouldn't stay here if you don't speak French.

Review 5:Parking nearby can be difficult.

Review 6:On the edge of the town centre, an easy walk to the "old town", and restaurants. The hotel is rambling, with lots of corridors & stairs, very charmingly furnished and decorated.

Review 7:The hand held shower, impossible to wash, avoid soaking the bathroom and hold the fitting all at once ! Need a fixed shower on the wall and a screen or curtain

Review 8:Location, bed very comfortable, room pleasant, very quiet, nice breakfast

Review 9:Excellent location close to centre of Pau and within easy walking distance of Pau railway station.

Review 10:Location and one of the few hotels in France where we have stayed which offers tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom.

Review 11:No elevator with spiral staircase.

Review 12:The location to everything..shopping, train station and sites.

Review 18:Huge bathroom but no shower, just a bathtub without a curtain - not easy to avoid splashing the whole bathroom.

Review 19:Funny old house, nicely restored. Premium location for downtown Pau.

Review 20:friendly reception from the owner, and the room and public spaces are nicely decorated. The road outside is semi pedestrianised, so the hotel is quiet with little traffic noise.

Review 21:Impossible to park the car near the hotel (One way incredible street circuit in Pau city center, Bravo to the City council)

Review 22:Very Good location, close from All restaurants, double windows ,no street noise, good continental breakfast buffet

Review 23:Excellent place close to all of the restaurants, bars and cafe'S.Only 9 euro taxi cab rid from train station...room was spacious and veryclean...,shutters then double windowed for a perfect quite darksleep...excellent excellent place

Review 24:I wish they had an elevator and air conditioning. Not a really big problem though unless your luggage is too heavy or the weather is too hot.

Review 25:The decoration of the rooms was simple but adorable. It was beyond my expectations for a 2 star hotel. I have stayed in 3 or 4 star hotels that were less spatious and comfortable.

Review 26:I enjoyed the themed room I was in. It was a very pleasant surprise and definitely exceeded my expection! Decorated with lovely detail and good taste . . .

Review 27:We never got to see the receptionist because the reception desk wasclosed a lot of hours during the day.however, we didnt have any problemswith our checking in and out.
