Review 1：Slipped and Fell getting out of the shower, beware of the tiled floor VERY slippery when wet. Beds are hard and uncomfortable

Review 3：Only poor thing was one evening meal - pastry was a sad soggy mess, and peas rock hard and curiously dry. Other meal and breakfast good.

Review 5：We stayed for two nights in the "Watercress" room which was absolutely immaculate in decor, fittings and cleanliness. The bed was very comfortable and everything worked as it should, although we didn't have need of the wi-fi or television on this occasion. Nothing was too much trouble for Sam and Mark or their staff who all worked very hard to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The food was excellent and the range of ales should cater for most tastes. We enquired if it were possible to order something which was not listed on the menu and this was provided willingly by the chef and delivered speedily to our table by the efficient and friendly waitress. We would thoroughly recommend The White Hart, we will be booking again as it manages to combine the feel of a traditional pub with a good menu and wonderful accommodation.
Review 6：Due to the close proximity of the kitchen to the staircase leading to the rooms I would install an automatic air freshener in the staircase corridor to mask the cooking smells.

Review 14：Compact but beautifully appointed room and ensuite shower room. Staff were helpful throughout. We arrived early and were allowed to put our luggage in the room although it was still being made up. The boiler had failed, but immersion heating and electric heaters in the bedrooms provided good back up. Good breakfast.

Review 17：Absolutely fantastic. I stayed a couple of days ago on a business trip. The service I received was exceptional from the moment I literally walked through door, greeted and shown to my room by John, until I left the next day. The impressive room, extremely comfortable bed and fried breakfast the following morning all exceeded my expectations. The staff even went the extra mile by kindly printing numerous, very important documents for me which I had forgotten to bring with me, whilst I ate my breakfast, happily handing them all to me conveniently placed in plastic wallets as I left for my meeting. Now that's service.
Review 18：The staff are great and very welcoming. A young Buddy Holly lookalike was our waiter and he was ace, such a lovely young man who really cared. I asked for an extra tortilla for my fajitas and he brought me two, not just the one I asked for! The food was good value, not quite gastro pub standard but very good quality, great menu choice and plentiful portions. The breakfast was amazing, none of your mass catering cheap sausages and bacon but excellent quality produce throughout. The room was nothing short of perfect! Immaculately decorated and spotlessly clean. Very comfy bed and an awesome drench shower for the morning, which was needed after one too many of the real ales on offer in the bar the night before. I was staying on business but I intend to return in the summer for a short break with my family. Simply faultless!

Review 26：The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful - the bar man went out of his way to arrange a taxi - personally ringing on our behalf. Clean comfortable room. Incredible value with breakfast included - which included full range of cereals as well as a full cooked English breakfast.

Review 31：Charming room with leaded glass windows, mantle on one wall, and comfortable iron frame bed. The "Austen" room was quiet and faced the back of the bldg.; small but very adequate. Good pub on first level. Beth was very helpful and made sure our dinner order got into the kitchen before it closed. She provided information about the area and printed off some info about our next stop.

Review 47：This was the most beautifully appointed hotel, the rooms are amongst the best we have ever stayed at. The rooms are amazing, all new, thick carpet, amazingly comfortable beds, Rain forest shower. Staff were lovely and food was delicious. Cannot recommend this hotel more. Lovely walks in the area.

The White Hart's owners are very friendly and helpful and so are the staff. Nice pub style garden. Lovely room with comfortable bed, all freshly and very tastefully decorated. Great food, dinner and breakfast, in a traditional pub environment.
