Reviews for Hotel Sevilla Center
Review 1:Gym is basic. No dumbbells. No bench. Room service is expensive. Room service's people barely speak English. I asked three times which menu is the main menu over the phone because later it was discovered that our room did not have one, the lady replied with three "Yes?". But she told me she could speak a little English. Clearly she did not understand me. She was better to tell me "No English" at first . A 1-min call was thus made into a 5-mins one. This is unacceptable for a four-star hotel in the fourth populous Spanish city.
Review 2:Clean and big room. Accurate descriptions. Close to metro and railway station. Seville is relatively small, so most destinations are within walking distance.
Review 3:Room smaller than expected. Too hot, small windows, somehow suffocating. Noise from the busy street. Would not stay again.
Review 4:Good bed. Not far from the center.
Review 5:Quiet, spacious room was on the 13th floor and included a balcony and ceiling to floor windows, providing incredible views of the old city and the Buhaira Park. The reception, breakfast and cleaning staff were all polite and helpful. I thought the buffet breakfast was excellent and good value. The wireless internet service was also quite strong, as I could watch You Tube videos, without any problem.
Review 6:We asked for a double bed but never got it. Parking should not be charged so high since there is available parking places around for free.
Review 7:Nice breakfast. Good location next to the tram for the city center. Parking available around.
Review 8:Beds were uncomfortable and coffee bad (breakfast). A (faint) smell of tobacco in our room at the arrival.
Review 9:A nice clean and quiet room, helpful staff, beautiful views from the restaurant, easy to get to by car. Free late check out offered at the arrival.
Review 10:Great room...quiet, very clean. Fantastic views from our 14th floor room! Little over our budget but well worth it! Good location about fifteen minute walk from the historic centre. Tram and buses readily available to go to historic centre, train station or airport.
Review 11:The beds did not feel like a 4star bed. We had two twins pushed together for our double bed, something a 3 star hotel would do. Location was ok, about a 20min walk to the Cathedral.
Review 12:Wi-fi Breakfast My son called it sophisticated.
Review 13:* Bath tube need more cleaness. * TV inside a furniture. Terrible to watch tv and move around the room. You have to open de furniture doors to watch and is a problem to walk.
Review 14:Veriy Beatiful hotel. Good Location. Excelente sttaff
Review 15:some street noise. Should wear ear bud if sensitive
Review 16:spaceful room. There is a public garden beside the hotel. Great place for a morning walk. Breakfast is very good!
Review 17:Nothing.
Review 18:The staff were excellent and friendly. Restaurant recommendations were some of the best I have ever come across! Service late evening was excellent and again staff were friendly and helpful.
Review 19:The beds are old and noisy. Difficult to sleep what is not acceptable for a hotel with this rating.
Review 20:Good location and facilities. The staff in the cafetería was very nice.
Review 21:Excellent parking and location, convenient to take tram to city centre.. Enjoyed rooftop restaurant and views from there and from our room. Staff in reception were very pleasant and room and bathroom very well appointed.
Review 22:Tired, shabby furnishings. Wallpaper torn in many places, bathtub dirty, there was caulk gooped on the bath marble, no iron/board in room, no coffeemaker in room, no light in shower. It felt run down, notwithstanding how busy it was. Very queer.
Review 23:The location was terrific, bed was very comfortable, it is great having a suite, rather than just one room.
Review 24:Dark furniture, dark flooring in the room and limited lighting.
Review 25:proximity to town, friendly staff. Car park availability within hotel. Breakfast was good.
Review 26:Not pleasent receptionist Very rude waitress in the 13 th floor restaurant Not enough light in the room , almost dark room No cool A/C
Review 27:Nice hotel not far from the old city
Review 28:Nothing terrible, shower had mould in it which was disappointing as the rest of the room and hotel were very clean.
Review 29:Decent hotel with secure parking, nice rooms and good location. Was a 20 minute walk to the old centre which was ok. Would stay there again.
Review 30:Room was not well cleaned in corners etc. We did pass on comments to management who appreciated this.
Review 31:Fairly convenient to tram. Comfortable. Rooftop pool was good for cooling dip with bar.
Review 32:Room was smoked in and dirthy. Everything was closed as the bar on the roof, pay extra for roomservice because out of the main season. No taxis outside.... No commercial area.
Review 33:Chanching to a better clean room!
Review 34:long away from the city center , they provided parking with extra cost , there is no Iron provided if needed and you have to pay around 5 euro for each pieces
Review 35:the staff were friendly and helpful
Review 36:Breakfast buffet was pricier than expected but very extensive.
Review 37:Gorgeous roof-top pool, very helpful and friendly staff, luxury spaces, lavish breakfast buffet make this hotel a must in Seville. Hotel is very centrally located, even if we did get a bit lost on the way back from town.
Review 38:Not customer friendly reception staff. Room has a tiny window which makes the small 25 m2 room look like a prison cell. No exaust fan in bathroom. No ice machine on floor. Requested a double bed - got two singles.
Review 39:Good location - 2 blocks from tram. Excellent (5 star) breakfast. Lobby very nice. Quiet, secure location. Parking available downstairs.
Review 40:- The room was quite outdated, with several holes in the curtain, a cupboard that didn't function, very old bed etc. - Lack of light in the room; natural as well as artificial light were both not sufficient to lighten the room - Communication: They knew they would shut the water down, but didn't inform us about that - Prices on menu by the pool were different than on invoice (only 0,20€ per glass, but still extremely sloppy) This is not a cheap hotel, we had better expectations of it.
Review 41:There are many facilities available and when we were there, there was sufficient space at the pool.
Review 42:Great location within walking distance to main attractions and city center, quiet and spacious room. Wide selection at breakfast buffet. Direct access to the parking building
Review 43:Breakfast was pricey so we went room and parking only for booking. We went to VIPs just down opposite the tram stop , great value , food and staff, and half the price.
Review 44:I have never had such a pleasant check in or out , we arrived late (1:30am) and they couldn't have been more pleasant, I mean World class reception class and I've travelled a fair bit. As good checking out, thinking of everything , my parking validation and how to make the best of my day even though I was leaving. Pool was great also.
Review 45:The hotel is very expensive and overrated. Dirty Hotel with BedBugs and smelly old carpet. Do not stay here, far from Seville Center. Hotel need to refund my stay since i need medical treatment for bedbugs.
Review 46:Nothing
Review 47:-spacious room -location, close enough to walk everywhere, but out of city center so quiet and peaceful -nice staff -cafe downstairs (not the restaurant) offers affordable and simple foods for breakfast and lunch plus coffee
Review 48:The gym was a joke. Was worthless. At check in the person at the desk said breakfast was included. She was mistaken and we found out in the middle of breakfast very embarrassing
Review 49:Breakfast selection and quality disappointing for such a hotel. Staff seemed flustered and unable to cope with crowds at breakfast. Awful coffee (who thought it would be acceptable to provide only instant coffee in a fairly high quality hotel?). Vicious air conditioning.
Review 50:Nice large pool. Tram connection to city centre excellent (once we worked it out).
Review 51:old-fashioned; a bit far to the Sevilla Center (Catedral de Sevilla area)
Review 52:comfortable room size; friendly staff(including the cafe on ground floor); close to the train station and Plaza deEspaña.
Review 53:Our room wasn't clean; there was mould on the bathroom´s wall. Wifi was weak.
Review 54:Staff was nice, breakfast was very good. Good variety of tv channels.
Review 55:I booked a double room but there were two singles in there. I could have said something but I liked the floor we were on. The room was very dark.
Review 56:Pool was nice. Staff at reception very helpful. Location was amazing!
Review 57:Hotel was a little further from centre of town then I would have liked. There were no irons available for use. You had to use laundry service which was overpriced and only available mon -fri.
Review 58:There was always a restaurant open no matter what time. The pool was lovely.
Review 59:Fridge was not working. A little bit far from downtown but close to tram and subway. Gym was small and treadmills not working fine.
Review 60:Staff, Cleaniness & breakfast
Review 61:I have stayed in this hotel before and both times have been great. Love the hotel, staff are very helpful and friendly and the hotel is always clean. The location is great, just a short walk to the cathedral quarter or a quick ride on the tram. Will definitely be staying again.
Review 62:More lighting in the rooms would be good.
Review 63:Gorgeous looking hotel inside. Very spacious. Modern and very clean. Parking was brilliant. People very friendly and prices were excellent.
Review 64:Went to the restaurant 3 out 4 night stay was interrogated by "THEMANAGER" as to where did we think we were going. I explained thatwe had booked with reception he started to argue with my wife as towhether it was 8.55 pm or 8.57 and proceeded to show his watch . I'm30 years training and employing managers and would not employ him toclean toilets
Review 65:Location a bit far from the hustle and bustle of the center. Did not enjoy the food at the pool bar and could have used softer, more modern mattresses. Too many laminated, cheapy-looking leaflets spread out the room, which could be easily replaced with a classic, more elegant and better suited menu catalogue.
Review 66:An impressive big building reminiscent of old time hotels in the movies, with open spaces, marble paved lobbies, wooden furniture, staff wearing classic uniforms. Loved the pool, the gym (albeit on the small side), breakfast was diverse and tasty, great value for the money and the staff was prompt, courteous and helpful. The rooms are dated, but functional. All in all, a massive hotel where if the weather is bad you won't get bored and where you get a good feeling of being well taken care of.
Review 67:even it is not in very heart of the old city of Seville, the location is 10 min. by foot and therefore just perfect for evening walk after perfect tapas dinner. Pool area is very good with nice choice of drinks and snacks and nice view to the roofs of the old city.
Review 68:We booked a room on the top floor with a terrace. The views of the city were spectacular. All the places to see are 10 mins walk away. Visit the small bar in the park next door the food is fantastic
Review 69:Why not supply towels at the pool bar instead of having to go to reception for a ticket first seemed pointless but maybe there is a reason!.
Review 70:Not quite in the centre of old Seville but you probably dont want to be especially if arriving by car, parking underground was roomy for once. Rooms well equipped with thick sun screens to keep out the heat and the rooftop pool was actually cooled which was brilliant. Seville itself is a must visit place such a lot of history and a great buzz around the place especially in the evening, great tapas bars and restaurants,
Review 71:Phoned via reception to order room service to be delivered at a specific time and order was not passed along to room service department, despite being written down by member of reception staff. Tried phoning room service department when it did not arrive an constantly had the phone put down on me. I had to go down to reception to complain and eventually the gentleman that took the call found the piece of paper he had written the order down on and passed the message along to the kitchen. Food was supposed to be delivered at 12pm, after phoning at 11am, and eventually turned up just before 1pm.
Review 72:Could have done with thicker pillows on the otherwise very comfortable bed.
Review 73:Smart hotel with helpful staff. Good food and excellent buffet breakfast. Easy walking distance to the main attractions of Seville when it is not too hot. Roof top pool great for cooling off in.
Review 74:Though the hotel is a bit old fashioned in terms of decoration, it was quite a deal if you want to stay in a hotel which which has a pool and a great Seville view. Also the rooms are big enough for two. If you want an open buffet breakfast you need to pay 11 euros for each day. By a tram you can easily go to the old center.
Review 75:The bed/ mattress was a truly nightmare. It was so firm i had back pain for three days. I asked for a solution at the reception and the staff (a lady who barely understand english) was quite unpolite.
Review 76:The location was a little hard to get to from the bus station but it was close enough to get to the downtown area with the tram
Review 77:The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very comfortable. We loved the pool and the Terrace.
Review 78:Pillows on bed were too soft. Pool bar did not open until 1400. Price of bottled water very expensive €1 80 for small bottle when directly opposite was a supermarket with 1.5 L bottles for 29 cents
Review 79:Pool very good. Near to all the sights
Review 80:As we were lying next to the pool, the umbrella close to us -with our clothes on it- caught wind and flew right over my head. The pool is located on the 3rd floor and it flew all the way down onto the streets. We were shocked. Luckily, nothing happened to both me and people on the streets. A similar thing took place an hour later. Although I warned the staff at the pool and the reception desk, the next day the umbrella was up again. A truly very dangerous situation, which made our stay at Sevilla Centre less pleasant, to say the least.
Review 81:Beds not comfortable. Rooms tired. Shower attachment falling off wall. Breakfast staff unhelpful and noisy clearing away dishes at 10.30am.
Review 82:Air con. Wifi.
Review 83:Nothing specific.
Review 84:Pretty much everything from the rooms, to the staff and service was just amazing! With the heat, we wanted to spend all our time in the room.
Review 85:The pool was overcrowded for our first night of stay and staff there didn't speak english. Breakfast sounded a bit high priced and we didn't try it out. Instead we had quick breakfast in the lobby bar and that had an excellent price quality ratio. And on top, the service was just great.
Review 86:Peaceful location, not exactly in the city centre but there is a good tram connection. Very nice outdoor pool area with bar service. Clean and spacious room. Underground carage
Review 87:Primarily my issue was that the location was just too far from town. It isn't central as the name insinuates so we walked a lot! Food & Drink was quite expensive and any added amenities (eg. laundry) was extortionate! The pool area isn't great - small and busy, with barely any shade.
Review 88:The room was huge and just lovely. The bathroom was big, clean, and the shower was great. Safe and secure. Very comfortable with desk, seating area, foyer, wardrobe, fridge, large bed, chairs and table etc... so we were really comfortable.
Review 89:It was a 15 minute walk or so from the town and the places to see. Not too much of a problem but when we were there it was 40-45 degrees so we ended up walking in and taxi back
Review 90:Everything about this hotel was great- clean, comfortable, modern. Staff were welcoming and helpful and spoke perfect English. Roof pool and bar is a great area to relax! Breakfast was a 10/10
Review 91:The material on the restauration floor should be more elaborate due to wind displacing objects. It can be dangerous with children.
Review 92:All comfort, easy location, jacuzzi, terrace restaurant, swimming pool.
Review 93:A little out of town but can walk or tram
Review 94:Hotel facilities good with bar, restaurants and swimming pool. We had a junior suite which was a nice change from the usual small hotel room. Supermarket across the road.
Review 95:Because we traveled with grandparents, it's important to point out that to get in the bathtub/shower, it could be challenging to older people. We notice that the side of the tub is higher than an average tub and it could be tricky for an elderly person to get in and out.
Review 96:Location, staff, breakfast.
Review 97:air condition did not work very well.
Review 98:The staff was very friendly and helpful. The concierge provided us with some great recommendations on where to eat tapas and it was very good! Enjoyed my stay very much.
Review 99:Double bed is not double, it id two separate beds. We dont like it. Rooms are quite small. Location is not very good, 2 km from centre
Review 100:Large hotel with many people and perdonnel around
Review 101:Service at the Terrace/Cafeteria was below average. I also had tapas with a Spanish friend at the same cafeteria and he got food poisoning from the smoked salmon.
Review 102:Location of the hotel was ideal. Close to both the train station and all major turistic spots.
Review 103:There was no kettle in the room (only a minor point given that it was 40 + degrees during the day.) Naturally the pool area could be busy at times but we were always able to find beds in the sun.
Review 104:Staff were helpful and friendly, hotel conveniently located for San Bernado station and only a short tram ride away from the centre (though we used Sevici since we were there for the week - would recommend!) pool area was nice with plenty of shaded and non shaded areas. The breakfast offering was great, so much on offer. The Cleaning staff always did a fantastic job too. Would definitely recommend.
Review 105:The hotel is located out of old town area and it takes around 15mins to walk there.
Review 106:The hotel is nice and clean. The room is completely equipped and clean. The breakfast is good.
Review 107:Staff were okay but not very informative, we were not told how to get pool towels, pool bar closed at 8pm abruptly, no clear notification that it re=opened later for the evening.
Review 108:Roof top pool is a big plus in the heat, breakfast was great, rooms and hotel clean throughout
Review 109:They are pushing at calling the hotel center, it's a little far from the city. When I arrived the hotel at no water. They blamed the Spanish government. The reality is they were doing maintenence and turned the water off for most of the day. What sort of hotel doesn't have water? The air con in my room made a racket. So much so that at 3 in the morning I had to change room. A bell boy moved most my stuff including my mobile phone which went missing in transit. I got no sleep that night. At check out the hotel manager David didn't offer any discounts for the lack of water or the change of room. In fact he did not really care. No customer service what so ever. I think Seville will have better hotels with better customer care in the city centre. It was a shame and the manager David should be placed on a customer care cause. A dreadful experience.
Review 110:The facilities are fine in the hotel, the reception area clean and my room ok. The gym isn't up to much, the pool and sun terrace is lovely.
Review 111:Summer is not the time to visit Seville as its hot, hot, hot!!!!
Review 112:swimming pool was a must in 100 degree heat! Room air conditioning was a life saver.....
Review 113:Location. Not much around in this area but 15 -20 min walk gets you where you need to be
Review 114:Liked the pool after a day of sightseeing in the heat. Lovely!
Review 115:the bath-room need renewal lighting in the room ist not optimal
Review 116:very good location for us-18 min to train station-AVE, around 15-20 min in the city very kind und professional personal/ everyone/ very, very clean spacious room and bath room
Review 117:The pool is small and was crowded. Internet is good but goes away every now and then.
Review 118:Great location! You have the bus station, tram line, banks, supermarket! All within 5 minutes. Awesome staff.
Review 121:I disappointed with the wireless internet service. The wifi signal strength which was very weak in my room.
Review 122:The breakfast was better than hotel granada center which I had been one night from june 26th.
Review 123:We arrived at about 3pm in a hot day. Very hungry. But we were refused to eat at the restaurant in the hotel due to our casual clothes. It is late lunch time and nobody was in the restaurant. We had to go out to eat. There's no baby bed. The wifi is very slow.
Review 124:The staff are very helpful, especially a male staff and a Chinese girl staff. The breakfast is good.
Review 125:Bed was a little uncomfortable and creaked but room was lovely. The building is lovely inside but looks ugly outside so don't be too disappointed!!!
Review 126:pool is nice and the drink prices are great. Friendly professional staff. Hot shower and powerful. Great terrace.
Review 127:Love everything. Just wished they still had the wicker loungers around the pool area.
Review 128:We stayed for 5 nights. Our room was upgraded free of charge and we had to most massive comfortable bed ever. We loved spending time around the pool and my partner used the free gym. The large pool area is what attracts us to the hotel. It is about a 15 minute walk to the old town but you can hop on the tram at the bottom of the road for 1 euro 40 (pay at the machine) and it only takes a couple of minutes, there's 4 different stops you can get off at, all near main sights. They ran very regular. You can get a top up card which you swipe as you get on and the journey is only 69 cents then. It is a hot and cold buffet breakfast with plenty of choice, from ham, salmon, cheeses, fresh fruits yoghurts to bacon, eggs tomatoes etc... The fried eggs were hard but they happily cooked me some soft ones. As you come out of the doors at the front there is a great supermarket across the road. It is big compared to other supermarkets around Seville but it is easy to miss. There's a nice little place in the park at the side of the hotel where you can get a drink or bite to eat but it did not open until late in the day. It is not in the prettiest area but we love this hotel, if we can get a good deal we plan on staying there for 10 nights next year:)
Review 129:Undortunately there were two single beds in the room and one had cover for kids not to pee the bed so that was a bit strange and uncomfortable to cuddle but other than that we love the view and the room and the bathroom was lovely and big and great value for money
Review 130:Staying deluxe room tried to take 2 cocktails to the room and this was not allowed. Staff could have been more helpful in bar. More beds around pool area needed.
Review 131:Room with large balcony and fantastic views.Upgrade was definitely worth it. Good air conditioning in the room which was needed. Pool was clean and great to have due to high temperatures.
Review 132:The hotel itself is around a 15-minute walk to Plaza Espana, Seville Cathedral, The Alcazabar and the general city centre. That didn't bother me in the slightest, it may bother older or less mobile guests.
Review 133:Smart, clean, tidy, very well-presented. I'd requested for a room on a high floor beforehand which the staff fulfilled - I often find hotels don't. Lovely view and very good value for money. There's also a lovely generously-priced restaurant called Meson Guadalquivir just around the corner.
Review 134:Reception unhelpfull, would not get british paper for me. Asked for paper hankies non arrived after several requests. Often reception under staffed particularly when large coach parties arrived.
Review 135:Proximity to tram
The Fine Print
The pool will be open May through October, subject to weather conditions.
