Reviews for The Broadway Park Hotel
Review 1:Disliked the small breakfast. Disliked the rusty metal work in the bathroom. Disliked the cracked tiless. Disliked the tear in the wall that was hidden by a chair.
Review 2:Loved how comfortable the beds were. Loved how the room stayed so warm. Loved the fact that it's an old stately mansion.
Review 3:Water pressure in the shower was pretty bad. Wifi only available in the lobby and not great connection anyway. TV was really awkwardly placed too and not great if you're looking to use the beach on the whole.
Review 4:Hotel room was clean, though the bathroom wasn't cleaned one day. Rather old looking. Most of the staff were friendly, some were not. It wasn't exactly value for money.
Review 5:There are cheap/styless solutions which are enough for a caravan camp, so destroyed the style of this nice building. The interior/style of the room is too simple, it was a soulless solution.
Review 6:The garden is beautiful, it is close to the beach, but in quiet environment. The old building is very nice. The pool was an unexpected extra.
Review 7:Friendly staff at a clean and tidy Hotel. The décor is slightly old fashioned in a few places but this did not spoil our stay. There was a varied menu on offer and entertainment six nights of the week, giving everyone a quiet night on Sunday. There were no shortage of places to relax, both inside and out and the whole experience was one of satisfaction.
Review 8:It was very difficult to regulate the temperature of the water in the shower as they guests were mostly older I think walk in showers or wet rooms should be added. The hotel also looked and felt tired in need of some tender loving care
Review 9:the gardens were beautiful but could be better maintained
Review 10:internet issues, and interiors I thought were not as good as exterior. Room location wasn't convenient to get around with a baby esp. since the closest lift wasn't working. And then there were renovations going on as well.
Review 11:Staff was brilliant, very kind and helpful
Review 12:Everything. The rooms were very old. Carpet was smelly and torn off. The towels were dirty. No exhaust fan in toilet. No toiletries were provided. Just one small soap and that too was not good. The beds were very cheap quality. No proper lighting in the room. On top of everything. The staff was very very very rude. The make you wait for your breakfast and talk very rudely like we are having breakfast for free. They don't know how to speak to the guests. I am not talking about one of the staff member, i am talking about everyone. Specially the one who serves breakfast. Would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone. In fact i would advise to ignore this hotel if you are going to isle of wight. Pathetic !!
Review 13:Nothing. Seriously Nothing.
Review 14:The room smells. It smells like wetness or from decorations..
Review 15:1.Good value. The price is good. 2.Good services. I booked for arrival in 2330 and the staff on duty waited for me.
Review 16:Breakfast selection was poor and the service was atrocious! There was shouting between the staff, abruptness towards us, toast plonked on our table before we'd asked for it.... The décor is so, so outdated, the whole hotel needs a major refurbishment. I stayed with a friend in a twin room and it had 3 beds?? and very uncomfortable ones at that! Very expensive for what services we didn't receive. Pool wasn't heated so we couldn't use it.
Review 17:Free parking Short walk into Sandown It had a pool Nice old part of the main hotel
Review 18:Very disappointing. Completely mis-sold by the photos and description. Our initial rooms were appalling - dated, tatty, ill-equipped, unclean and mould in the bathroom. Not what one would expect for £80 a night in the Isle of Wight. On pointing out to reception how poor the room was we were offered a 'refurbished' room without any real resistance. This was a significant improvement but there was no mistaking that this has obviously been done on a tight budget - very bright lighting (no dimmer), no bed side tables, a 15 min delay for hot water and every time someone walked passed in the corridor it sounded like they were coming in. Even though, with the hotel almost empty we are somewhat puzzled as to why we weren't given this 'better' room in the first place. If you do make the decision to stay here, an upgraded room is a must but bear in mind that this work is ongoing and starts at 9am prompt, even on a Sunday morning. On asking if there was any chance of stopping the drilling above our heads first thing in the morning we were informed there was not, and the show must go on. At least we got see some of the progress as the ripped out parts of the old room above flew past our window and piled up outside. We appreciate that the hotel is in a difficult position - a need to upgrade to attract more guests but they really need to look after the few lucky guests that are staying there.
Review 19:Leaving. The stand out positive from the hotel was the housekeeping staff who were friendly, helpful and did their very best to address the many shortcomings.
Review 20:The shower didn't work at all. I only stayed one night so didn't effect me too much but any longer and I would want a working shower.
Review 21:Easy parking, friendly staff and well priced rooms.
Review 22:All the staff were helpful and you could see that they enjoyed working for their employers. Food was excellent. Room was above expectations.
