Reviews for Sherwood Bed and Breakfast

Review 1:Would have liked a change of towels; Kettle flex very short to reach socket; Television reception poor.

Review 2:The location; The guest house owners; The breakfasts; The peaceful surroundings.

Review 3:There was no curtain or blind on bathroom window which was plain glass overlooking busy road we wouldnt take a shower because of this we had to hang a towel across the window to give us some privacy to get washed when we mentioned this there was no offer of using another bathroom or shower.

Review 4:Cleanliness of the rooms could have been better. Rails along the bottom of mirrored wardrobes were very dirty and with a made up sign not to move them. Kettle was full of limescale. Old fashioned shower in bathroom.

Review 5:Friendly owner and close to the location to where we were going

Review 6:No complaints whatsoever

Review 7:The Sherwood was just what we were looking for as we were at Ayr for the horseracing It is situated in a quiet area but if golf is your thing it is ideally situated then this is perfect.very close to the coast .It is run by a very charming couple and Kirsten serves up a very good breakfast.Every thing is quite laid back. There is a lovely restaurant nearby, short walk which if required Kirsten will book for you.All in all a pleasant visit.Would use again.

Review 8:Had difficulty finding the accommodation as it was late evening and quite far out of centre of town but the welcome more than made up for it.

Review 9:Very welcoming couple in this B & B. Felt like your own home with its facilities. Would definitely return.

Review 10:The tea and coffee facilities were out of date and I was unable to drink coffee with milk as it had come to dinner or the biscuits as they were also out of date. It would be advisable to change the shower fitting to a thermostatic one as it is very difficult to control the temperature and may lead to scalding of guests.

Review 11:The house itself is very nice and the owners were a lovely couple, the breakfast was fantastic. It seems like a new BB venture.

Review 12:I think the only thing that was an issue was the wifi. I always had to sit on the stairs to use it with my phone. Kirsten and her husband were kind enough to move the router to help out with that, but even then I still had some connection issues upstairs. I think just getting a router that services a broader area would fix this issue quickly. But other than that everything was perfect.

Review 13:My stay at the Sherwood was perfect. I came to Ayr for a wedding at Dunure Castle. Although the B&B was far from where my friends were staying in north Prestwick, I preferred it. It is in a much more beautiful area than what Prestwick and north Ayr offer. Close to many scenic walks and much more peaceful then staying in the city center. Kirsten and her husband were perfect hosts. Breakfast was always great and she was always prompt. When my phone wasn't picking up their wifi signal well, then moved the router for me. When I forgot to buy more hair ties in town so I could do my hair for the wedding, Kirsten was so sweet to give me some. Their dog, Sally, was an added bonus as I really missed my dog back home and they were kind enough to let me cuddle and play with Sally a lot. I absolutely appreciate the day her husband drove me to north Prestwick to a friends house for a post wedding get together that I didn't think I was going to be able to get too when figuring out the bus system was proving too complicated at the time. That personal touch of kindness and generosity at the Sherwood, something that is very evident in most Scottish people, is what definitely would bring me back. Just absolutely wonderful people. I can't wait to go back to Ayr and visit. People like Kirsten and her husband are more than B&B hosts, you can call them friends too. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
